I splurged and bought the puregear tempered glass for i-Phone 11 WITH LIFETIME WARRANTY. The sales rep convinced me when he said lifetime replacement of the tempered glass if it breaks and up to $100 if the phone itself cracks - sounds great right? Until you try to get the replacement. Puregear then wants to charge you an additional $11.95 for shipping and handling. Well - had I known that was the case I never would have bought the more expensive tempered glass. I would simply replace the tempered glass at a store with the lesser priced product.
I also purchased an i-phone charging wire which stopped working after 5 months. Again, they want shipping and handling. I purchased the more expensive products to avoid such a situation. I sent three emails to customer service and not one reply - but when I did a live chat - she actually knew and saw my emails - but no one had the courtesy to reply to my email?! Puregear's customer service needs to think outside the box and try to make their customers happy, although I don't think they know how. I will never purchase one of their products again and neither should you. There are plenty of other choices/alternatives.
I bought the screen protector along side buying my phone, over a month later I dropped it on my bed and it cracked, I wasted 60 bucks on it. I searched up the name for the protector and found a lot of bad reviews on it. So Don't buy it.
I bought their phone cover 3 months ago and it jus cracked from the side. I was told by someone that it comes with the warranty and you can return the defected item and get new one when i went on the website i saw that theres charging $15 for handling and shipping charges like seriously! You can get a new cover for like $20 and for a claim they are charging this much amound. How pathetic! Never ever buy from this company!
My wife and I purchased these screen protectors at our Sprint retailer when we got our new phones. When I read the instructions on the packaging it stated we did not need to register our product and to simply reach out to them for a warranty claim within one year of purchase.
My wife's phone screen cracked and I reached out to customer support. I was quickly told that if I did not register my product that there was nothing they could to help me. As I was formulating my response and feedback for their customer service department my chat window was "closed due to inactivity". That was infuriating. It deleted my entire message and I was not able to recover it.
If you happen to buy this product, search for the web site in TINY TINY font and do everything you can to register your protector IMMEDIATELY.
Terrible customer service. Quality of screen protector is mildly better than one purchased on amazon for $7.00. The ONLY reason we bought these was because our Sprint store had a deal for activation credit if we purchased them.
I recommend avoiding this company. Spend your money elsewhere.
My phone isn't listed as a product for screen replacement so the quick online form is useless to me. I emailed 10 days ago with no reply.
During this time I ordered a replacement screen for my daughter with another company and have already received it- at 1/3 of the S&H price too!
For one of the most expensive screen protectors on the market, I expect much more.
When Verizon sold them to me for 50 bucks each they didn't tell me I had to go back to pure gear and fill out a bull$#*! form to get new screen protectors then they charged me $22 to ship them because they wouldn't ship them both together had to pack them individually whole deal is a rip-off stay away from them.
So I purchased a Pure Gear screen protector on 11. 3. 2020 - today is 1. 12. 2021 - after this short time there is a huge chip in the side of the screen protector. Customer service is horrible! I was told on three occasions that the claim did not exist, they could not find my on line claim even though I had a ticket #. Long story short Pure Gear expected me to pay for shipping and handling on a product that has a life long warranty. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM PURE GEAR - their "life time warranty" and product is Pure Garbage!
Don't waste your money. I purchased a puregear screen protector for $50 when I got my new phone at the Verizon store. Within a week one of the corners started coming away from the phone. I went back to Verizon and they were out of stock and told me to come back when they were in stock... or I could contact the manufacturer for a replacement. I contacted Puregear for the replacement and they wanted $12 for shipping. I decided to wait. I've been back to Verizon twice and they are still out of stock. By my third visit Verizon says I have to get the replacement from the manufacturer. In the meantime the screen protector has come away further and one of the edges has chipped... I can only imagine that happened when it was in my purse. If the screen protector cannot withstand my purse what is the point of having it. And to pay $12 more based on my exor a piece of crap Why would I pay $12 more for another piece of crap
After the first week of having one of their $50 screen protectors on my phone I noticed there were a few cracks. (and I'm a sure I never dropped it) Then find out their warranty is total bull$#*!. Honestly Walmart's screen protectors are better and definitely way cheaper.
