After reading all the other reviews I will NEVER be back to this website! My issue is with the actual website itself though. We are looking to buy a house within so many miles of my husband's job. It doesn't actually matter where the house is as long as it's within the specified miles of his work. You HAVE to put in a city, county, etc. I want to look at a map of the entire state and zoom into the area we are looking in since it crosses multiple cities, counties, etc. The site is overall hard to navigate and there is a lot of information they don't update at all, let alone when the changes actually happen. I would have given this site -10 stars but the lowest is 1 so...
As a new lender I purchased a lead package from Realtor. These are shared leads so every person gets bombarded with calls. Most of mine come in with poor credit scores and I am pretty sure that quicken gets them before everyone else, because when I call and actually get through, they are always talking to quicken already. HUGE waste of money.
This is my third attempt to try and cancel this account. My account was initially set up by Rory Bennings over the phone and we discussed several different zip codes and I decided on *******. Which is where my office is located in Duluth, GA. After one month I had still not received any leads (I paid for 0 leads) but when The first one came through, I realized it was in DECATUR. I brought this up several times and could not get in touch with Rory to explain his mistake... in fact I couldnt get in touch with anyone. I have not been able to work these leads as they are out of my scope of business and most of them are bogus leads anyway. Since then I have not been assisted in correcting this huge issue and the few people I have spoken to are RUDE, extremely unprofessional, and seem to have absolutely no problem with taking my money every month for a flawed service that I do not want.
What's most frustrating about realtor.com is that it seems to waver between working pretty well and having major issues. One issue on their website today, ironically, is that the feedback link doesn't work. But the more important thing that's bugging me right now is that I keep entering notes for saved properties - and, yes, I'm clicking the 'save' button for each - then when I log out and log back in later they're gone or have reverted to an earlier version of the note I had. This has happened about three times this week. I've been using this website for probably 15 years and this is a new thing. I don't know if it's a syncing problem or what, but it shouldn't happen. There's always some new frustration. The prior one was when all my saved properties got deleted. That time, the feedback button worked. I was told they had some software issue and eventually I got all my saved properties back. I've also deleted a number of saved properties only to continue to be told that I was at the max. This shouldn't be that hard. If they'd just stick to a design that works rather than continuing to change features all the time, I think they'd have happier customers.
I met Judy through a neighbor. Judy was selling their home and sold it within a WEEK! I was so impressed and I knew that with those kind of results that Judy was the realtor we needed to get the job done. She was friendly, persistent, honest and a real go getter. She did a great job following up with me while we prepared to get our house on the market and when we finally did, we were under contract in less than 3 days. She was there every step of the way. I would recommend her to anyone that was looking for a GREAT realtor. Look no further, Judy Horvath is the BEST!
I saw a listing for a home I was seriously considering contacted my agent, got in my car in South Florida, nearing Chattanooga only to receive a call from my agent saying a contract was already on the house even before I saw the listing. MARK PENDING ON SUCH LISTINGS!
This site manipulates data. To the benefit of even down to one agent by falsely reporting a valuation with no data but with an agent's opinion which is biased, and unprofessional, as they are not appraisers.
When confronted, Realtor.com says they do not guarantee the value or they'll say its not to be used for appraisal. They'll publish and lowball the number, but the buyers take it as gospel. This gives the area agent an upper hand and can also lead to area realtors artificially controlling prices, to a buyer's agent advantage.
Realtor.com is more than happy to publish false numbers but won't stand behind them. Zillow was likewise accused by an Illinois real estate attorney of this, but the case was thrown out by a Liberal judge.
The end victim is the seller, and maybe the buyer in the opposite scenario. Realtor.com is controlled by Newscorp, one of the largest media groups worldwide.
The Sherman Antitrust Act is at play here and this would not be the first time a group of realtors, supported by Realtor.com were cited by the Federal Govt.
However the federal govt SHOULD do a complete review of Realtor.com practices and how this ties into the National $#*!'n of Realtors.
Who by the way, is one of the biggest lobby groups in Congress.
One hand washes the other.
