I cancelled a reservation and saw the charges reversed on my credit card statement, but I noticed a service charge of $14.99. I had to call customer support, wait 5 minutes for a representative, and demand the charge be reversed, otherwise they would pocket $14.99 for doing nothing.
I would avoid Reservations.com
Don't book through this site. Our reservation was overcharged with extra fees on our CC. Horrible experience then they charged us another fee to cancel with them. No clear at all, very dishonest business. Report to your credit card company if they give you unauthorized charges
Misleads, overcharges, will try to up-sell. They have a steep service fee. They charged me $411 for a two night stay and when I physically got to the hotel, I found out i could have gotten it for $326. This service is a complete and utter waste of bandwidth
Do not use this service. They charged me three times plus $14.99 fee. When I called back to explain they overcharged me, they refused to help. Told me it was non-refundable even though their rep made the mistake. Said they only charged me $214.14 but my bank account charges totaled $289.70, not including the $14.99 fee.
HORRIBLE service!
Well i ran into trouble once and needed a SUV. When i booked from reservations I not only got the car I wanted but also the delivery agent was really helpful in guiding me and making me understand the various features of the car.
My Wife made reservations to Tulalip Resort Casino on October 19,2018. She called five days before check in the make sure all was good with our check in on 1/1/2019. We were told the reservation had been canceled. Tulalip Resort Casino said they could still get us a room but that it would be twice as much. The day of our check in is her birthday and we had family meeting us for dinner and a party. That has been spoiled now. Called Reservation.com to find out why it was canceled. They said there was a problem with our credit card. We checked and found they had billed it twice for to different amounts and then credit said amounts. So in my option either reservation.com or Tulalip Resort Casino is trying to do a Bait and Switch on us.
I booked a room in las vegas for 57.00 with reservations. Com. When I got here I also had a 29.00 resort fee that they didn't tell me about. So my 57.00 room turned into an 86.00 dollar room. I would have never booked a room for 86.00. I called and complained. They said there was nothing they could do, sorry. So here I'm an stuck in a crappy 87.00 hotel room. I will NEVER use reservations.com again.
I searched for Holiday Inn and this site came up. I opened it and thought I was in Holiday Inn's site as this site was disguised to look like their site. When asked if I wanted to make this reservation I confirmed, but expected to see a final price shown and asking for confirmation. This happens on every single site I've ever used in the past! Instead it confirmed the reservation was made and that confirmation was sent to my e-mail. I got the email moments later and they had added on a total of $30 in additional fees. I called them immediately and expressed my thoughts of the hidden fees. I then requested this reservation be cancelled. I was told this cannot be canceled and that I will be charged the full amount, no exceptions. Zero negotiations. This site is set up intentionally to be misleading to scam these extra fees out of you do NOT use this site! Currently disputing these charges through my credit card
While making a reservation on Fairfield Inn and Suites website, site autocorrected to Gainesville, Georgia instead of Gainesville, Florida. When I printed out reservation I noticed discrepancy and immediately called and was told by reservations.com that it was nonrefundable. I called hotel directly, explained error and cancelled(even got cancellation number). Full charge came on my credit card of $470.91. Called Marriott directly and was put in touch with hotel too get refund, which they gladly would do. Only problem is that there was never a payment made to them either. Reservations.com kept there booking fee, the hotel charges AND state fees and taxes.
I thought I was booking directly with the hotel, but later found out it was Reservations.com. It is terrible. The customer service people are not educated on the properties and misled me on my booking. I didn't realize it until it was after the cancellation cut-off. When I called back to see if they could rebook or help in any way... nothing. All I can do now is warn others to SLOW DOWN and make sure you book with someone else with more integrity and customer service!
Good thing I reviewed the confirmation that was emailed to me. Never showed total of credit card charge until I received confirmation. That's when I noticed additional service charges added on. When I called to cancel, the person I spoke with, was extremely rude. RIP OFF! CJN in Alaska
Like most of the other complaints, I too was in a hurry and thought I was booking directly with the hotel, in this case, a Marriott hotel. In fact, the web site was listed as
"courtyordhotelal" and if you are in a hurry, who looks to see that "Courtyard" is spelled differently? I didn't, and the result was that the advertised rate was actually $20 more than what the hotel actually charged me, plus the taxes/fees were almost double what the hotel charged. I'll give them their booking fee of $14.95, but ripping me off for over $45 more than the actual room & tax bill from the hotel is pure robbery. Oh, did I mention that after repeated requests for a refund of the difference, reservations.com declined the request each time. Don't get sucked into the attractive room rates they advertise, because you WILL pay more for the same room than if you simply booked directly with the hotel.
We booked our hotel using the advertised 800 number in Canada. The quote was for $118.09 per night. We ended up paying $197.46 no rebate
You think your on hotel web site with low price. Appears to be low fee and extras never disclosed until after checkout. Tried to cancel but was told I could not. Will be more careful and will never use these guys again.
They claim they are the hotel you think your calling. Even when asking if this is specific hotel they say yes. Do not make reservations unless you call hotel direct, which they claimed it was. Its actually a third party sale with extra fees added on. Once I realized this i tried to cancel and they claimed i reconfirmed so I could not cancel and they said nonrefundable. I had to report to my credit card company about the fraud to stop payment. It is such a mess wasting alot of time because of these scam artists!
I made reservation with them it was most cheapest rate in the hotel reservation web but once I put in credit card info and confirmed them came up different price. I called customer service many times, they told me to refund but they didn't. Be careful.
My husband inadvertently booked a hotel stay through them-same story as others, he thought he was on the actual hotel site. The day before the trip, they sent an email that the reservation was cancelled. Since we hadn't cancelled it, he called the hotel directly, and I called them. After being put on hold multiple times, I was told nothing could be done. Something can; I'm reporting them to the Attorney General's office for theft by deception, and getting together what is needed for a class action lawsuit. Not a good idea to screw over a lawyer.
I booked a room on what I THOUGHT was the hotel's reservation site. I realized afterwards that it was a completely external website. I received an e-mail a couple of days before the day of my reservation from Reservations.com, informing me the booking had been cancelled. I ended up calling directly the hotel and just reserved a room with them (which I will definitely do next time!). Reservations.com charged me the full price of the room, and only refunded me 20$. I wrote 2 e-mails asking when I was going to get the full refund. 3 weeks after my first e-mail, I got an e-mail from "customer support" saying I needed to file a dispute with my credit card company in order to ensure a refund... NOT IMPRESSED!
I want to book a hotel online for my college trip then my friend suggeste this site. It's really soo easy and hassle free. They provide me best customer service. My experience with this site is wonderful. Thank for this.
Simply do not use a company the lies. The person I spoke with came across as sleazy. I asked more than once whether they were the official site of the branded hotel. He never said they were not. I worked it out before giving them my credit card details thank heavens.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.

Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
