Can't give it 0 stars. - Greedy scammers

The good: well, when I got to the hotel, they had my reservation.
The bad: they did not have my payment. I had to pay again.
The ugly: when I got home I discovered that ReservationDesk had charged me $100 more than my bill at the hotel. This included $87 in un-differentiated "taxes and fees" on top of the disclosed but non-refundable service charge for making the reservation.

After a few hours invested in providing documentation, I got a refund - from the hotel for its legitimate room charges, leaving the $100 extra reservation desk costs standing.

I will be more careful in the future, and I can assure you I will avoid ReservationDesk like the plague. I would advise you to do so as well.

An original intention to stay at Westmark Inn in Dawson City for two nights and then drive back to Whitehorse was mercilessly affected by a sudden closure of the Klondike Highway due to flooding and a damage it caused to a bridge. It was necessary to extend our stay for an undetermined period of time. At the reception, I was told that maybe I could be accommodated and was told to proceed via hotel's Website. As if the closed Highway 2 was not enough, the Website informed me that there were no vacancies. An attempt to use Expedia resulted in the same "no rooms available" message, which was a pretty depressing outcome, indeed. I tried to maintain a positive attitude towards my fate and wore a forced smile, but I was not able to hide my desperation, which was noticed by a Guest Service Manager Rebecca MacLeod. She instantly understood the problem my wife and I were facing and resolved it in a manner, which was a wonderful fusion of professionalism and kindness. Her actions were swift and resolute, her words were polite and reassuring, her demeanour was authoritative yet cheerful. My recollections about traveling in Yukon will be spoiled a bit by a temporary closed Klondike Highway and the change of plans, but they will be sweetened by a humane treatment experienced at Westmark Inn in Dawson City. Cancellation policy

We had several delays of our flight and made reservations through Reservations desk and specifically asked about the cancellation policy.
Well guess what, the flight was cancelled and we
Cancelled our reservation and still was charged
For the room. We do a lot of traveling and never
Had this happen, but we learn a lesson. We will NEVER use the outfit again.

Dishonest

Called and was told I would get an exclusive deal through them of $195 a night. That it would cost me $235 if went to the desk at the Holiday Inn and payed without the exclusive discount. INCORRECT! It was $139 and with AAA discount it came to $125.
Took them less than 5 min to book me. It's been over an hour to get someone to get back to me to cancel my reservation. I'm still on hold as I write this review. Stay away from this place.

I thought I was booking a room with the intended hotel directly, however I accidently booked with Reservation Desk instead. In reading the cancelation policy it appeared that it was possible to cancel, as per the website's Cancelation Policy Description - If you do not check in to the hotel on the first day of your reservation and DO NOT ALERT THE HOTEL IN ADVANCE, the hotel reserves the right to cancel your reservation and you may be charged for the full amount - this piece about "not alerting the hotel in advance" seemed to imply that you could cancel in advance of your booking.
I called twice to discuss the possibility of a refund - my initial interaction was very positive, the customer service representative was very understanding and helpful - however the second time I called the customer representative was sarcastic and was frustrated that what I was asking meant that she had to contact her superiors several times.
I will be extra vigilant the next time I book a hotel - making sure that it isn't accidently through Reservation Desk.

STAY AWAY!

Tried to book a room online,site said couldn't process, they charged my card twice and won't refund me even though I didn't get a booking. No email confirmation nothing. I have spoken to them twice about a refund. The first girl said 3-5 business days. That was a month ago, still no refund. Talked to another girl today who tried to tell me I had never talked to anyone before. Was told that it was not her problem and that I needed to call my bank (I've already done that) but thanks for the help reservation desk! Good to know you don't care about your customers. Don't waste your money! Go somewhere else

Total scam

Worst place ever

The absolute worst bed we have ever slept in. The place said there was a lake view there wasn't. Supposed to be non smoking but smelled pot and cigarette smoke in hallway. Make you sign a waiver against theft before you get a room. Carpets were filfty and burnt and burnt spots on hot tub and had to call for a plug for hot tub
No breakfast, and offer noodles for 5.00 really? Travelers be ware do not stay at this place. The only good thing was the afternoon clerks.who was nice, but everyon e else seemed sketchy. Find another place if you want a good nights rest. And that was for their best room according to them. Ridiculous that they get away with charging the prices they do.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I made my reservation online and within 5 minutes I call them to change the date of the reservation. Was told I could not change. After spending an hour on the phone with them, they offered me a ten percent discount. I have never dealt with a company like this. Hotels let you cancel 24 hours before with no charge.

