Regus has garnered a largely negative reputation among its customers, with frequent complaints about hidden fees, billing issues, and poor communication. Many reviewers express frustration over the difficulty in canceling services and the lack of responsiveness from customer support, leading to feelings of being misled and trapped in contracts. While some customers appreciate the local staff's friendliness, the overarching sentiment is one of dissatisfaction, particularly regarding management's failure to address concerns effectively. Overall, potential clients are advised to exercise caution and consider alternative coworking options that prioritize transparency and customer service.

STAY AWAY FROM REGUS, SPACES.
Our business encountered problems from the first bill.
Unauthorised charges for services we did not request, VAT charges and at the end unauthorised fourfold of our monthly rent got charged to our company Visa card (that since we had to cancel) in addition to the monthly rent. Extremely slow problem solving, constant issues with their online platform - we could not immediately end the agreement, but the year 2025 was confirmed instead in the online process. Also requested online retainer refund but it could not be done due to online form requiring IBAN details that only EU banks provide. Month on and they pretend to be solving the problem by requesting us to try again requesting the refund in their broken online system, while we are still waiting for nearly $2000 and so much time wasted.
Regus is by far, by far, the worse company I have dealt with during the COVID crisis. Most companies I dealt with ramped up there response and/or put programs in place to apply flexibility. Regus did the exact opposite. I couldn't reach them at all and they kept charging my credit card. They wouldn't let me change the payment options online. I had to call my credit card company and block Regus. The result? Debt Collection Agency demanding payment for services I can't and don't want to use. I finally got a helpdesk person on the phone. Response? Contract = contract, COVID or not. You can't get out of this and need to pay. I called the local Area Manager on her cell phone. Same answer. By far the worse company I had to deal with over the past few months. I urge anyone to NEVER get into a Regus contract.
I rented out an office at a regus location in Los Angeles. The service is nothing like they promised and they hit you with new fees every month. Whether its a "common area maintenance" or "kitchen fee" or "cleaning fee" they are not inexpensive and add up. Additionally, you must request your waiver back withing 30 days of cancelling or they start deducting from it and call it an "account maintenance fee". This place looks to nickel and dime you at every possible chance. STAY AWAY. My $400 office turned into $1.2K after the bull$#*! they pull.
Dear all
Good day to you
Kindly don't get into this daylight robbery.
We have been harassed by Regus, Rivonia, South Africa branch.
We don't get any kind of on-time response on our wrong invoices and end up we would be receiving penalties. This part of the Regus policy. Instead charging desired rent from the tenants, they lure you with an attractive rental package.
Later stages they ll make sure that you ll pay double than the offered.
We have complained more than 50 times in these 3 years and no change.
Is it a big punishment to rent an office from REGUS.
DONT EVEN THINK IN YOUR DREAM
You will regret it. They love your money and will do anything to get it. The customer service is horrible, the helpdesk requests will go unanswered for months and you will see unreasonable late fees when you've been contacting them in regards to the payments and hoping to resolve it. Extremely unethical and unprofessional.
"REGUS LACKS CUSTOMER SKILL & RETAINSHIP COZ OF POOR MANAGEMENT & BACKHAND TEAM"
Please be careful when you lease co working with regus and read/understand all points in detailed
As office what they claim we can use in other location are think tank cabin which is so small that you cant even sit for 1 hr with very depressing mode, they put condition of not using more than 10 days so lot of hidden clauses are there. Its not recommeded to go with regus and be wise to go with office where backhand team are qualified and rigid working attitude. Pls be careful if you are startup or sme.
Coz they lacks ethics and customer service skills.
Leased a co-woring space back in January. At first, they sell you the sky and all these promises. After one month we had enough. We did not get 24 hours access as mentioned. No conference rooms were available. We asked that due to this problems, that we initially was told "no problem" we decided to cancel. They gave us so much issues to reimburse our initial deposit. It tool 6 months and a conversation of us filling legal action to get our money back. This company should do a audit and review their staff and rules. Stop lying to prospective renters. Stay away. There are better options out there...
This is the first time I am ever writing a negative review for any company in my life. I thought it is important to do so in order to prevent other small businesses from committing the mistake of engaging in business with Regus. Regus customer services ranks as one of the worst I have ever experienced in my professional or personal lives. I have been charged for restoration fees even though the office was not restored at the time of my move in. I have been charged for coffee and tea on a monthly basis, even though the coffee and tea machines are not free. The furniture they provided had locks on some of them and the staff had no idea where the keys were. They will claim that the contract states these charges are non-disputable and non-refundable, however when asked to cite the exact section with those words, the reps fail to do so. The reps refuse to escalate blatant misconduct on their part to their management. The only chance of getting hold of any sort of assistance is a measly way through a website portal and even then half the time your requests will stay ignored; the other half of the time they might reply with a generic useless answer. If you are a business looking for an office to rent, please do not be fooled by the low upfront pricing, this organization is incompetent, greedy, toxic and should be stayed away from.
