Scam
December 20, 2017

I booked a hotel for one night, thought I was talking to the hotel themself, unfortunately it was the reservations.com. Come to find out they double charged my credit card AND the "service" charge of $14.99 twice. When I contacted my bank about the double charges, my bank tried to side with this loser of a company until I had the opportunity to give my side of the story and threatened to close my accounts and go to a different bank. Unbelievable how these companies get away with this!

Scam!
December 19, 2017

This is scam! Worse experience I have had in a decade. Spoke with an agent who assured me my cancellation was successful and wanted to give me a cancellation confirmation number but I was driving. So he said he was going to send me and email which never came. I was okay with all charges deducted which included processing fee and first night deductions. I called a few days after to find out when my refunds would be available and the agent told me there was no cancellation and that I have to wait for 5 to 10 business for investigation. What a disappointment!

FRAUD
December 17, 2017

The previous revers are correct. Reservation.com is a FRAUD. They charge a $14.99 that only shows up after your booking is confirm and you are not told about it. I cancelled my booking with in 24 hours, first they did not want to cancel the booking. It took over an hour and they initially refused to give the cancellation in writing.
They bill the $14,99 separate from the hotel fee so if you are not paying attention to your credit card statement, you will not notice. I am now disputing it through the credit card company.

I booked a one night stay via this website. Right after the booking, I realized that I made a mistake and need to cancel the reservation. Was told the hotel stay can be cancelled, there is no booking fee but there is $14.95 non refundable service fee. Throughout the entire booking, there is no mention of non refundable service fee. It only shows up in the invoice after booking. When I question what is the service fee for, the answer was 24/7 support. When I asked for a supervisor, I was told one is not available and he or she would call me within hours. Well, nobody called for two days. When I called again, the representative who I talked to can hardly speak but he kept trying to justify the service charge. I had to stay on the phone for 10 minutes and repeadly asking for a supervisor. Finally, he said he would get one for me, but then he continued to talk for another 5 minutes b before he put me on hold to get a supervisor. As expected, he came back and said that no supervisor is available and they will call me in 30 minutes. Their service is terrible and the $14.95 service fee does not even get you a call back from their supervisor.

Scam
December 16, 2017

They charged $90.00 for "taxes and fees", and then $15.00 in a non-refundable "service fee" for a two night $195 stay, all of which was not posted, with charges showing up only after payment. I cancelled the reservation immediately and made it for much less at the hotel itself. Yet their cancellation stated "it may take 30 days for the refund" to show up. Awful!

". Only option is to cancel without a refund." the representative said. I was thinking why the hell I would cancel it with my money lost?.

Okay, the story started here. I searched a hotel, clicked the very first one (it went to reservations.com), clicked on something like "check the rate" and strangely it directly asked my for personal/credit card booking information. I thought, well, after this, it would show me a review page and clicked "complete". Then, I just successfully booked it?! I didn't even know what the total price was!

I went to check my email and found taxes and fees and service fees. What the hell are services fees? I called reservations.com and said this was booked by mistake because of unclear webpage. The response was the first line of me comment

Scammers and frauds
December 13, 2017

I was trying to bood a reservation with an international chain. I had even looked up the specific hotel location that I was trying to book. I was not careful enough,

After booking my reservation with what I thought was the hotel that i wished to stay at I found that my reservation had actually been booked through Reservations, com, In addition the currency had been changed to USD from CAD and that a $15.00 USD fee had been added. This is a total fraud and an outright ripoff. What should have been a straightforward CAD $ transaction will now cost me at least 30% more. AND THE TRANSACTION IS NON-CANCELABLE AS SOON AS YOU MAKE THE MISTAKE OF ACCEPTING IT! BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN MAKING RESERVATIONS AND DO NOT USE RESERVATIONS.COM FOR ANY REASON. THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND CROOKS!

Fraud, Scam
December 12, 2017

You do all the work. Look up the hotel, find the prices, and book it. They intercept traffic to the real hotel. I will file a complaint. They charged a fee for my work. So, the money I saved by looking it up was taken by reservations.com. I will not make this mistake again and hope this company will be shut down for their scam.

Scammers Reservation.com
December 10, 2017

I searched for a hotel, picked Motel 6 and thought I was on their actual website. Turns out I was on reservation.com I was not informed of a non-refundable$14.99 charge until after I booked it! I called immediately and cancelled my reservation because it was also the wrong price that was listed! They cancelled my reservation but said no to the $14.99 charge. I explained that is fraud because there was no mention of that fee... All I got was sorry... Now I have wait 30 days $78 refund. I'm filing a complaint with BBB and my cc company...

Totally unsatisfactory
December 9, 2017

If I could rate 0 stars I would. My wife booked a hotel in England for one night on reservations.com. The confirmation came back with a booking for 15 nights. An immediate call to their customer support resulted in nothing. "You have to call your credit card and refuse the charges" "We can't do anything because (this was Saturday) the hotel manager will not be in until Monday" As if the hotel goes without a manager on duty for two days. Will never use this site again.

The prices advertised are fraudulent. The hotel adds hidden fees at the last moment. The customer service is terrible and they would refuse to cancel a booking even within minutes of making it.

This company are scammers. They rely in Canada on displaying low rates but the rates are based in USD. They cover themselves by displaying at the very bottom right hand corner in small print that rates are USD.

I didnt realize until just after I booked. Called them immediately but the entire transaction was non refundable and they hung up on me

I got $200 back from visa.

You also need to complain to the hotel themselves for doing business with reservation.co

Like many others here, I thought I was booking directly with the hotel and accidentally booked the wrong night. Turns out it was reservations.com and even though I called literally a minute after booking they are not letting me change the reservation to the right day for exactly the same price. Not to mention that they charged me $75 in fees over what they said the reservation was going to cost (literally - the room was listed at $152 and my card was charged for $216 due to a $14 service fee PLUS $49 in fees and taxes!). I spoke to customer service and am waiting for a call back from a supervisor but based on these other reviews I am not holding my breath. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

On 11/30/2017 I wrote that Reservations.com scammed me like many others that have written a review. PLEASE NOTE... I continued to followed up with "Reservations.com" and after many emails they decided to do the right thing and refund my money. Persistence Pays. Now I am looking for the credit on my statement.
Again... I have been calling direct to the motels and been getting a better price. Always check online first, then make the call and use the best pricing you found online... and offer a little less. Better pricing... and refundable should you need to change your plans. Good luck.

Booked a hotel with what I thought was the hotel booking site. Turned out to be Reservations.com. I accidently booked the wrong dates and wanted to change this. The hotel itself said no problem, but that I had to do it through Reservations.com. I got nothing but a run around from them, with many excuses and no immediate action. Not to mention, that even though I live in BC and booked a hotel in BC they apply US costs. So what said on my reservation was $299. I actually was charged $382.! Never ever again

They charge you a non refundable fee of $14.99 without letting you know.
The booking price is higher than just calling the hotel directly.
I will never use them.
I thought I was calling the hotel directly but instead I was connected to this reservations.com. I am disgusted with them. I called them and asked for a supervisor more than once. They put me on hold for a long period, no supervisor ever came back. The operator name was Meg. (probably not her real Indian name) Bad business. El Paso TX.
