I booked a hotel on this website yesterday. I was redirected from the actual hotels website but didn't realize it until I had already made the booking and saw how much more the cost was then by booking directly on the hotels website. That was the first indication this website is a scam. I immediately called and cancelled the reservation. I received a cancellation email right away. Then today I saw a charge for $19.99 in my bank account. When I called customer service the rep argued with me saying it's a non refundable fee, and refused to put me through to a supervisor. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. Book directly on the hotels website!
We rented a room and was given a receipt for 125. Our bank statement is 162.81 PLUS and additional 19.99 reservation fee. 182.80 for a room that was 125.09 after tax. Customer service is TERRIBLE. I've been on hold for almost an hour. The rep said she cannot refund me because we have already stayed. Obviously... we were told by the hotel the price would correct itself and if not to call. And now she's saying she cant do anything. Screw this business.
I recently booked with this service. Had an issue when we arrived at the hotel (no parking on site), we were expected to walk 3 blocks to use a private parking lot. Immediately cancelled and luckily found another place to stay. When I informed this service about my issue, it was very quickly reviewed and resolved with a refund. Very happy with the excellent customer service and will definitely book with them again in the future.
I searched on Hampton *******@leessummit and fit reservation.com. I made four room reservations and was unknowingly charged 19.99 for each room. I was not told this was happening. Then, due to an illness, the rooms had to be cancelled. All of a sudden my one room... the most expensive one was reconfirmed and now it was umcancellable. Thanks to the Advocate, my reservations we're cancelled but I have yet to know the dollar amount of credit I will receive. This was not a positive experience for me... and it still could be a nightmare when I see the amount credited... I just do not feel good about this whole thing... from beginning to end.
Beware! Agent speaks very quickly and with very heavy accent so the fact that they tack on a non-refundable fee of $19.99 is unintelligible. This is ridiculous and outrageous.
These people are con artists. Don't use them. They are happy take your reservation, but just try to cancel it and they come up with a "service fee" of $19.99 which I will dispute on my credit card. I'm afraid they may even use my credit card for spurious charges.
Was charged a $20. Service fee and $102. For incidentals whatever that is
Would never use them again

I thought I was making a reservation through the hotel directly but somehow I ended up making my reservation through Reservations.com. They change a $20 non refundable fee so when I had to cancel my reservation they wouldn't refund the entire amount. When I made the reservation over the phone they NEVER told me about the fee. DO NOT USE RESERVATIONS.COM!
I booked through reservations.com thinking it was the hotels web site because when u r on there site it say book now so u press that button and get redirected to reservations.com. I asked if this was the hotel and the fellow said yes it was the reservations for the hotel So I proceeded. Then I asked for the rate it was $195.00. I asked was that the best rate he said yes. I then asked again if this was the hotel and he said no it was reservations.com. So I asked is this the same or better rate then the hotel and he said yes. So I continued with the booking. My full charge was $207.54. When we got to the hotel we were told we had to reserve the pool because of covid. It was all booked so we couldn't use the pool that night. I was not told when making the reservation that the pool had to be reserved. When we checked out I asked the front desk guy what a room cost at the Medicine Hat holiday Inn. They had a promotion on it was $139.00 a night. Reservations.com are a rip off don't use them. Make sure u r talking to the front desk of the hotel every time. Fool me once but it won't happen again.
The customer service at Reservations.com is about the poorest I have ever dealt with. On July 9,2020 I was trying to book a hotel room and I was having issues with constant ads jumping in, I thought I was off all of the sites and called the hotel directly and booked my stay. I did not look at my email nor my bank account until I was home at which time I seen that a booking and a booking fee was charged to my account from reservations.com. I paid cash at the hotel for my stay therefore I called reservations.com customer service on July 12,2020. As of today Sept 11,2020 I am still being asked to be patient as they are still reviewing my case and I have not been refunded any monies yet. I have been in constant contact through phone calls and emails and have been told by several customer service reps they are still reviewing my case. I have been told 5 different times that I need to wait 7-15 business days here it is 2 months later and I am still waiting. I will never do business with this company again and I have nothing good to report. It took less than 24 hours to charge my account for a reservation I did not even realize I made and it has been 2 months trying to get my money refunded back to my account. If i could leave a 1/2 star rating I would but only option is a whole star.
