This booking agency is awful. Based on a medical need, I could only stay at the hotel 3 of the 5 days. I notified the hotel and reservations.com, upon checking in, if this change. The hotel said it would be no issue but that since I went through s third party, the third party would have to release the funds back to me. When I spoke with reservations.com, they told me that they could not do anything until after I checked out of the hotel and to give them a call back. Upon checking out of the hotel, reservations.com told me they would need to contact the hotel to ensure the hotel would release the funds back to them. Well, they told me they would email and/or call me within one business day. One business day turned into several and I ended up having to call them. After speaking with someone, I asked to speak to a manager. That individual told me that there was not a manager available and that I would have to call a different number and leave a message. After finally getting a hold of a manager (and a week later), the manager said they would follow-up and personally give me a call back. No manager called me back! I received an email, only after emailing the company with my complaint. They denied reimbursing me because they said the hotel would not release the funds. I called the hotel and they said it would not be an issue. I then emailed reservations.com and still have not heard anything from them regarding the reimbursement of the days I did not stay. They did state they would give me a military discount and email me a check for the difference. To date I have not received anymore emails or a check. It's been a month! They owe me $303.16 for the military reimbursement and $286 for the nights I did not stay at the hotel!
The problem with this website is that you start out on a hotel's page and are redirected to reservations.com. You may not even realize that you are on their website if you start from the hotel's reservation website. Once you click the confirm button it's too late you lost your money if you need to make any changes Or cancel your reservation. The hotel doesn't get your money and neither do you. You are 100% scammed. Your credit card company won't help. And the hotel that you intended to book won't help you. DO NOT USE THESE THIEVES.
YOU WILL BE CHARGED A 14.99 NON-REFUNDABLE FEE FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF MAKING A RESERVATION THROUGH RESERVATIONS.COM. IT ALSO SAYS THAT IF YOU CANCEL A RESERVATION, IT MAY TAKE UP TO 30 DAYS FOR THE AMOUNT TO BE REFUNDED.
Total scam. Rip off should be illegal. Charged me twice for the same room. 2 night stay in a less than a one star comfort inn in Atlanta GA, cost me $700.
I ended up making a reservation for a hotel of the same name as the one I intended, but in a different country in a different continent. I recognized this immediately, but was not given any refund at all. I have never encountered such a fraudulent misleading deceitful travel site!
Reservations.com goes to great lengths to make you believe you are booking directly with the hotel. It isn't until you hit pay, that you realize it is non-refundable. And don't try to call immediately to correct your mistake, because they won't do anything about it. They only want your money and have no concern for fair trade practice. RUN AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN from booking anything on RESERVATIONS.COM. I've filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau - and given the number of claims filed against them, I have to imagine that I'm not the only person who feels this way.
You may be making a nonrefundable reservation and not know it.
I'd never make a nonrefundable reservation. Never. Yet somehow I did, and now I've lost over $300 dollars.
Go somewhere else. Expedia, Travelocity, anyplace.
We booked 3 rooms for one night, the next day we asked to change the booking by 1 day. They would do NOTHING to help, just kept reciting their NON REFUNDABLE room policy, we did not want a refund only to change our reservation by 1 night! The policy was almost hidden on their website full of pop ups. They do clearly state it in their confirmation email, but you are already screwed by the time you get it because you can't make ANY changes after confirmation. Definitely will not ever use them or recommend them. Be careful. Their site is one of the first to come up when searching for a hotel!
Throughout the entire booking process it said prices without stating USD and also the page before says all charges in CAD and I have screen shots of page of the transactions. The only moment I realized this was USD was when I received my receipt.
The agent booked us at the wrong hotel. Now they are saying their cancellation policy is non refundable! They are foreigners and very difficult to understand! They would gladly cancel our hotel stay at the wrong hotel but still insisted it was non refundable! Plus they charge a $15 fee to book the hotel that they don't mention to tell u!
Not only did I pay the $14.99 for their service, their room rate and taxes charges were $40 higher than what my hotel receipt said. Their reply, "Oh, but we got the best rate we could...". And I say B. S. Don't use this company!
They add fees and their reservations are not refundable when the hotel policy is not. Don't do busines with them!
I thought I was calling the number for a major hotel. It turns out that the major hotel AND reservations.com BOTH billed me. Reservations.com price was almost $50 more than the hotel charge! I called the hotel, and they credited me for their charge. I asked if Reservations.com was a SCAM. They said it was a third party booking service. Reservations.com had misled me on the phone. When I tried to get a credit from Reservations.com, they had me scan and send them all the proof. First, they said they would reimburse me the difference. Then, after all my time and effort, I received a second email saying they would not reimburse me because I agreed to the price over the phone when I booked it. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH RESERVATIONS.COM!
My experience using this company is consistent with the majority of other patrons. Did not realize we were making reservations through a third party site and no additional fees were shown until after reservation was completed! Then they tacked on close to 50% of the cost of one night stay just in fees! FRAUD! Customer service department is a joke!
Horrible Horrible... Somehow, while booking directly from the hotel site- I got transferred to reservations.com-- not only they overcharged me, and auto selected non-refunbale fare ( which I would have never done knowingly), they messed up the room selection and the email confirmation had errors... as well as notifying that almost $2000. 00 are non-refundable. I immediately started calling them and the reps from Philippines barely speak any English-- It was very displeasing speaking with them to say the least... The hotel reservation manager from the actual hotel- told them that the hotel is ok with refund-- but they still have not refunded me. I will prob be taking them to court if I don't get a refund... Their main office is in Florida... Beware
Hotel was not handicap accessible accommodations. The hotel said they would refund, however since booked through reservations.com, refund did not go through. Aweful experience.
Rip off scam artists! Do not book anything through this company! Appeared to be booking direct with the hotel, charged me $43.00 in taxes and fees without first disclosing these fees!
Worst experience on the phone I've ever had. Everyone there is dumber then a box of rocks and unprofessional. This place needs serious help. Dont book with them unless you want robbed and lied to. And no, I'm not exaggerating.
I was somehow redirected to this site during the booking process. They charged me $43 more than the advertised rate on the hotel website and when I caught as soon as I hit reserve and the actual name of the site popped up I called and they refused to help. Worst customer service and major charges you don't see until you book. DO NOT USE THIS SITE.
Booked hotel in Boise, got confirmation and charged my credit card.
Went to hotel to when time came and no room! Called 1800 number and lady wanted my credit card info again. I said this is a "scam" and she wouldnt respond to my questions. Turned into credit card and they are disputing.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
