Redbubble Reviews Summary

Redbubble's reputation is increasingly marred by significant concerns regarding its customer service and fee structure. Many artists express frustration over high deductions from earnings and a lack of transparency in the new tier system, which they feel undermines their profitability. Customers frequently report issues with product quality, including defective items and poor print resolution, alongside unreliable shipping and inadequate support when seeking resolutions. While some users appreciate the variety and quality of certain products, the overall sentiment suggests a declining trust in the platform, prompting many to consider alternative options for their creative endeavors.

To be honest I purchased art a couple of years ago, about 2010. I purchased artwork for my office from Redbubble. I had the artwork mounted and framed. I recall how very well packaged the items were when delivered. Items were delivered in a very timely fashion. I have very unique prints that I feel make the office feel much more professional. The framing and mounting really enhance the artwork. I would highly recommend this site.

I'm in the UK
July 29, 2013

I'm in the UK. I found the Redbubble website. It offered me to buy t-shirts in UK sterling, (£), it told me delivery would be a normal sounding £4.80, what I'd expect for domestic delivery, what it didn't tell me was that it was based in US and that I would get stiffed for £11.30 customs tax and have to wait over 3 weeks. However, to be fair, they did refund my £11.30 customs tax, but told me the following:
"You can find out the origin of your items and the delivery estimates on our shipping and delivery page... As customs rules in various countries can frequently change, this can cause delays, and at times, additional charges imposed by the receiving country. While we take all reasonable steps to comply with general world shipping standards, Redbubble is not liable for any additional customs import taxes or duties."
Why would I think of searching for this information when they make it appear like the merchandise will be of UK domestic origin by not informing me otherwise? Redbubble need to take the responsibility to tell customers before checkout where they are based, giving the customer the choice whether to proceed or not, but then they'd lose custom from EU countries so of course they're not going to do that. Also, as an ex-screen printer myself, I can safely say the print quality on the Redbubble shirts isn't so impressive. So, if you are not resident in US, expect a lllooonnnggg delivery time and a customs tax bill for an average quality product.

I was really scared after reading all the bad reviews... but I thought about it for a couple weeks and really wanted my unique shirt. I ordered the shirt on a Monday at like 4pm and received my shirt Saturday. That was fast! Much faster than I was expecting according to other reviews... came from California to FL in no time at all. I am a female, petite (usually wear small or xsmall but wanted a comfy t shirt fit) and thought a small in men's wouldn't be too big. I should have went with a women's fit but whatever now I know, it's not awful but still bigger than I'd like. As for the image, I feel like it came out kind of grainy compared to how it looked online but maybe it looks different to people who are not wearing the shirt and I can notice it because it's on my body. I will def. Make another purchase from them!

I ordered a 'Man Of Steel' tee shirt for my son from Redbubble, and i have to say i am impressed with the quality of the cloth and print design.
Ok, you can buy similar designs in stores but i thought it was a nice touch that i can support an independent artist.
Delivery was a little slow, however as a U. K. resident i cannot complain too much.(which is normal in our country)
The sense of fun written into the text on this site was a refreshing change to some other websites. Made it feel more refreshing and written by a real human being.
Would i shop there again?. Of course i would!

WOW!
July 15, 2013

WOW! I am a first time customer, and HUGELY impressed. I ordered a T-shirt for my son, and tracking said it was delivered, but it didn't arrive. I did a Live Chat with Red Bubble, and even though I wasn't a long-time customer, and even though I had a small order, and even though I could have been lying, they kindly offered to send a replacement. When it turned out that the original order had been delivered to the wrong house a few blocks over, I called and told Red Bubble, and they said just keep both. This is a CLASSY and GREAT company. I will definitely be a repeat customer! (PS My son LOVES the shirt--both the fabric and the printing is top quality and it has lasted perfectly through quite a few washes!