Reservations.com is a scam! VISA is allowing them to continue their fraudulent activity. I booked a hotel room in Canada thinking that it was the official hotel booking site. I realized the charge came in foreign currency and additional hidden fees. I immediately called them. They told me that they submitted waiver to their billing department and cancelled my reservation. After two weeks, I got an email that my request for waiver denied. I confirmed with the hotel that no reservation was transmitted. So they simply pocketed the full money and send me additional charges.
We thought we were booking direct with the motel. They quote the right motel price and get your credit card. Then get your receipt through email they have high hidden fees and terrible (none) customer service when you try to get help. They are a a rip off, are misleading and an awful company. Our charge ended up over 20% higher than if we would have booked through a reputable company. Don't book through them.
This organization is unethical took $400 from me for a reservation I cancelled due to Covid 19. The hotel told me there were no charges from them. But Reservations.com has refused to release the 2 night hold back to my credit card 45 days later.
Absolutely unethical business
I would suggest not using this site when booking hotels. There policy states no refunds on hotel stays. We recently booked a hotel room through this site and had to cut our stay short Based on circumstances so we canceled our last night with the hotel. We are now out over $100 dollars because reservations.com will not refund the money for the one night since they take the money up front. I would rather deal with the hotels directly because they will honor refunds in this situation
I made a reservation on July 13,2020 for a friend and paid for it on my charge card. Reservation was maid through RESERVATIONS.COM. As I was unable to download and fax back a charge card approval form, the hotel cancelled the reservation. The cancellation was made within an hour of making it. Cancellation was through no fault of our own. Two charges were made on my card. After spending considerable time on the phone trying to rectify situation, one charge was returned but other charge for $19.99 was not. After hours more on phone I was told refund would be issued 7 to 10 days. It was not. Today I have talked to 4 different people, had my call disconnected three times after asking for a supervisor. After all that, I was assured that the $19.99 fee would NOT be refunded even though my reservation was cancelled by THEM. As the call was not handled in the USA, I heard roosters crowing in the background on one call, it just goes to prove, DO YOUR BUSINESS WITH AMERICAN BUSINESSES LOCATED IN OUR GREAT COUNTRY OF UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
They have absolutely no focus on customer service or repeat business. Horrible company to deal with. They screwed me over.
I made a reservation for two rooms at a hotel for one night. I was given the impression that I was dealing directly with the hotel, that I could cancel up to the arrival date, and I could cancel with a full refund. I realized that I was dealing with Reservations.com when I saw the confirmation. When I cancelled my reservation I was refunded the room fees but not $20.00 per room for extra costs. I didn't know I was paying for extra costs. Also, the cancellation date was a week earlier than what I was told when I booked. No apparent recourse. Not impressed!,
This company "stole" $1380 for my reservation that was cancelled due to pandemic. After multiple calls & them 'warning' me not to go into disputes but "be patient & (they) would get me my full refund", they never produced & when I did go to my credit card, they told me that they would never give me back my money because I took it to Disputes ( who were also unable to get my money from them & just closed the case ( Citibank MC). Furthermore I was scolded by Nick who more or less told me that I almost caused him to "lose his job" ( couldn't explain why & frankly had nothing to do with thise issue. After speaking with Norwegian Airlines, they assurred me that thiey sent the full refund to reservations.com & so cannot help me from here. This company also seems to go under various aliases including "Flight Trade". Beware. This company is run by East Indians who may or may not even be in this country.
We thought we were calling the hotel when we were actually calling reservations.com. A person with poor English skills did not identify the entity that we were calling, did not disclose their no-refund policy, and did not disclose the fee amount (19.99). They added no value and cost more than booking directly through the hotel. We re now attempting to cancel the reservation with apparently little success. DO NOT USE THIS SO-CALLED SERVICE.
Big scam... stay away. You make a reservation and if u need to cancel the wait time on the phone can be an hour or more. Speaking to a Represenative who barely speaks English. Absolutely awful to deal with.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
