Regus Reviews Summary

Regus has garnered a largely negative reputation among its customers, with frequent complaints about hidden fees, billing issues, and poor communication. Many reviewers express frustration over the difficulty in canceling services and the lack of responsiveness from customer support, leading to feelings of being misled and trapped in contracts. While some customers appreciate the local staff's friendliness, the overarching sentiment is one of dissatisfaction, particularly regarding management's failure to address concerns effectively. Overall, potential clients are advised to exercise caution and consider alternative coworking options that prioritize transparency and customer service.

Scam Company
November 2, 2020

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with, they prioritise scamming and lying to their customers over looking after them!

I had a short 6 week contract with them, I didn't receive internet until 3 weeks in, then while trying to arrange some kind of discount they started piling up late payment charges.

Once I was out it took a lot of phone calls to get the extra charges credited.

My main issue is they lied to get me in the space, I asked the salesman if there would be any additional charges and he said no knowing that I would not take the space if he told me about the extra restoration fee.

I am now being asked to pay £108 on top of the £500 rent for nothing as I cleaned the space and I was there for such a short time.

So not only have I paid full price for partial service but have to pay extra! Thanks very much Regus!

Prospective customer
October 19, 2020

I am so happy that I read these reviews before committing myself. I already had horrible experience trying to get the service. The associates I spoke with keep playing games and no one is able to put me through at the Colonnade Blvd San Antonio. I had to call their headquarters and after the associate explained how the project works, I asked him to sent me an email or contract where I can read the rules and know what I am paying for before I sign. Till now no email. The manager or sales person attached to me has no time for me. She is either busy with clients, or out of office. I went in person to see the beautiful offices but she is not calling or replying to emails for follow ups. These are all red flags. I will look for office space in another platform where I will be respected and treated like a full person. It was a nightmarish experience for me.

Don't do it!
October 5, 2020

Complete scam they will keep billing you no matter how many times you cancel. I canceled 12 minutes after I signed up because it was misrepresented. I have been billed over a year and I continue to tell them they are billing me fraudulent and they continue to bill me. They are rude and incompetent it's really the worst company I've ever dealt with.

Regus charges your credit card for unauthorized charges and fails to correct its mistake. It has failed to perform its obligations under our contract, including failing to actually answer phones, failing to make its facilities available for office meetings during normal business hours, failing to be available for mail pick up, etc. REGUS HAS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Terrible customer service
September 10, 2020

I signed a lease agreement for 1 year. Terrible customer service, They never respond your email or no one picks up the calls. Horrible accounting system. They bill you on the 8th day of the month for the following months rents and they want you to pay it until 18th of same month. So you need to pay your lease 22 days before the months starts. So confusing and stupid as of business. I will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER lease from the again.

REGUS is a SCAM
August 31, 2020

Bought a professional address from them on a month to month payment agreement, i used it for a couple months for just mail forwarding. I found another service so i went to cancel there services they said i could cancel but i would owe them 6 months in advance even being on a month to month agreement. Luckily my credit card number they had on file got stolen and i got a new CC number so they couldnt charge me. I just didnt care anymore after talking with them multiple times they were insisting i pay the 6 months in advance so they could close the account i signed no long term lease so i was in the right. They kept spamming my email with payment declined, and my services were suspended mind you they would send about 20 emails in a span of a day.

So finally i get a bill from a debt collector saying i owe them around $5k for services i had with regus and they could possibly use legal action or put a negative mark on my credit report. I called the collector and i requested they send over a contract i had with regus showing the debt was valid 3 months later and still no response from the debt collector no more emails from regus or debt collector either after requesting the contract. I thought even on a month to month agreement with regus i couldnt go wrong but apparently they will try to squeeze anything extra out of ya.

Also a tip if they lock you out of your regus account just signup again with all the same info you did the first time then you will get full access to your account again.
Good Luck

I read of poor customer service and fraudulent behavior and I confirm this to be true. I purchased a virtual address and found out from an attorney that there are concerns regarding fraudulence. I immediately attempted to cancel within the hour. Two hours later, I have been given the run around with no refund.

