The Gladiator grill adapters are not very strong. Because they are plastic with a split in the housing and because it is a friction fit, they break easily. One of mine broke with very little force being applied. Once they break your screwed. Had to super glue mine, hope it holds up. These adapters should be aluminum or a stronger composite.
