Republic Services Republic Services keeps taking my payment for the monthly regular service charge and failing to provide services that I paid for. Pick ups keep getting skipped. Drivers are falsely reporting that each pick up was completed. I reported all the missed pick ups online and on the phone. All times, Republic Services lied and said they put us on the schedule for a pick up to make up for each missed pick up. Republic services still have not refunded me as of today 9/2/23. On top of not refunding me, my bill due September 14th 2023 was increased by 28%. I called and requested my money back and requested my account to be closed on 9/1/2023. On this phone call I was told that EVEN THOUGH Republic Service NO LONGER SERVICES MY AREA, the account couldn't be officially closed until someone else from Republic Services called me in 48 hours (this makes no sense). Republic Services, it's not right to bill me and take my money for free, even though you no longer service my area. Please give me my money back and quit billing me, and close my account.
Republic missed our pick-up 3 times so far this quarter. After the third time we called and asked for compensation and was informed they would only be able to compensate for the last missed pick-up because we did not let them know when the first two happened. Why should we have to let them know they missed our pick-up? Each time they miss a pick-up, we have to spend about 30 minutes on the phone to let them know, they once again, have not done their job.

I'm literally disgusted with this company we had them from almost 2 years and it's always a bill here and a bill there in a five dollar here and a $10 they're in a $35 here literally pause our service for the summer because we would not be here and that was fine and dandy the bill was all pill paid up. They sent us another bill for $6.59 then today I got another bill for another $35. We haven't used them and two months stop trying to get money from people just because you're not doing well. Your company is poorly run and your representative Cindy has a very piss, poor attitude.
Signed up & agreed to $75/quarter. Billed $159.04 last quarter called to get bill lowered was agreed upon the. Was billed $171.92 this quarter. Called and absolutely no help and said to come pick up their can after August 25 last paid week. Told would be September 9 and if it wasn't at road they would charge $70 to pick it up! They are the worst and any agreement is not acceptable!
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with when it comes to trash services I've only lived at my house for 2 months and they've already charged me $1,000 because I had them move my dumpster to the other side of the yard because they're tires were putting such deep crevices that somebody could have tripped and broke a leg and they're still charging me for it and when they did move it they put it in front of my gate so I still had to get all my neighbors out to move it so I could leave my house worst company I've ever ever dealt with. And when I spoke to a manager to try to make it right the only thing they did was take half off that's still a lot of money for a trash service that's not making a situation right
I started working for republic services from a temp agency call express employment professionals very recently and it is one of the worst jobs I've worked the management and employees made me feel uncomfortable and it was a very hostile awkward environment everyone seemed very secretive for no reason and AB one of the bosses promised that he would get me lunch so I do my job 2hrs goes by he never came to tell me he didn't get me a damn thing and I confronted him about it because everyone else had lunch from him buying it for em but when I asked him about it he said "because you were late" like dude you could have just left me alone instead of $#*!ing with me very $#*!ty company very manipulative and abusive if anyone here's about jobs for republic services don't work there it's a waste of time their located in redmond the environment is trash the employees are trash and most likely they won't last very long as a company because they treat new people like $#*!
Republic Services Forreston Illinois is the absolute worst place to work for. Was fired for no reason by a guy whose managerial experience is McDonald's in Freeport. Then they lied to the state and said I quit. They have had drivers quit left and right, they are hiring and they fired a driver who never missed a day. Earlier in the year they fired all the driver helpers without warning. There are way better companies to work for.
From billing to bulk pickup to scheduling everything related to Republic services has broken down the company no longer provides customer service effectively or efficiently. It would seem that corporate no longer cares about regional or local sectors they are unable to accomplish their goals.
They do not pick up our yard waste. I call every day for status and they say "tomorrow". Terrible. We will have to change providers after 25 years.
They ran my debit card 3 different times in one month. When I tried to get them to pick dumpster up from location. They billed me for another 3 months. The manager on the local staff team actually told me to stop payment or I would continue to be build. After signing documents to close out the account they sent another bill two months later that I'm having to fight so it doesn't go against my credit. This company is the epitome of a nightmare! As the title says, there have been multiple events where they overcharged. Buyer beware. Record every conversation, write down every name, take video evidence.
After years of perfect payments on my part I was simply treated like trash when i became late on one payment. They do not even offer a onetime pass on the ridiculous 35 fee. Instead as a matter of fact they have now continued adding more fees even though the bill was paid. Somehow I'm up to 3 fees now even though there's not even been a new billing period... SMH And the "woman" on the call I made while inquiring about said fees was a rude snarky ignorant B. Could not have cared less about anyone else. Pathetic world we live in with garbage companies like this getting rich off of screwing people for no reason, SCAM COMPANY!
Yes I agree with you all that there service sucks... but my question is how to rid of them. And switch to another. What action can I take?
Almost EVERY WEEK we have to call and ask them to pick up our trash. It has been at the road since TUESDAY, and pick up is supposed to be on Wednesday. Well it is now FRIDAY EVENING AND STILL NO TRASH PICK UP.

Where do I begin, they have smashed the side of my trash can 5 times in 11 months, left them on the side, trash all over the street, bulk day they do not pick up the neatly placed box. Had to call and complain. Apathetic drivers who do not care about their jobs.
There has been no yard waste pickup in our subdivision for more than three weeks. My neighbors and I have made multiple calls to customer service, in some cases (including my own) escalating the complaint through several layers of management trying to obtain satisfaction. My neighbors and I have received promises that someone was owning the problem and would be following up by telephone soon but no follow-up calls have been received and the yard waste is piling up around the neighborhood. Many of us are considering legal action at this point.
If zero stars would be an option, this company deserves it! Ever since Republic Services bought Gallegos Sanitation, service reliability has gone down while price went DRAMATICALLY up! This is a company that is full of excuses. Don't call after business hours to get an explanation as to why garbage/recycling hasn't been picked up AGAIN; you can't even leave a message! Worst ever service … I truly hope the City of Fort Collins will not contract with this company; Gallegos was a GREAT company but Republic Services literally trashed that reputation in the shortest possible time! It's just sad.
It's been two weeks and a lot of phone call and Republic trash services still refuses to pick up my trash.
My trash has been sitting the curb for 2 days now. No billing issues. I called three times and they assured me they where running late. Not sure what is going on.
Answer: Only company that offered recycling in our area but obviously an over priced scam since both bins were emptied into same truck.
Answer: My guess is money laundering. I don't know what's in those Republic trucks I see driving around, but it sure isn't garbage! Also, they just don't care.
