The new app is so terrible that I think it may be a conspiracy to require people to rely more heavily on their realtors.
There is no way that the management of Realtor.com ever tried it on a real computer. I'm guessing the developers gave a PowerPoint presentation and the suits all gave approval without ever trying it. There is no excuse in 2016 for a website to lockup Internet Explorer. While looking for a $500K house the site to forever to do searches and locked up several times. It all seems to be related to the third party advertisements. I don't want to buy f**king shoes (one ad was for shoes) I want to find a $500K house you idiots! You lost my commission. Hope the site causes them many lost sales.
Used your old app for years and it was great. What did you do? It's impossible to use the new app. Even going to the website instead is horrible. You should stop wasting money on your commercials and fix your app and website.
I used the old site DAILY. The new is completely unusable. You can't even search by zip code anymore and there are less filters. I am deleting the app. Very disappointing!
I find this site to have more errors in it's listings then other websites or the actual realtor themselves. I have missed many good deals all because of wrong information provided in this site
The old app worked and worked well, you've now broken something that worked. Now looking for a home is becoming fruitless on your app. Is it an interface issue with iPhones? My bf can use it okay on his Samsung, but the app on my phone doesn't have the same options. Very frustrating
What on earth were you thinking? This app is now completely useless! I see no reason the old one was changed, but if there was a reason... it was obviously to take away all options your users had. Completely frustrating!... This app required me to give you a star to submit! -1
The old app didn't need any changes. The new app is unusable! One cannot search for available homes in a specific town anymore. The filters are missing. The app can't seem follow the parameters and spits out random listings. Get rid of the new app and put it back, to the way it was
Waste of money... don't do it. You will be locked into a contract. Customer service agents are nice, however, no results are no results. I have 6+ listings at all time... haven't gotten one inquiry ever... been on for months. Take the money and buy tangible marketing materials (i. E. postcards, take a prospect to lunch, send a thank you gift to past clients.)
I literally found exactly what I wanted with the old app in 5 minutes and bought the house within a week.
The new update is horrible. I have to go on google or Zillow to find out about any properties I'm interested in now.
The new app is completely UNfriendly, UNusable and frustrating! Terrible! Get over your pride and bring the old one back., or don't and see us all leave.
I do not understand why there was a Ned to change this app. Limited filters and today I find even less. No map today. When there is a map it is not as robust. Before I could zoom in on a property to see how the house sat on the lot. I could move the map around to see nearby towns and lakes etc. The whole thing is very cumbersome to use. As an investor I go to Zillow to get more info now and I don't like Zillow. Please pull this code and reinstall the code from 2 months ago. This is killing your reputation.
As a realtor who just signed on for inquiries to be sent to me@ over $50 each, I am now seeing how Realtor.com has consumers fleeing to competitor sites because their search app is unusable! Given the number of complaints saying the same thing, why is that company not ditching the bad software? Instead, their advertisers and consumers are having to ditch. Who runs these businesses that are so stubborn they don't listen to repeated feedback? Self-sabatoging Corporations?
Update August 2016 --I have been caught in the back and forth disputing the charges. The arrangement I made with my rep Eltrya was for a one-time payment of $1290, for Exclusive Leads at 4x/monthly. Instead, I have been receiving varying charges of $180 to now $215 monthly--having to continuously dispute these. After receiving 2 leads over the last 2 months (the first being a $90k mobile home when avg sales price is low $200ks), and conflicting responses from customer service, I saw the writing on the wall and I cancelled. One email from the company stated the first lead was not exclusive, followed by other reps stating it was?! I liked doing business with them before all the changes that have occurred. Disappointing, since I was hoping to continue having a good arrangement like I did in past years.
The old version of the app was so much easier to navigate, I hate this new version. There is hardly any filters, and it's just a pain to use now. Guess I'll be using Zillow from now on.
It is so difficult to use and sort to find what you want that I gave up on the app for my house hunt. Hello, Redfin! Bummer as old version of app was great. Big mistake on upgrade.
I used to use this app all the time. I am in the process of looking for a house and am more of a DIY buyer. I hate this new app! Why?
It has gremlins in the code. I do all my filtering and it comes back with a reasonable list that looks right, say 47 homes that match. So I start to click on one and see that it really is not for me, in the mean time it reloads and I end up with 480 or so.
It is totally unpredictable when it will happen but it is a lot.
Also used to ride around and see a house for sale. I would turn it on and it would find That house automatically. Not anymore.
My realtor and many others told me this site is better than Zillow... it used to be because it was more accurate. Now it is simply unusable.
The new format is so not user friendly... the Gallery listing was much easier to navigate. This is extremely difficult to maneuver. BOO...
My real estate agent cringed every time I mentioned using Zillow.com. So in order to appease the evil looks I started using realtor.com. What a piece of garbage. They must have outsourced the coding to India. So what are the problems you ask?
1. The pages take forever to load the content. The are so concerned that they make sure that the select the correct ads for display that it takes forever for the algorithm so complete the selection process and THEN you have to wait for literally 15-20 seconds for the content to be downloaded. By that time even grandma has hit the search button a couple of times.
2. once you select a property from your list you go through the same thing with the ads and you screen locks up causing you to have to restart your browser and go to Zillow where you should have been looking in the first place
Good Luck with getting people to move to realtor.com
As I'm sure you know by now, your new app is literally unusable. It's not like it's just a little buggy or slow or something irritating. I mean, it literally is not usable. No searches work. The filters produce wrong results. Sure, your commercials are great, but you product is unusable. I deleted it completely. Bad move, folks.
Answer: Don't do it! Total scam. They don't allow you to cancel, and don't deliver what they promise. I've wasted $1500 and they want to stick me for another $4500! I signed up for an area with $800k average, but ALL of the leads are for $50 mobile homes. COMPLETE SCAM!
Answer: You can file a claim with the BBB. I am in the process of looking for an attorney. Small claims court is always an option.
Answer: Just be sure you are dealing with a realtor. Do not send any money to anybody at a moneygram account. Just make sure it is a realtor you are working with. Because there are scams out there that ask you to send money pretend to be owner etc. you can always ask for license number and go to trec website and check to see if number is real. Hope that helps.
Answer: I hope that if enough of us post about Realtor.com scamming, defrauding our industry we can stop them, scammed myself, never again, worst customer service I have ever encountered.