The liquid and the glass one are pure garbage. The don't do what they claim. Dropped my phone once & the face shattered.
The company states they have a pure pledge guarantee on their products but when you try to collect they don't honor the warranty. My phone screen cracked with their protector on it. I had it repaired and they required me to submit pics of before snd after sling with a receipt then denied it saying that the guarantee didn't cover the screen. So what's the point of the guarantee.
The lifetime "warranty" process is a joke. Don't waste your time - so convoluted and complex so as to discourage from exercising the warranty. And, they charge $11.95 for replacement glass. If you use their discount code for new, comes out to about the same price. This review is all I can do with my impotent rage and the only power we have as customers is to collectively buy elsewhere. Their business practice is some of why everyone has good reason to be so cynical these days.
My wife and I bought 2 screen protectors for our new phones we'd just gotten from freedom mobile in meadowvale, mississauga, ON Canada. These screen protectors from pure. Gear costed $40 which is really expensive for something such a horrible quality. The screen protectors broke multiple times in less than half a week after buying them.
Screen protector cracked after sliding out of my pocket sitting in car. The phone slid down less than a foot and cracked the protector.
Screen pops off and holds debris along the edges. Will be going back to liquid screen protector. Not recommended!
It works and you can access it remotely as advertised but it is not a hotspot for they lied about that feature and it cant be done according to my providers tech support. But it does have remote access and you can get messages about the state of your vehicle from anywhere as they advertised. BUT THAT HOTSPOT LIE IS JUST A LIE
I bought a Puregear charging cable at a Verizon store for $24.99 plus tax. The clerk said it had a "Lifetime Warranty." A few weeks later it stopped working and l went back to the store. The clerk said l had to file a claim online. When l went to the Puregear website, l saw that they charge a $11.95 fee to file a warranty claim. There is also a long and complicated form to fill out, which, plus the fee, would discourage anyone from continuing.
Even worse, l went to the lnternet and found that there were other sellers who were charging $4.50 for the identical Puregear charging cable, with free shipping. I bought two Puregear cables online, for $9.00, which have already arrived.
It's absurd that Verizon charges $24.99 for this item, made in China, and Puregear charges another $11.95 to replace it, when the exact same item can be bought online for a fraction of the price, with the added convenience of having it delivered to your home.
My charger, sparks flying everywhere in melted my charger and tripped the breaker could have caught fire, a very dangerous charger, should pull of the market
Bought thru bell, screen protector with lifetime waranty. It cost 40$. Lasted 2 months; started to peel and cracked throughout. It was handled the same way as my previous phone that had a different product applied, and lasted over 3 years. The lifetime waranty cost me 32$ for shipping and handling a 'free' replacement!? When this one goes, ill get something else.
Id give them no star, zero, zilch, nadda.
It has been since june and here it is sept 15,2020 and have not recieved my screen protector. Company uses covid as an excuse, but most online companies were still open and managed to work it out fast.
Obviously this is an upper management problem. Tell your phone company that you refuse to use puregear for any claims and need to fix it with another insurance or pay you to fix or buy a screen saver.
3mths and still have not recieved the creeb saver. Wow... not even a message in three mths. Finally emailed me after 3 dam mths im just $#*!ing pissed off at this sorry company..
Answer: No product received no way to connect them. PAId FOR SHIPPING ALSO
Answer: SCREEN PROTECTOR CRACKED. THEY IGNORE ME, I CANNOT GET REPLACED. TRYING FOR OVER 6 MONTHS. WARRANTY EXPIRES FEB. 2020. I WILL NEVER BUY PRODUCTS FROM PUREGEAR.
Answer: It won't be. I hope you didn't pay the shipping fee because you won't see that either. Consider forgetting about it or possibly editing your review to reflect your current situation with their customer service. Consider also putting pressure on the place where you bought it to stop supporting an expensive product that doesn't do what it's being used for.
Answer: PureGear does not honor defect products and ignores submitted warranties. NO REPLACEMENT, ON RESPONSE. PureGear does not answer telephone number 1-877-570-4327 AFTER HUNDREDS OF PHONE CALLS. RINGS ONCE AND HANGS UP. ANYONE SELLING THEIR PRODUCTS IS IN COLLUSION WITH PUREGEAR.