Realtor.com is a scam. They not only list properties and sell leads. If your agent list your property on their site they actually will post your taxes on property 50% higher or more than the actual documented tax bill. Falsely rating the cost to buy monthly to the Consumer. Fortunately I caught it. Not my agent. And I will be exposing this fraud. My tax bill is 3400. 00 per year. They post it to the site at 6000. 00.
They are not ethical. And it is an actual federal law. To mislead through advertising when there is available legal documentation proving actual costs, that contradicts your deceptive claims, that serves to control values of the market is NOT LEGAL.
Not only have the leads been a waste of time, the majority of them looking to rent rather than buy, when I have tried to cancel my subscription realtor.com keeps changing the end date of the subscription and then sends me an email every month asking if I want to continue, I always reply NO, and they still charge my credit card. I finally had to get my credit card to refund the most recent charges and block realtor.com for the next 15 months.
I've sent countless emails to the account rep who signed me up and left him voicemail messages which have never been returned.
Does anyone know how I can join the Class Action suit?
I have been with Realtor.com for over 3 years. They send me all junk leads and the same ones over and over again. I call and ask them who do you send the nice houses to. They tell me it's random and everybody gets a turn. I stopped most of my zip codes because I wasn't getting anywhere with the leads they sent, I was just giving them my money. The problem is they have me over a barrel - I don't know where else I can get leads. So I signed up and purchased more zip codes and will probably be very disappointed again.
Very frustrating
Outdated listings. Listing brokers dont know why still online. Brokers listing is very good price just to get leeds. When you send an e mail they will answer you fast just to set you up with a broker of their choice and to get information about you while they suggest another listing because it was removed from their system.
Using this website to look for homes is more aggravating than worth. Filter in your criteria and bring up a house only to go back to list that the filter has been erased and your back to the beginning. With so many advertisements it's just very slow to get through the pictures. Just so bad can't believe this is the best option to search for homes.
They have no record of what we being billed or no record of what zipcodes we are being assigned for us to review online. Customer supports take days or weeks to respond. All garbage leads shared between multiple realtors, does not work out at all. While you pay close to 1000 a month.
My husband and I have bought and sold close to 20 homes in our life time. Bill & Judy McKnelly far outshine any other realtors we have ever worked with. They not only made sure the paperwork was done correctly, we closed early! They followed up on every request, arranged for and met workmen at the house to make necessary repairs and always made me feel taken care of. Thank you!
Had a realtor named Billy Jo Salkowski, very unprofessional and practices illegal activities. She will con you in many ways and provide you with fake invoices. Buyers and Renters beware of Billy Jo. She works for Remax Achiever's in Collegeville, Pa.
Don't ever let realtor.com sign you up with any their "lead" program without a signed authorization form. They sent you an email as their contract. Whether you agree to or receive the email, your credit card is hijacked.
Their customer service is terrible. Don't expect any quick response from them. Usually one or two weeks before hearing back from them. At the mean time, you are still paying the service you have never asked for.
Stay away from this company! Very low or no good leads!
Do not use Realtor.com THE WORST. The "leads" are going to all agents involved, not on a rotation basis.
Can not get response for weeks...
Will contact Federal trade Commission sending leads in non real estate mobile homes ( leased land) also contacted *******@realtor.org. National Association of Realtor liaison. I have had same experience as everyone here
The sample is too weak. I'm getting dozens of calls, but most of them just don't work out. I have a feeling things they've been spounging money from everywhere.
Not happy at all with the service... Two weeks to cancell, will report to State of Florida and Broward County Board of Realtors.
Answer: Don't do it! Total scam. They don't allow you to cancel, and don't deliver what they promise. I've wasted $1500 and they want to stick me for another $4500! I signed up for an area with $800k average, but ALL of the leads are for $50 mobile homes. COMPLETE SCAM!
Answer: You can file a claim with the BBB. I am in the process of looking for an attorney. Small claims court is always an option.
Answer: Just be sure you are dealing with a realtor. Do not send any money to anybody at a moneygram account. Just make sure it is a realtor you are working with. Because there are scams out there that ask you to send money pretend to be owner etc. you can always ask for license number and go to trec website and check to see if number is real. Hope that helps.
Answer: I hope that if enough of us post about Realtor.com scamming, defrauding our industry we can stop them, scammed myself, never again, worst customer service I have ever encountered.
