RIP OFF COMPANY
July 2, 2019

I booked 2 nights stay in Taunton at Days inn, showed £61 a night, that was good, as soon as I paid, the bill was £167, service charges, and other charges, I have been in a bitter argument with them for over a wk, finally after putting something on twitter, they refunded me £14.99, still battling for the other £30, for your own sanity, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

My husband inadvertently booked a room on this site and the price was much higher than booking with the hotel directly. We were able to cancel with reservations.com but were still charged the $9.99 service fee'. Avoid this site and book directly with the hotel!

Avoid this Company
July 1, 2019

Without knowing I was booking through Reservations.com, I booked a reservation at a Hilton. Both Hilton and Reservations.com charged ($400/night) for the same stay. When I called Reservations.com to get a refund, customer service said they would investigate my claim and refund within 7-10 days. It has now been many weeks. When I called again to complain, customer service said they would investigate, and would let me know the status within 7-10 days. Customer service is terrible - I provided documentation that I had been double-billed, but they have clearly been told to hold onto the money.

Just returned from a family vacation driving from Tx to Las Vegas round trip. On our way to Las Vegas we decided to stay overnight in Albuquerque, We called the Days Inn in downtown Albuquerque thinking we were talking to the Wyndom Hotels which owns Days Inn chain. We didn't know the number actually went to Reservations.com. We reserved 5 rooms. I explained to the lady that booked the room that we had ALL senior citizens in our group, including my 93 year Mom. Therefore, IF the rooms were all on an upper floor we would DEFINITELY need a hotel with an elevator. She assured me we were covered. Upon arrival, we discovered that there was NO elevator and that the rooms were ALL on the second floor. I called back to what I thought was Wyndom,/Days Inn and she apologized. She also couldn't find any decent hotel rooms available in Albuquerque BUT there were rooms at a Best Western in Grants New Mexico, about 62 miles west and that it had an elevator. We went there only to have the front desk tell us that there were NO ROOMS at all. We even had reservation numbers but it didn't matter. There were no rooms! We went across the street to Holiday Inn Express and THEY had excellent rooms, great rates AND a free breakfast which was really nice! From now on, we will ALWAYS book with Holiday Inn Express! Now to our return trip. We called the Days Inn in Amarillo to book 5 rooms. The advertisement on the web looked nice and it looked like it was a good property with fairly decent reviews. We called once again what I THOUGHT was Days Inn/ Wyndom, made reservations with a credit card for late arrival, 5 rooms. All set! Upon arrival, they only had reservations for FOUR rooms. Fortunately, there were 2 no shows and the clerk was able to get us the 5th room. Bottom Line is, DO NOT USE Reservations.com for any hotel bookings..

I was tricked into thinking I was calling my Hotel directly but it was Reservations.com. The agent told me I would have a suite with 2 Queen beds and a roll away bed. The room was not a suite and there was no roll away available. The rate was higher than if I had booked through my IHG Rewards App. The agent lied. My reservation was non-refundable. Terrible service. Do not use Reservations.com. Rip-off.

Booked motel only to find they had attached $15 service charge. When canceled, they informed me that they would remove service charge but I would be charged for room regardless.

While attempting to make a reservation at my local hotel for business partners I was lead to believe I was booking through the corporate hotel website. They are impossible to work with and rude. Just keep giving you the run around. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I needed to move a reservation and after sitting on-hold for a while worked with their customer support to do this. Was informed my hotel reservation was cancel and I would see a refund, except for my reservation fee (Note: this required getting hotel management involved). When I did not receive my refund, called back and reservations.com indicated they had no record of my call and would not remove the charge (said they needed proof). Contacted hotel (who was involved in cancellation discussion (and they had a record of the call), but they refused to refund. Followed up again (as charging full rate on cancellation in Canada is not allowed) and was promised a refund. After multiple calls back, still no refund. Would never use them again (Note: a direct call to the hotel will typically get you as good of a rate, especially in canada).

Flight delayed, and customer service no help in not losing a prepaid room. No where to stay at 1:30 am with minor child. Could only find room in shady motel. So cost me 2 nights of hotel for 3 hours of sleep. Customer service hung up, left me on hold, promised to call back... NOTHING. Fully paid non-refundable... but I wanted the room so how can I be charged when they didn't hold it for me and I didn't get to use it?

Zero Stars
June 26, 2019

Zero stars isn't an option but this company provided fraudulent statements over the phone which resulted in our loss of over $750. You are making a big mistake using the deceptive company.