Regus made material misrepresentations to me when I moved into one of their offices. They also did an illegal money grab during the COVID-19. They lied to me and purposely wasted my time at a time when it was most critical. They have zero ethics. They should be a class action suit against them for what they did during the Corona virus.
This is by far the worst company I've done business with ever. They continuously charge for items over and over again. They never apologize for any mishaps. They never inform you of billing changes or remove over charges. You have to prove anything you share with them that is negative. After you prove your case, they come back with their version of the story and with no apology what so ever.
I will never return to this unprofessional, rude, ignorant, untrained organization again.
Stay far far far away...
Regus was great until around 2018. Prior to 2018, the local staff and corporate people were helpful, kind, efficient, and knowledgeable. After 2018, there seems to have been a lot of turnaround in local staff. Now, Regus is currently being run by people with neither the competence nor the ability to run a business. They routinely and consistently make errors in billing invoices, overcharge for items I have not purchased, and lose mail at times. I would not recommend Regus, but if you have no other option, be sure to micromanage everything they do, otherwise, your business will suffer, guaranteed.
It's my fault, I should have read the reviews before I allow myself to get involved and pay a painful price for my wrong decision.
Regus: worth £2.6 billion!, they make loads of money by taking advantage of pandemic and ripping off small new businesses like me. I set up my new company last Oct and rented 2 desk space at Regus Almondsbury for £454.80/month for 6 months tenancy. They will pressurise you in signing the contract 2 months before the tenancy and demanding 2 months deposit and 1 months rent straight away. Please check your invoice every month and avoid DD, as they keep adding unnecessary charges on your invoice, for example kitchen and coffee use for £48/month when I didn't sign up or use or drink coffee. Every month, I complained about it, but they still keep adding it on the invoice. When the pandemic strikes, I was on my 11th week, and had to stop working as massage therapist and therefore I cant use the room until the govt allows me too. Regus given me 50% discount for Apr and May in return, they extended my tenancy till Oct 2020. I asked Regus if they can provide more support after May, as I am still not allowed to work and, with no income and not eligible for any financial support. Regus idea of support is to further put me in debt, by offering me 2 months of discount but extending my tenancy till Apr 2021. So far, I have paid Regus for 6 months when I only used it for 11 weeks. At this rate, I will have paid Regus 10 months of rents and only managed to use the room for 11 weeks! I was told to get your deposit back, it will take 2 months. They are not making enough money, so they need to get to keep your tiny life savings for as long as they can, so they can live in their luxury lifestyle. I am pretty sure there are ethical landlords around who is not so greedy, so I will avoid this one, if you can.
Actual Rating: -100*************
Noise level is terrible. A nearby client brings a child into the office and lets them "play" in the halls. Another client works in the lounge on speaker phone. If you need any amount of quite, you should find another space. I was also charged for an extra month beyond my stay.
I rented from Regus on a month to month lease. I was told I could cancel anytime and that I would be billed two deposits 1 on the first month and 1 of I rent for 3 months or more. I cancelled after 2 months because the walls were so thin I could hear both sides of a phone conversation. Not a good thing for a budding therapy practice. I was then told that I would have to pay for the 3rd month be cause I was supposed to cancel 30 days in advance. At that point I was getting frustrated because I had already moved my things out of the office and was not accessing it nor the building. The representative only worked 2 hours a day and on the days I could speak to him about an issue he always said he didn't know or to get online. Then they added random overpriced fees to inflate my bill to $925. There was a cleaning fee for over $200. When I moved in during Covid-19 the representative wiped the desk and phone off with a sanitizing wipe and that was it. I was also present numorus times when the cleaning crew was there and all that was done was empty trash and vacuum if needed. Another charge was $320 for a second deposit for a service I have already cancelled. Also even after revoking my authorization they still charged my bank and kept my initial deposit. I have tried to speak with a human and emailed but got the run around. Customer service is non existent. I could go on and on but you get the point. Save yourself time, money and the trouble. Regus is ran by crooks I would give them zero stars if I could.
