I was attempting to place an order with the chat line. Lost connection and when I called back I got another rep. I believed the order did not go through. I ordered what I wanted myself. I was out of town when orders arrived. My credit card account seemed high. Further investigation revealed I got 2 bed covers and charged for 2. I contacted service dept. and got issue taken care of where I would return 2nd bed cover.
Any future orders I will place it myself or speak with a rep. On the phone. I will NOT use the online chat rep.
The product was a good value, the service from Real Truck staff was good not great. My issue. As my truck is a diesel I was instructed to call to place my order with Real Truck staff. I walked through the year and cab style extensively with the person I spoke to. Parts arrived quickly and I began the install only to find out they shipped the wrong brackets for the running boards. I contact real truck and am told I ordered the wrong part. I explained that their employee ordered the parts based on my call to them. When they confirmed that there were like Hmmm, Ok we'll send you the new brackets at not charge. I then get an e-mail 6 hours later telling me the parts are discontinued. I call back and am told sorry, there is nothing we can do. Real truck didn't even offer any options or replacements to what I had purchased. Basically, oops, sorry there is nothing we can do.
I fabricated my own brackets to fit around the diesel DEF tank. The boards are installed and the quality is very good for what I paid. Better support would be a big plus.
I have been trying to order a bed mat from Gator on the Real Truck web-site for over a month. In speaking with an associate he could not even give me an ETA? I can't believe that Real Truck does not hold their vendors accountable for at least estimated lead time on product availability. I have spent thousands of dollars with Real Truck but moving forward my dollars will be spent elsewhere until Reak Truck gets a handle on product availability.
The representative I was texting with was very helpful. They made sure I was getting the correct product and the best price. Great experience.
While traveling away from home, we had to replace our truck. First order of business was to purchase a new bed cover to protect the items we carry in the back and RETRAX was my first choice. Called and talked to Retrax and they told me that RealTruck was their retail outlet. Transferred to a RealTruck representative, selected my cover, rails and some tie-downs and completed my purchase. The charge went through (as pending, of course) and I waited for the delivery information to be sent. A few days later, I used the link in my order email to check on the status and found my order had been cancelled.
Apparently, the billing system that they use had flagged my purchase a potential fraud. Ok, not the first time this has happened, when purchasing with a different delivery and billing address, so I called them to clear it up. Without writing a book, here is the short story: Sorry, our system has you, your email, and your credit card flagged as fraudulent. Even if we re-order, it will be cancelled. There is nothing we can do to fix this. The only way you could try again with a chance of success is to use a new email, credit card and hope the system doesn't flag it. (This was after talking to 4 different people in the ordering and fraud departments.)
This is unacceptable. I'm understanding and willing to prove I'm not trying to do something I shouldn't, but to tell me I can't even prove I'm legit AND for my credit card, email and (essentially) my identity to be flagged permanently in your system as fraudulent is NOT acceptable at all.
For this reason, I am unlikely to use RealTruck in the future. This is disappointing, because they are the retail extension of Retrax, which I absolutely love! (I'm on my third Retrax cover and have nothing but praise for the product itself.). Perhaps someone with some authority will be able to fix this situation and prevent another customer from having this experience in the future.
While trying to place my order, I added what I wanted to the cart, went through the payment process on Paypal and everything was fine. When it took me back to the website, there was 2 of each item (only wanted 1 ea) and they overcharged me. It took me several days to get this canceled. I placed a new order for what I needed on Dec 8th, 2023. I received an email that my order would be here between 12/13 - 12/18. On the 13th I received another email with estimated delivery of 12/18 - 12/25. On Dec 17th I received yet another email with delivery estimate of 12/27 - 1/1/24. Today is 1/3/24 and I still haven't received my husband's Christmas Gift. I reached out yesterday to get an ETA on it...still waiting to find out. My advice is to stay away from this company/website if you need something quickly
My experience was to say the least with customer service was the worst experience. Was on hold for four hours and transferred 6 times. Had two orders shipped and both shipments wrong items. I have since canceled the orders and will never order from Real Truck again.
Easy to install with an absolute minimum amount of tools. Took about 45 minutes with a friend helping me. Good quality but did see a few metal areas that showed tool marks that should have been filed smooth.
Had to order a part for tunnel cover. That was a couple years old. I described as best as possible what the function was, she found one that was an exact match to what I needed.
I bought floor mats for my new Maverick and the responding email said I would receive them no later than December 28. Today is January 3, and I don't have any floor mats.
I placed an order for custom seat covers on Dec 7th and their delivery estimate was Dec 13-18. No tracking by the 13th so I chatted with Joseph F. Who said I should have tracking number in next 2 days. On Dec 14th they emailed updated delivery estimate of Dec 19-25. Then on Dec 18th they emailed another updated estimate of Jan 1-4. On Dec 19th I chatted with Antoinette P. Who put in an inquiry and said someone would contact me in 1-2 days. Nobody ever did. On Dec 26th I chatted with James F. Who couldn't explain the delay. I got an email from the Mfg saying the seat covers are custom, not stocked and so they take longer. I would think RealTruck should know that and not give me a totally inaccurate estimate just to get the sale. I finally got them on Jan 2nd, a little late for Christmas!
I was not told at the time my order was placed that it would take 6-8 weeks to receive my item...I still have NOT received it and no one can give me even a guesstimate on when I will receive it- that's not good customer service.
I got my bed cover in 2 days by Federal Express. Order placement was fast and easy online.
I was given the wrong tracking number and wrong transportation company. I didn't think the cover would arrive before X-mas. To mt surprise it did.
This is a good value. The installation was easy. Instructions could be better. I was replacing so I was able to use existing brackets. The hardest part was removing the old bars.
The cover I purchased installed easily, fit perfectly and does everything as advertised. Reasonably priced, we'll see how it holds up long term but it appears to be well built. Purchased, shipped and received quickly and easily online. Would definitely recommend.
