I called reservation desk thinking I was calling the hotel. I provided the address, name of hotel, the number of beds I needed and chose a refundable rate. Guess what...the wrong hotel was booked, not enough beds, and got a non-refundable rate. The call dropped but they put the charge through without confirming details. Called back within minutes when I got the confirmation email, and they wanted a $174.32 charge to cancel. Not even my mistake. An "audio review" was conducted of the phone call and they said the agent did not make an error. The mistakes listed above are not mine, sorry. Quite the scam they run. DO NOT USE!
These people took our money and did not provide us a room. When we got to the hotel to check in, the hotel was completely booked. And we had to look for a new room until 1 a.m. in the morning. These people will take your credit card information and your money. So unprofessional and very disappointed In people like this. I wouldn't recommend anyone using them unless you want money taken from you.

Do not use this company to book a hotel. Their agent lied throughout the entirety of the call, and made so many errors. It wasn't until I received my reservation confirmation that they didn't listen to the corrections I had made.
We wanted a hotel near the Ottawa International Airport that had long term parking and an Airport shuttle.
1. The first rate was too expensive. I thanked the person and told them I would look elsewhere. They said they would look for something else.
2. Second attempt they had me in Victoria, British Columbia
3. Third attempt. Correct city, hotel downtown Ottawa, no shuttle
4. Fourth attempt. The hotel they offered was in Ontario, California, USA. When I said that wouldn't do they go frustrated and said, "Well it's near the international airport" Yes, yes, it is, but in another country.
5. Fifth attempt. B&B correct city, close to airport. The agent said that there was long term parking and a free shuttle
Just as I finished giving all of my information, and credit card, I looked up the B&B website. It did not have a free shuttle to the airport, or long term parking. I said can I cancel? I was told that I was lucky my credit card wasn't billed yet. They quickly, and I mean so quickly I could catch few words of the cancellation policy they recited. Then I was transferred to someone else, who read the cancellation policy. I caught what they said, even though I was cancelling well over a week away from my check in dates (or what was supposed to be my check in date). I asked why that was.
The new agent said, did the other person not read you cancellation policy prior to making the reservation? No, they did not.
Then I opened reservation email and it was for dates a month out from when I wanted. Even though I corrected the original agent when they said August. I said no that's July. They said, oh yes.
I had also confirmed with original agent and the new agent that my credit card would not be billed until check in date. They said that is correct.
They said they could not cancel unless B&B owner agreed. I said but the dates are your error. B&B owner did not agree to cancellation. I called B&B owner, and he said it was their policy, no matter the booking agents error. He told me my credit card would be charged within the next couple of days. So another lie by the reservation desk booking agent.
My concern apparently has been escalated, and my call will be reviewed and listened to. I am honestly doubtful that I will hear back at this time.

I was directed to RD although I had searched for the hotel by name. Went ahead and booked. Made my reservation in Feb. 2023 and in June 2023 received a diagnosis from my physician which made it necessary to cancel my July 2023 trip. RD told me to submit my request with medical documentation, RD would forward on to the hotel and the hotel would decide what to do. (The hotel told me it's up to RD, not the other way around). I was denied a refund so I lost out on $578.52. I worked hard to save for this trip and not only did I have the disappointment of not being able to travel, I am now out the money. I find the responses from RD to these comments absolutely laughable. If RD is really going to review your request or speak with the hotel partners, why wouldn't they just do that to begin with? Their cancellation policy is a joke and cleverly hidden in their webpage. It's very difficult to sit back and let this happen.

The staff was very unhelpful in rescheduling me hotel. I requested to have my hotel rescheduled to the following weekend and they told me I would have to cancel and pay for my reservation, rebook and pay their fees again for the next weekend. They charge you $15.99 service fee for their customer support that is suppose to help in situations like this but all they do is take your money. I'm very disappointed in this company and I would recommend using a different company when booking hotels online.

I had the worst experience I've ever had booking hotel reservations. I thought I was connected to hotel desk. They totally misrepresented themselves. This company is a full on SCAM, it is NOT SERVICE oriented at all, they don't care about the customer. Will overcharge you and not refund you the money for a cancellation. I cancelled my reservation within minutes after I got the confirmation email and realized they had booked me with a different property that I initially called. They said their system will not allow them to process a full refund. I was on hold for hours trying to resolve this, and couldn't speak to anyone with authority to make any decisions I finally had to dispute the charges with my credit card company. Unbelievable and SHAMEFUL. STAY away, make sure you are in speaking with the actual hotel desk. When I asked, they said the were the reservation desk, but that is the name of the company, totally misleading and misrepresentation!

