Advertised as a free QR code generator but codes are disabled after the "free trial period". I have already printed and delivered my invitations and am forced to pay $120 to keep them relevant. This website is a scam.
It is not at all obvious that the QR-code created through this service will stop working in 2 weeks and you will have to pay almost 100 euros for a year!
Repeatedly trying to charge my card > Zero customer service > no human to speak with > lots of folks having the same issues if you check their FB page... where you can not message them there either. Con artists screwing people over. POS company.
This is a crap website so they give you a free trial and generate a code for you then after 14 days when you've printed this on marketing materials they want $120/year billed at once for your QR code smh what a pathetic business model take advantage of people and way overcharge them what a joke!
Why even allow someone to create AND copy the QR without a popup notice saying you need to subscribe! What a SCAM! I ordered 100 calendar magnets and was frantic on the phone with my vendors customer service because of art design issues. I originally created my QR with my PAID subscription to Canva and I thought maybe it was something to do with the QR code, so I Googled quickly to create another QR code and email them the new design while on the phone. It should've been a clue when the newly created code was a random shortened url instead of my personal url. Needless to say, I received an email 3 days after receiving my magnet order that the QR had expired. I REFUSE to give this company my money so I reordered the magnets with my improved "original" design with my Canva created QR code. It was still cheaper than paying these jerks $120, by $30! Including expedited shipping!
This company LIES to you. They don't tell you that you are on a trial, turn off your QR codes and hold them ransom, only offer an annual plan even though they have websites that CLAIM they offer monthly pricing, and LIE that you can pay via payment plan only to charge you for a full year – and offer ZERO refunds. Don't waste your money on a company that STEALS your money when you can get the same thing without spending a dime.
I didnt know i was even using a free trial - I then had to sign up so I chose the option that said £8 annually, and was immediately charged £100 from my account. The only option to get this refunded was to use a useless chat bot and nothing has happened. This should be illegal - don't use these scammers please!
Never trust a company that has no telephone number or email address. There so called FREE Static QR code suddenly stopped work with an error message. Turns out the code is NOT free but part of a 14 day trial. Something NOT mentioned in their actual webpage https://www.qr-code-generator.com/.
And with absolutely no way of contacting them, I was left with no other choice but to throw away all my business cards, pamphlets and other company stationaries and redo them another company.
I hope everyone avoids this company!
Really just one free QR code, after that insanely expensive monthly plan needed to keep even few working
Advertised as free - tricks the user into signing up for a "dynamic" code without stating that it will vaporize in 14 days unless $200 is paid as ransom. Additionally that will auto renew each year. Nothing about this company seems legit.
They ask 96 € minimum, but on the google ads, they says they are totally free. Please avoid this website and go to the concurrence like adobe
I made 500 business card with a QR code which would let my customers easily add me to their adress book. Now, al of a sudden, I received an email to 'remind' me that my free trial is ending. I never ever have been informed that i was working with a paid service and that i was using a free trial. I came to their website by googling free qr code service. I googled again to check and i see that they advertise themselves as a free service. This is a dirty scam and they know very well what they're doing. No way i am going to give them a dime. I will just buy new business cards and throw these in the trash. I will not reward this company for scamming their customers
Made me lost 72 bucks NEVER USE THIS its only for 14 days, and if you are going to pay you need to pay per year they dont have a monthly option. I'm not in USA but if I was I would be suing this company.
I used their QR generator which said it was free, after only 2 weeks they email as apparently my 'free' trial was running out and I now needed to pay a subscription, it turns out I created a dynamic code which was charged for rather than a free forever static code BUT I WAS NOT GIVEN A CHOICE. Dodgy practice. Used another site to get a free code which does not expire!
QR services are for easily to find for free. This company makes you think it is free as well and will remind you later that you need to pay 100$ a year for it to remain scannable. I had no choice to pay as I printed 1000 brochures with the QR Code.
QR generators are free and easily to find, Dont use this company.
I never felt scammed like this before and will not use any Bitly related service the rest of my life.
I had used QR Code-generator in the past and recently created a QR code to be printed in a charity gala program. After the program was printed I visited the QR code to check to see it was still working to find that it led to an error page. When I logged into my account it said my code had expired because my 14-day trial had ended. At no point during setting up the code did it say it was a trial. Then I looked to see if I could reactivate it by paying only to find out it would cost $120 since they don't offer a monthly plan. Now our gala programs will have broken QR codes in them because as a small charity we can't afford to pay $120 for a single code to be used for one night. Absolute garbage company for the bait and switch.
I signed up for a free trial assuming that the QR code would still be good when the trial ended. It is not! When you use this service, the QR code directs you to a proprietary page, then onto the page you want. Once the trial expires you will not be able to use the QR code, your customers will be directed to a service page. This is a horrible free trial.
Scammers luring people in for 'FREE' QR code - made 200 business card and found out it was inactivated. THIS IS COMPLETELY FALSE ADVERTISING. Show's how money hungry and selfish some people are.
Used QR for wedding registry during free trial and now they have shut it down because the free trial ended. Now I have to pay $120 just to reactivate it. Use any other QR code generator. Avoid this one
THE OLD BAIT AND SWITCH - DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME -
They will lure you in with the free trial under the pretense that you will have the option to a free plan. I printed cards with the code and sent out to clients, now they will not allow me to have a free plan and use the code, even if i select the most basic QR code (which was what i wanted anyways). NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT AT ALL, you will be chatting with a bot for anything you need, customer sercvice phone number is not operable, you only have a chance to leave a voicemail (which never gets returns).

Answer: They responded to my inquiry after going through the "AI" assistant on their website by basically telling me to pay MORE money. So, there's that.

Answer: You have to go through their AI assistant to create a ticket. Really awful "AI" too, basically can't answer anything.