I wish I wouldve done more research and I didn't re sign, but I figured it was a fluke. Their service is terrible. Expensive for what you get. All I need is a functional printer, and hot water and soap in the break room... The latter is going on 90 days because they are "waiting for corporate" to approve the repair of the sink and water heater? CRAZY
Where do I even begin. Scam from the very beginning. My badge was not ready when told. My phone was not installed when told. When the phone was finally turned on it was not in working order & then I had to prove it to them by dialing my office number on my cell phone on speaker in the lobby for the "community manager" to hear the 'Not in Service' recording. No apology, EVER. Furniture not moved in on time due to "community manager" pulled shoulder while working out therefore he showed me the "furniture room" and I dragged my furniture into my office myself. Would not allow me to move in a file cabinet, told me I had to rent 2 more desks. I did. Told me they had to open a new account for the 2 new desks. After 3 months my 2nd account mysteriously disappeared + my payments. Past due invoices for the deleted payments for months now by a variety of people who don't talk to one another. I keep sending all of them proof of all deleted payments (Emails from Regus confirming each payment). They still say I owe them $$$ from the deleted payments. No one will tell me why my 2nd account was deleted or why my payments were deleted. I'm now going to the media with all proof of payments + all the nasty emails I've received from all of them over the past 9 months. Horrible customer service. Never have they apologized for anything.
Don't walk away RUN! I was trying hard not to write a review bc I know how it hurts a business. Regus was ok at first until here lately. Now right when I'm at the end of my 2 year term I cant sign into my account. They said I owe $1260. I dont, I took it up with the account help desk THROUGH EMAIL. ACCOUNT HELP DESK said I owe $793.00 and if I paid that my account would be reinstated. Confused about the situation, I paid the $793.2 days later I still can't get into my account. Then today REGUS COLLECTIONS calls me tell me that I owe $863? I go into my office today and the front desk say that I owe $984 after I paid the 793$. I was told that that rent had increased for July. So its June 11th I had to pay the increased rate for July plus a collections fee which still didn't add up. My account shouldn't even be in collections! She stated that my office is available to sale and she stated that my account wouldn't be reinstated until I paid the $984! I cant get through to account help desk and the community manager will not respond. RUN! RUN! RUN!
They offer very good service in the start of contract but eventually service quality declined. We can say good to average service during contract period..
If I could give Regus 0 stars on any review I would. Do NOT make the mistake to hiring this company for your office needs whether you are an individual or another company. They are fraudulent in what they charge and they really do not offer anything special, except maybe a never ending string of weird bills and secret charges that are not disclosed or invented as you go. Even their contract practices are predatory and are geared to take advantage of their customers even if they don't provide a service. I was charged for office space I could not even use due to Stay-At-Home orders during the Covid-19 pandemic. Talk about heartless and predatory! Even after that, I was still getting bills for random charges for things that I did not even consume or use, like coffee and restoration or reconditioning. Mind you that I only used their desk for maybe 2 weeks (if that) before the pandemic hit and I always brought my own coffee and never damaged anything. This place is a danger to your wallet. DO NOT go here for any office needs whether you are a company or an individual.
Answer: Scammers. Charging you for services never provided. Charging you for months (11 months in my case) AFTER you cancel the service. There is ZERO customer service. They don't pick up phone, never help, never answer hepldesk emails. That is it, they just charge you.
Answer: You can call, but they don't know what's going on and have little to no authority to fix the issue.
Answer: Hello. I had to cancel my contract within 24 hours. They keeped charging my credit card without consent. All these crazy unknown hidden fees and double charging for action. Horrible company! I should've check on this company before signing up.
Answer: I'm so sorry for your plight, read the reviews. So many people saying the same thing. You're going to be billed for an entire year. And if you don't pay up they'll try to ruin your credit. Can't believe these thieves are still in business/
Answer: Do not do business with this company. They are real scum bags. Read this thread and my post on what to do to defend yourself https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/regus.com
Answer: Laws are made for mobsters and crooks like Regus. Put up a picture of Mark Dixon and his family on wall, and curse then spit on it daily if it helps.
Answer: None! They have reiterated their bot replies on email. They are mobsters after all, no resolution can be obtained from mobsters without bloodshed.
Answer: They are based in UK. Their owner lives in Monaco to avoid UK tax. He must be paying the royalty a share and another to all political and legal crooks. Mobster tech companies from UK are much worse than Russian and Chinese crooks.
Answer: If you are looking for virtual office, try earthclassmail. They are simple and efficient. More importantly, they don't have fine print contracts.