We used reservations.com and were charged $36.06 more than the hotel's pricing. I booked the reservation on 6/22/19. I checked out of the hotel on 6/23/19 and the hotel gave me a receipt indicating the lesser charge. Reservations.com explained this discrepancy as pricing fluctuations and would not refund the difference. Do not use this site unless you want to pay more than the hotel actually charges for the room. In addition, the initial price reservations.com displays is higher than the price they actually charge.

Total Ripoff
June 26, 2019

This website highjacks your browser so you don't know you are booking through them... then they charge you more for the room and an additional 14.99 service fee. STAY AWAY.

Reservations.com popped up first upon my making a reservation for a stay at a familiar hotel in my hometown. Here's what I got: higher than regular overall price as total cost was not quickly revealed, an additional credit card charge for 14.99 for reservations.com, and the inability for the hotel to make any changes to the reservation because a 'third party' had done the booking. I never will make this mistake again. It's a worthless service and unnecessarily costly.

I am appalled by the unprofessional representative that I spoke with earlier today!

I specifically asked the agent if I was calling the actual hotel and her response was that this was the ONLY number to make reservations for any Hyatt hotel. I was very surprised to see a $14.99 charge on my credit card especially since she informed me that there were NO hidden fees. I was also told that under no circumstances would I be able to cancel my reservation. And that I could not cancel my reservation. She also proceeded to tell me that this was the ONLY room left but as I checked in at the hotel I was very surprised to hear that statement was incorrect! I specifically chose this hotel for the breakfast that was supposed to have been included but I was informed that because I booked apparently through Reservations.con (Expedia), it wasn't! This is the worst customer service that I have ever had experience with and I cannot believe Expedia trains their reps to flat out lie!

Site was misleading and made to look similar to the hotel site. Lied about the reservation being non-refundable (called the hotel direct, they said it was refundable). No mention of the $14.99 service fee. Charged more than double the actual taxes ($20.98 vs $8.99 as shown on the hotel site). Would not show the total amount to be billed until after the transaction went through. This place is a total ripoff.

I booked a room with them thinking it was the hotels website because it looked the exact same. The room said it was $160 per night, ok not bad. After booking I didn't look at the total cause I assumed I would be charged the standard tax rate and fees. I MESSED UP! They charged me and Extra $282.54 tax and service fee plus $14.99 for a single person booking(5 Night Stay). This averaged my room cost to be $230 per night! After contacting to fix, HORRIBLE Customer Service! I looked up other 3rd Party bookings and I would have only been charged $70 compared to $28.54 plus $14.99 STAY AWAY!

Made a reservation in April thru Reservations.com. First told that the reservation could be cancelled and was refundable. Then at booking told it was non refundable. Representative said there were no hotels in the area and this was the last room. It was a major function and I did not want to lose the room. After booking called the hotel directly. Rooms were available. This company only wants to book using lies and deceit. DO NOT FALL FOR THE SCAM.

Buyer beware! USE BOOKINGS.COM INSTEAD of reservations.com! I booked the same Holiday Inn Resort for the same week on both Bookings.com and Reservations.com. Both said no cancellation fee if cancel before a certain date. I needed to cancel the rooms over a month before our reservation date, weeks before the cancellation deadline. It was super simple on bookings.com. I simply went to their website, entered my reservation #, and hit "cancel", done! I immediately received a confirmation email that I would be receiving a full refund and there was no cancellation fee. I then we to their website, could not find a way to cancel, so used their "chat" option. The chat person said they could not help. So I had to call. I called and the rep said their was a 1 night cancellation fee of $400 even though the cancellation policy on their site said otherwise. I went back and forth with her, then asked to drop the reservation down to just the 1 night and cancel the other days to avoid the cancellation fee. She said she could not modify the reservation, only cancel it and charge me the fee. Ridiculous! I asked to speak to a supervisor. The queue for talking to a supervisor was so long she had to take my phone # and said they would call me within 24hrs. It has been over 24hrs. And still no call. I even tried calling the resort to modify my reservation, but they said they could not do anything because I booked through reservations.com. I hope this review helps others not lose $400 on a cancellation fee like I did for such shady practices. USE BOOKINGS.COM INSTEAD! I got better pricing from them and had a much easier cancellation experience with a full refund.

I made a reservation and was charged for the room before the trip. The hotel had issues which necessitated to move us to a different hotel for the first 3 nights. The hotel also offered to refund the last night due to the inconvenience. Reservations.com did not communicate the hotel had reached out to tell us they needed to move us. Reservation.com did not communicate the hotel offered to refund the last night and would not refund to us the last night. A family member made a separate reservation directly with the hotel so we knew there were issues. I'm afraid we would have been on the street at arrival and reservations.com was keeping the money for the last night no matter what. Not a reliable company you can trust will help you when something happens.