There was a time when I thought my artistic talent is going to waste. I was looking for authentic art pieces that are not sold en masse. For some artists like me, finding a place to market their artworks can be hard. We cannot set up a gallery that easy as it will require time, effort and, of course, money. To buyers, frequenting galleries can also be daunting as it would require them to allot precious time and effort in going to-and-from the place.
With redbubble.com, both of my needs were answered. For artists, graphic designers and other creative thinkers like us, this is one place where you can simply sign-up and market our wares.
Shoppers like us would really find it a delightful thing that so many options for shopping are actually available there. You should check out this site when you have a chance. You'll enjoy it there!

This site has NO costumer service available at all. :( It's so frustrating. You can't call them, when you e-mail them, you get automatic answer with useless and unrelated suggestions :( I dot defective shirt, with part of the paint missing from the print. I am trying to contact this company for 4 days already with no results, just automated responses with promises, that someone would answer :(

I LOVE RedBubble, do not be discouraged by those pessimists, the glass is always half empty, "everything sucks, slow shipping". Truth be told, they are excellent and if you like designing stuff, consider selling here. I have ordered many things, expect slow shipping if you live in Zimbabwe.

AWFUL
June 7, 2013

AWFUL. Had to pay an extra £15 customs charge on top of the £40 I already paid for two t shirts. RIDICULOUS. There was no notice of an extra charge when buying the items which included shipping and VAT.

DO NOT USE THIS SITE
I ordered 4 t-shirts for my sons birthday over 3 weeks ago. The delivery date has expired (as has my son's birthday) & both Redbubble & DHL refuse to answer my emails. An appalling service and a VERY expensive mistake.

I tried to order a shirt. Put in my card number and it didn't match the address. So I changed it to a different address. Then it declined my card. So a couple days later I was looking at my card statement and they ended up charging me anyways. I got no notifications letting me know that the order was processed. I have no idea where the shirt is getting shipped or if it is getting shipped. I tried to contact the site but they don't have a number to call just a "live chat" that I couldn't get anyone to answer my questions. Wouldn't recommend it.

I placed two separate orders with them and neither time ( all prices were in £ sterling) did I realise shipment would be from the US. I got hit with almost £40 customs fees despite paying for postage on the site. This is dreadful for a T shirt sale as they are generally low priced items!

I hesitated before ordering from redbubble because of the many bad reviews.
Im definetly happy that i finally decided to order, so here's my positive feedback.
I bought two shirts. The stuff has been shipped after 4 days from payement, and arrived in France 16 days later.
Shirt quality is absolutely satisfating, regarding both apparel and print (i only had one coloured designs, so i dont know about coloured prints, but i expect the same quality level).
Recommended. For Europeans also.

Don't listen to all these bad reviews, i've ordered several T-shirts and while they take a bit longer than expected to arrive, the quality of both the shirt and the imprint has been amazing every time.

I am actually an artist and a seller on Redbubble, and though I've only been there a few months, the feedback on all the products I have sold has been positive. This has included Tee shirts, (they have been washed) greetings cards, postcards, canvasses, posters, iphone cases and photographic prints.

I think it is fair to say as an artist, I never just leave a company to get on with it. I always make sure I am following the trends and feedback on the sites. But from observation, sellers rarely seem to want to leave feedback or tell an artist direct that they are not happy with the product. I would much rather be told myself first, than have RB carry on selling the product. I offer my public zoomed in versions of my art that link to other art sites so the buyer has the opportunity to see the work in detail.

I am also resident in the UK. If you buy from outside the US, the chances are, will (at some point) face Customs Duty charges - this is NOT the same as shipping, so be aware that the price you pay for the product may come to a lot more.

Lastly, I have ordered my own work from the site. Much like any buyer, I assesed the quality and wasn't happy with one small detail on a particular product so pulled the work. This isn't something I can afford to do regularly, but I would advise any artist using a POD firm to do so. That way you can always be sure the buyers are receiving the best quality. I hope RB continue to serve me well, but just like any other buyer, if they don't I will seek other services.

I have just placed my 3rd order on this site, the first 2 were ordered as christmas presents so I was expecting a slower delivery than normal. This order I placed and still there is no sign of it, the tracking number fro DHL doesnt work (apparently DHL's fault), no one at the company can tell me how long it will be, and have now told me to contact them if I haven't got it by the end of the month!
I don't feel they give a damn if I get it or not.
Won't use them again