I had a contract with Spaces, a Regus company, for open office space in New York City. When Covid hit in mid March 2020, not only was I ordered by the government not to go outside if non essential, but there were no employees at the locations in my area making it impossible to get into the offices. This small detail, however, did not stop Regus from billing me. I tried to cancel many times but emails and phone calls were never returned, and the app makes it near impossible to cancel. I finally did cancel and disputed with my credit card company the charges for services that were never rendered, and they complied. Regus has put my account with collections and they refuse to discuss anything but payment of the amount due, about 4 months total. Are they trying to fail?

You simply cannot trust them. Their policy seems to be to squeeze every bit of money from every client. In our case this included not honouring agreed terms that we have in writing. We sent lawyers letters, they just replied saying we won't change our stance. They didn't use solicitors never replied to questions, so we just walked out. They deserve to go bust, which has already happened with a chapter 11 filing in the USA. Their CEO has just been lambasted in the Times for trying to destroy businesses. Trustpilot shows that this year Regus UK has had 451 one star reviews that's 92% of all reviews in the last 12 months. Stay away from them.

Unfortunately, the high cost does not come with high service. Also, they make it impossible to STOP THE MADNESS. I have followed their instructions, written emails, filled out forms and they still tacked on an additional 9 months... I guess that's the normal incubation time whenever you get f***ed.

Once you make an agreement, it is nearly impossible to move on. No cancellation options, even when you sign up for a couple of months, they continue to auto renew for years, and charge card. They auto renew for a full year 3 months before your current agreement is completed, so if you dont catch it in time you are locked in for another full year. I submitted my request for termination 52 days before my next contract was set to start. I was told to bad pay for the year. This was suppose to be a short term solution.

Did not use the office space from start of pandemic and missed the auto renew email. Tried to cancel 1 moth prior to the actual term renewing. Sorry can't cancel and sorry can't speak with a manager so you pay additional 13 months. Have a nice day. So total 19 months payments for nothing, like who wants to work in shared/common working spaces with Covid?

Absolute inflexibility in light of effects of Covid19. Regus not only nickel-and-dimes you at every turn, but they are deceptive, and have grossly one-sided lease "terms" in their favor. They have no consideration for their clients or their staff. In terms of public relations and business model, Regus is a nightmare.

Somehow, Regus is able to edit your MyRegus.com account records to remove paid invoices, add new invoices for example in May, they made edits to March activity without notifying me and they were wrong and to their advantage- Recently, through my complaints and about six weeks of persistence, they finally cancelled my account. I had been with them four years straight this time around and had been doing business with them since 2010. A third party auditing firm needs to audit their book-keeping system. They removed paid invoices in several of my accounts over the years and replaced them with other invoices while intentionally or not- removing payments made where the only proof then lies with your bank account. Regus should not require that you use MyRegus.com for accounting if they are the only one allowed to make edits and not record the edits for your viewing. This is likely illegal and the group within the UK looking to sue Regus should pursue this angle. I would.

Initially I had one contract with Regus. I experienced the keeping of my retainer, doubled billed, and nonsense of getting that back. But, overall it was alright. So I expanded and made 2 contracts with Regus. Within 2 weeks of signing the contract, I got fraudulently charged yet again, and I learned that the sales rep who got me to sign, was a liar. He got relocated to another center, instead of being properly addressed and re-trained. He never apologized. The pandemic hit, and I have been paying for 5 months for office space I do not use to see any clients. I have canceled my personal lawncare service, my personal internet at home, and am even at a point where I am looking to sell my home. I am trying to save my business. You would think they would try to retain their client, especially one who has increased contracts with them. You would THINK they would consider the LONG TERM END GAME. Yet Regus refuses to work with me to terminate my contract early. They are literally forcing a situation where my savings are being drained, so that my business goes into bankruptcy. In such an event that they refuse to work with me, and I have to declare bankruptcy, I WILL NOT RETURN to Regus, and I will do everything in my power to make sure everyone online knows what Regus did. Regus has inhumane, unethical business practices. They are NOT for the small business owner. They are NOT for ethical, hardworking Americans. They are NOT for ethical, hardworking global citizens. They are NOT for anyone except themselves. They have no empathy, no considerations, no compassion, no care. The route they are going on, is their own road to destruction, and all those who work for them in collusion, are doing so to the detriment of their own character by stripping themselves of virtue. They are found wanting. I will be reporting this on every review site I can find, and to the Better Business bureau. And when I find a way to report this to the government, I will be reporting to the appropriate state and federal agencies.