E booked a 2 night stay due to upcoming scheduled surgery. We thought we were booking with the hotel directly and were not told otherwise until the booking was complete. The following day the surgery date was changed to the following week so we called back to change the reservation. The agent said that wouldn't be a problem and proceeded to book the second date and charged my credit card again. He then said that he would transfer us to someone else to handle the refund. This agent said refund was not possible because it was non-refundable. My complaint is that it was a simple change of date and not a cancellation. These guys are scammers and money grabbers. DON'T BOOK WITH THEM!

I mistakenly booked with this scammer website. I thought I was on booking.com. - the Reservation Desk icon kept going clockwise then counterclockwise but never went through. So, on my end on the computer, it timed out. On their end however, it went through. Not knowing this, I switched over to booking.com and made my reservation and got the 2-night stay for $95 cheaper. At this point I received an email confirmation to which I immediately cancelled. To confirm, I called their customer service care team and received unprofessional feedback. I could barely understand the Indian woman, as she attempted to explain their totally screwed up cancellation policy, which is basically a license to steal. They did absolutely zero work on their end to accommodate me. They literally wanted $466 out of the $582 to cancel 15 minutes after I mistakenly made the reservation on their site. HOW CAN THIS BE LEGAL? Buyers beware! Do not use this RESERVATION DESK website EVERRRRRR! You have been warned! Save yourself the time and money before getting involved with them. DO NOT RECCOMEND!

Here, I request a full refund from your company because my experience from your ReservationDesk.com is very bad and I am very unhappy with your service. The following are the reasons:
1, I called you for making the reservation of Holiday inn, but your staff mislead me to book Americana Inn and told me the two hotels are almost same. But we found the two hotels are totally different when we arrived at the hotel.
2, I called you to cancel the reservation, but my phone call has never been picked up by your staff after the reservation made. So we have to stay at Americana Inn.

We reserved 4 rooms but when we checked on our rooms today only 1 room was available. As this was their fault not ours we were told we would need to pay a penalty of 1 day cost plus a fee. We called BS but they did not care. We will cancel the payment of our credit card and call it the fraud it is.

All negative:
1 - had no intentions of booking through a third party. It is an undercover site that took over reservation from the hotels web page
2 - fees are astrynomical! And still had to pay an incidentals fee to the actual hotel upon check in
3 - Called the hotel (which was actually this company) to reserve a hotel room with 2 double beds and a pull out sofa. Was told sure no problem! Upon check in, my room had no sofa and the hotel said they did not even have rooms with 2 beds and a sofa!
4 - Was told I could have my reward points for the hotel chain added at time of check in. Complete lie. Hotel said no that was impossible to do
5 - to top it off I then had a family issue and had to leave a night early. Hotel would not even let me check out because it was through this company, so I just left my keys at front desk. And hotel employees assured me there was no chance of getting a partial refund on the night I did not stay becuase it was through this company.
6 - I figured I would try to get the partial refund. Considering I checked out a day early by 12pm, and this was such a disastorous experience, maybe they would want to address the issues. I told the person I spoke with on the phone (Ema was her name) all of the problems and that I was leaving early and she put me on hol for 35 minutes while attempting to contact hotel. Then told me she would call me back by 5pm once the manager was in. Surprise... I heard nothing. 2 days later I get an email saying my request for partial refund was denied. I honestly was not surprised by this, but it did give me the needed incentive to let everyone else know what an absolute joke this company is! Nothing positive to say at all. I will never use this company or their parent company priceline ever again.

