I been using their services for 3 years, never missed a payment. Then i had a family emergency, then was late on my payment for last month, they didn't pick up my trash for a week, i called them, told them that i will pay for the services can you guys pick up my trash. Then they charged me 35.00 for to restart my services. I called a lady to talk about the 35.00 fee, she was rude! Give me a attitude. I been loyaled, but i'm gonna start looking for other companies in my area.

Bin removal fees

Your company lost the bid for the city I live in and you charge each residence $44 PER bin for removal? Are you kidding me? Absolutely ridiculous. Not only did you take the money we were supposed to get back for the remainder of our ALREADY PAID FOR quarterly bill, but you add 60 on top of that.

Previously they dropped recycling pickup to every other week without dropping price at all.

"Thank you for your business". Yea, never, never again.

I've never made a negative post about a business before but this was so over the top I felt I have too.

They are terrible!

Prices kept rising every year, level of service declined. Nothing extra is included, everything costs additional dollars, has to be scheduled well in advance, and they are just difficult to work with. They missed pickups often but never offered any rebates or discounts. Now that I finally managed to cancel service (you can only do that at the end of the month and you have to pay for the additional month) they are charging me $83 to come and pick up the cans. I can't drop them off anywhere because they have closed their facilities to customers due to COVID. And they won't wait until I can drop them off, instead they will send my bill to collections. Total B. S. DO NOT USE THEM!

Terrible company

Price for service kept going up. Nearly 300.00 every 3 months. Went with different company and now only pay 22.00 per month. Republic told me it would be 30.00 to pick up THIER containers. Then I received a bill for 83.75. I called their customer service they said that they would have someone contact me about it. NO CALL back. So I called again a few weeks later. Customer service rep. Said she did not know why I was charged and said my bill should be zero and to disregard it. So I did. I got an email yesterday that was a letter of demand and if I did not pay the 83.75 that they were going to take me to collections. I called again today and talked with another rep. She stated that I'm the notes that was sent HIGHER up denied the request and that I owed for the removal of the containers, tax and fees.
I asked to speak with someone higher up. Spoke with the supervisor he said that I owed the amount and I explained that I was only told that I was only told of the charge of the charge of 30.00 not anything of fees and tax was said and I also stated to him that is was not said to me that it was PER container.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE VERY DECEPTIVE!

This company notified me of a changed pickup date. I put my trash outside for this new date. They never showed up. I called and customer service argued with me that they didn't change my date, despite the fact I got the postcard. They 'escalated' my call and told me management would call me back. No call back. Put out the trash on the normal day - no pickup. Called again. They escalated - no call back. Told me they couldn't call dispatch, couldn't track the truck, couldn't call corporate. I've wasted hours of my time just trying to get them to do their job. I shouldn't have to chase after my garbage collector to get them to pick up my trash. I will make it my personal mission to let everyone know about the poor service until someone from corporate reaches out to me and FIXES the problem.

After years of doing business with Republic service, dealing with missed pick ups, ever increasing rates & poor customer service I choose to use a different service that was 1/3 the price. After a couple months I was sent a bill for $89 with no explanation for the charges. Now I have been sent a bogus collection notice & am disputing it. In March 2020 when my contract with Republic services was paid in full I called to end the service due to poor service & high pricing. I went with a different company at 1/3 the price. Two months later I received a bill in the mail from them that did not explain the charges. When I went online to explore why I was being charged my account was no longer valid. I called in to ask & was told it was a fee for terminating my paid in full service after many years of doing business with this company that regularly missed me on pick up day. After disputing that with their rep I was told it was a fee for picking up their own garbage can from my residence. I told them that the fee was not in our contract & that I would not pay it. I suggested they pay me for the weeks that they left their cans at my residence to store for them until it was convenient for them to retrieve them. IT IS A FEE FOR CHOOSING A BETTER SERVICE & ENDING MY BUSINESS DEALINGS WITH REPUBLIC SERVICES AFTER YEARS & WITH A CONTRACT THAT WAS PAID IN FULL. I will continue to dispute this bogus attempt to collect a fee for terminating my service.