I made a reservation for 5 people over the phone and was assured I would have 2 rooms with a king bed 2 queens and a couch. After getting my credit card info and charging it for $1,100. I got an itinerary and it was for two people for one room. They admitted their fault but now refuse to refund the money. Called immediately to cancel. Saying it's a no cancel policy but I was told I could cancel up to July 2! However this is their error. This is a very CROOKED UNPROFESSIONAL company. Still fighting them and sitting on hold for hours.

Awful All Around

I wasn't aware that the website for the motel that I went on re-directed me to reservationdesk.com where I plugged in my information for a one night stay in Hayward WI. Not even two hours later I had to cancel b/c of illness in the family and when I tried to get cooperation from the customer service and his supervisor, I was only told "no refunds" and "is there anything else I can help you with?" They charged me the ENTIRE night's stay plus a booking fee of $15.99, total of $171. IMMEDIATELY too! I said, ok, if you're charging me, I'm staying in the room, I'll find something to do in Hayward instead of seeing my grand daughter's dance recital. NOPE! They wouldn't reinstate the room no matter what, only said "is there anything else I can help you with?" So I told her, I know you can take the money, and then comp another room. NOPE! Would not do that either. SO, I called the motel directly and explained what I just said here and she goes, SURE! We will put you in a room, no problem. So, this reservation desk is absolutely a scam! DO NOT USE IT! They are rude on the phone, unsympathetic and the poorest customer service ever! And can't speak English!

My husband booked the reservation as I have been slammed with work, I usually call the hotel directly. We had a family emergency and we were not looking to cancel the reservation but switch to different dates and actually add 2 days. I called the hotel first as I did not know he used this company and the hotel was happy to change our dates however once I called this third party company they were not as accommodating as the actual hotel m. Even with that they had me talk to someone who was brand new and did not know what he was doing. I could hear the person in the background telling him what to do. Booking with this company was a complete mistake. We stay at this hotel all the time and have much better experiences booking directly or with hotels.com or Expedia. Book with them but make sure that there is not an emergency.

Disappointing

Was told I was booked at a Comfort inn and suites, 2 rooms with 2 double beds a 2 minute walk from my function. Received no confirmation email.so I called to find out where the confirmation email was. Only to find out I'm booked at Thiftlodge at a ridiculous price for a 1 star hotel and obviously past the cancellation hour, with 2 king rooms and 1 bed. Unacceptable! Numerous calls no one cared to help or provide any resolution other than did you want to cancel but it's past cancellation time so we keep your money no matter what.
Dissatisfied that I was lied to and scammed.

The medical room was nice and well kept quiet the only problem i had meds to be warmed up and no micro wave in room but there was plenty of coffee be nice if there is 1 for my next stay
The restraunt served a crapyest breakfast ever it was cold burnt 1 cup of potato about about a table spoon fried egg thrown on top of potates and about 1 tea spoon of cheeze the size of a quarter on top of that the toast wasnt even browned the baccon was cold and burnt as well not wort 2 for 25.00 we will not be getting food from this restraunt again
It will be worth the drive uo the street to a/w mcdonalds or timmmies or order in

A Scam Company

This company scammed me with two lies!
The first lie is that I was told that this company couldn't process my senior discount with AAA and that I could do that at check in with the hotel. I called the hotel and they said that they couldn't honor the discount because the reservation had already been made!
The second lie was when he said the price of the room was 98.00.
When we talked to another customer service rep at Reserve Desk said the price on her computer said 61.74.
The next customer service at Reservation Desk said that it would take 5 to 7 days to review the recording
And that they would get back to us then.
After that it took them 5 to 10 minutes to email me that they had decided not to allow the discount.
If they had really listened to the "recording" they said they had, they would have seen that we were lied to. I guess that made it a third lie. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Scam

I thought I was booking at the hotel. The representative was polite. I received a confirmation email, but there was no booking R the hotel. There was, however, a charge from the reservation desk website for $15.99. Parts of the website don't work.

They disguised them selves as a Hampton site. When I asked question why taxes were 30-35% they could not answer me. Had to pay up front which I never have before, documentation they sent me (no Receipt) said I could cancel up to Sunday they day before my stay. Canceled on the same day I booked and they refused to let me cancel. So I re-booked directly with the hotel and disputed the charges with my credit card company. They never Identified themselves as reservation desk.com until you called back. Shady, Shady shady scammers

Horrible

When I booked my reservation I paid an extra fee in the event of cancellation; however I had to cancel my last night due to bad weather that was out of my control. I wasn't going to travel throguh 3 provinces in a storm. No one would reimburse me; hotel wouldn't nor would Expedia. Expedia told me I had to contact the hotel so I did and the hotel told me Expedia lied and it's in their control to reimburse me not them. I will never well never ever use Expedia again or stay at the Hilton in due to very poor and rude customer service.