The hotel I used steered us to this company! When I tell you they charged me almost 600 for a room that was 450 for the same days, and then stated I have to pay a day for the having the reservation for 1 hour, I hit the roof! Working with ReservationDesk.com has been the worst booking experience I have had as an adult. As a State/Government Employee, I use a State Issued Purchasing Card to make/pay for reservations. I told the booking agent that my reservation is Tax Exempt. I was informed by the booking agent to provide that information to the hotel upon my arrival so that the hotel could verify my Tax Exempt status. I told the booking agent that I wasn't interested in working with Reservation Desk, and wanted to try a different avenue to book my reservation. I was told by the booking agent that "even if you call the hotel directly, you're call would still be forwarded to 3rd Party Reservation/Booking Agency. Both were lies told to me by the booking agent. The hotel I stayed at was unable to refund me the taxes charged to my card. I was told that "I would have to work that out through the 3rd Party Reservation/Booking Agency" that I went through. Additionally, I could have contacted the hotel directly to book my stay. I confirmed this by calling Springhill Suites directly. Lastly, the upcharge was absolutely ridiculous: Springhill Suites would have charged me $174.52 for a 1-night stay if I would have booked through them directly. Reservation Desk charged me $269.77. The entire process of working with Reservation Desk was horrible, the worst booking experience I have ever had. I am in the process of escalating my grievance with Reservation Desk. I have been told that my booking call recording will be reviewed to determine if they are going to refund Taxes charged to my State Government Purchasing Card. The customer service is horrible. Reservation Desk booking agents lack integrity or honesty. Please learn from my experience: Avoid using Reservation Desk at all costs.

Found a hotel that we wanted to stay at online. I wanted to call the hotel direct because I had a room question. The number was actually for Reservationdesk.com. I asked them if they were the actual hotel. They replied Yes. LIE. They told me the hotel was actually booked but after a few clicks said oh there is a room available and gave me a rate that was acceptable. We used Affirm to pay in full. Confirmed hotel address. After driving 11 hours there was no reservation/record at the hotel we booked! Called reservationdesk.com and the rep had actually booked us in a different hotel for the better hotel rates! The bait and switch hotel was 1 star fleabag hotel so we were forced to pay for another hotel at 2am or sleep in our car for the night. Reservationdesk.com refuses to refund us blaming it on the hotel. Their rep booked us at a different hotel while making us believe we were getting booked at the hotel of our choice that we thought we were calling directly. SCAM - Never again with this co and warning others.

Made a same day reservation through this site and when we got to our hotel, there wasn't any reservation. We waited in the hotel lobby for nearly 2 hours waiting, after contacting "Reservation Desk.com" to let them know that the hotel did not have our reservation, only to still not have a reservation no matter. We ended up having to book directly through the hotel and "Reservationdesk.com" would not issue a refund for services NOT rendered. They took approximately $420 dollars of our money and we had no reservation at our hotel (yes it was the correct one) and would also not give us back our money! I would definitely encourage folks to NOT book through this website! This 3rd party is a 3rd party and has no ability to rectify any issues that may happen and will not give you your money back even if their reservation numbers do not EXIST at the hotel you thought you were booking at! It's nearly 2 weeks after our stay at this point and calling them back for help has and is still a nightmare. They can't even reach their own "Escalation Team". At the end of the day they don't care about their customers or making situations right, they only care about taking your money regardless of your circumstances and whatever they claim their cancellation policy is, even though how can you cancel a reservation that didn't exist to the hotel? They are absurd and ridiculous. They are no help at all.

I take responsibility for falling for the fact that this was not the hotel phone number as I thought it was, but at no time was I told there would be a $15.99 fee. My bad. However, they also scammed us on the "taxes" amount. It is not broken down on the email but if you stop and do the math, they added 30% taxes rather than the 18% in the location we booked. All in all it cost us an extra $44.00 over what it would have booking directly with the hotel.

They are scam! It is a trap!
They overcharge you by saying extra tax and fees but it is not written anywhere the real amount. Once you pay with the credit card it shows how much you paid which is TOO MUCH and they say no refund no cancellation... it means they got paid and they don't care about the costumer

I booked a hotel room for 2 nights in Stuart Fl.
The room was for a king bed. After booking, I received an itinerary for a room with 2 double beds. I cancelled the reservation and called them and explained what happened. I was then given a higher price than what they advertised.
I told them to forget it because of the price.
They charged my credit card an 18.99 cancellation fee. I'm going to dispute this with my credit card company, and I also have a screenshot of their pricing on the website.

Answer: It's a complete scam. What booking company takes your payment in full for the room months in advance and then you cancel months in advance and then they not refund your money! TOTAL SCAM! 110% scam!

They have terrible customer service and hung up on me when I insisted on talking to someone above the person who would not help me. Seriously! Read some script and then hung up on me. I cannot get a refund. Do NOT use this service. They scam you into believing that you are talking to a representative of the hotel. When I called them to get my money back, the so called, "Supervisor," hung up on me and would not let me speak to her supervisor. Very unprofessional conduct. I would never hang up on a customer.
