I tried to buy a copy of Microsoft Outlook 2010 from redboxsoftware.com. This turned out to be a mistake. It appears that redboxsoftware.com is a some type of fraud / hoax. To be sure, they did take my money. The first (strong) hint that something might be wrong, was the Email with the license code. The Email didn't come from redboxsoftware.com. It was from *******@softwaremart.ca. The Email had a license key (more on that later) and download instructions. The download instructions said I would download an ISO, that I could burn onto a CD/DVD, for installation. Not true. The download was actually an EXE from a (very slow and obscure) cloud site.

The download was 499 megabytes which seemed rather high. Suspecting malware, I scanned the EXE several times. No malware (apparently) was found. Running the EXE revealed that it was a self-extracting program. After extraction I had both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of 2010 Outlook. That probably explains the size of the EXE. My machine is 64-bit, but I have other 32-bit Office programs already installed (Word 2010). As a consequence, only the 32-bit version of 2010 Outlook would install. This worked rather smoothly.

The next issue was the license code. The initial license code failed (invalid according to Microsoft). I complained and got another license code (from *******@downloadmsoffice.com). This license code was invalid as well.

My guess is that redboxsoftware.com is fraudulent enterprise. The same conclusion applies to softwaremart.ca and downloadmsoffice. My guess (and it's just a guess) is that they are (trying) to use stolen VL (Volume Licensing) keys or (illegal) license code generators. Either way, they are not selling legitimate Microsoft software with legitimate Microsoft license keys.

Don't do business with these folks.

Ordered software $30 bitdefender total security 2 year. Too good to be true. Now need to call credit card company and initiate dispute

I purchased Microsoft Office Home and Business 2016 over 34 hours ago. The only thing I received was an email confirmation of my purchase. I haven't received a product key or activation code as promised. They do not answer their phones and failed to respond to my voicemail. When I emailed them asking for a refund, the response I received was a request asking me to verify my name, address and product purchased... even though the email I sent was a direct reply to my order confirmation which clearly displayed all of that information. I wish I would have read these reviews before making a purchase. Instead I'm afraid I've lost $145 to a scam and wasted a lot of time.

Update: order #*******. I'm still waiting for the supposed refund, which I was emailed a confirmation of, but I doubt I'll ever see it. It's been 3 days since I was promised a refund but there is no sign of it actually getting refunded on my card.

I purchased last night, was sent the product key, I uploaded and was going to do a back up, I noticed another email address where mine should have been, I contacted Norton, they shadowed me and said it was a very old version of Norton 360 and more importantly it was registered to someone else, I have been waiting for over an hour on the phone and also their chat screen to no avail, I want to be refunded and no response yet, my order# *******...

Purchased msoffice 2016 yesterday, still have not received activation code, have called their number twice, after a long wait you leave a voicemail that is never returned. On top of that got an email saying even though I paid for 2016, when download begins it will download 2013 and I should take it up with Microsoft! So frustrated, what a scam!

Got a reply from their representative now, he found my order, great! Can I have the activation code now please!

I ordered the Home & Business Office 2010, I received the download and product key with in the 24 hours they said. But the product key does not work, the direction they send you state that you should activate your software over the phone to "avoid any issues with microsoft" I did the online chat and sent emails and all I got in response (if I got a response) is the same unusable product key! I would NEVER buy from this company and will NEVER do so again.

Made a purchase from this company and had a problem that I need to discuss with them. They do not answer their telephone. They do not return telephone calls. And nobody responds to their alleged live chats. Avoid them. There is zero customer contact available for this site.

As with other reviews, I received a software key that was not valid. I contacted the company, sent screenshots as requested, and was told I would get a new key. After nearly a month and several more contact attempts including stating the urgency of getting it done in a timely manner, I have not gotten any more responses or a valid key and have just gone the route of opening a dispute with my bank to get my money returned. Pretty disappointed.