This company is really garbage. They always over charge me for the trash can is not covered properly. I paid lock fee, and still over charge me. I called Customer service, they told me, they Manager will call me back to fix my bill. But I never receive call from him. It has been three months. Now they even not doing the pickup Service any more.

I canceled their services on April 24,2020. They did not remove their garbage and recycle containers until May 15,2020. For this, I was charged $119.35. Stay away from this heartless profit machine! What an awful company! If I could rate them zero stars I would.

COVID-19 strikes and no one can think straight. I do business with companies that bill me once a month. When the shutdown happened they reached to inquire about services continuing. This was a common sense thoughtful customer friendly thing to do. Not REPUBLIC, they didn't remove one scrap of trash from my bin but continued to bill me. They are rude and obnoxious to their customers.

The customer service rep did not want to solve my problem. I have an agreement to pickup twice a week in the AM and they show up sometimes that night and sometimes the next day. They change the pickup times for their convenience and don't care if it's a problem for the customer. I'm looking into another company.

Do not ever use Republicservices for anything. I ordered a 30 yard dumpster to clean my house out that was to be delivered last Thursday. I called Friday to see why it wasn't here and they were closed. Called today and somehow my order was cancelled yet they still took my money! I have realtors coming out to look and my house and this company dropped the ball big time. They can't even tell me a resolution for FOUR HOURS. Said they needed to look into it further. Horrible service! Horrible wait time. Horrible process for getting an answer. Can you tell I think this company is garbage... just like their line of business. #republicservices #wastemanagement #wasteoftime

Worst services

I'm presently planning to cancel my subscription with this company. They never pick up scheduled item pick ups, and still would add the additional charge on your account. They always make me leave my bulky items sitting outside on the street all week waiting for a pick up. It's been so embarrassing having items sitting outside of your house for so long.
Horrible services.

I have had Republic Services for a number of years and have had more instances than I care to remember regarding missed trash removal, today's will be my last.
I paid to have a king-size mattress and box spring removed and was told I had to wait a week when scheduling, I paid my $30 and stored the mattress until the specified removal date. This unsightly mess was not removed on the day it was scheduled and when I called that night I was told it would be removed. The next morning it was still not removed with my normal pick up so I called again and was told a supervisor would call me back. 3 hours later I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor who told me it would be an additional 3 days before this mattress could be removed.
We are still recovering from Covid-19 as a community and an old mattress on the side of the road is a health risk and makes me look like an inconsiderate neighbor. I am so very tired of dealing with the supervisors and drivers for this company.

Called 4 times to order new service and after 45 min, they picked up and put me on hold again and after another 15 min, they simply hung up. The headquarter office pick up my call but they referred me to the same people, no help there either. They suck

I cancelled their servcie and they are charging me $30 to pick up THEIR container. This place is a rip off and have plenty of fees they do not tell you about. Do your self a favor - find a service you can trust. The name will not be Republic

Run Away!

Great if you want subpar service with higher prices and hidden fees.
Missed pickup on average once a quarter
Raised rate 30% while fuel costs were falling
Charges significant fee when canceling service that they didn't disclose when asked about canceling

Buyer Beware!

I had residential Republic Services (Massachusetts) for 14 years before I finally had enough of their poor service and increasing prices. They would regularly (at least once a month) miss the pick up day and my trash would sit at the end of the driveway for 2 or 3 days. Several times a year they just wouldn't pick my trash up at all. Every quarter their bill increased a few bucks and after a while you realize you are paying much more than they quoted. And the price they 'quote' over the phone is not the price you pay. They add an 'environmental fee', and an 'administration fee' which will be a nice surprise when you get your bill. Have fun when you try to cancel them too. They charged me $51.50 to come and pick up their trash barrel! I spoke to a supervisor and tried to get the charge waived but they refused. They charged $32 to pick up their barrel and fuel recovery fees and admin fees for a total of $51.50.

Canceled Services
March 11, 2020

We have canceled services and this company continues to bill us. We FedEx'd a letter, sent emails, contacted them and spoke to someone over 10x's and still they continue to charge us. Had to close our credit card on file and dispute charges. I would stay clear of this company. We will never do business with them again and I am telling everyone I know.
