I had sold my home in Mesa, AZ and the truck was on the way to deliver my belongings, so I had to find a storage unit pronto. I was in Boca Raton visiting and came upon Public Storage facility at ******* 81st Way S. I was greeted by Emmy and Jesula. They are both very professional, pleasant and easy to deal with. They answered all my questions & so I immediately signed. Emmy and Jesula a good team!
I put my request in online for the type of unit I needed and I was sending my request, the phone rang and it was Wendy, telling me she had received my request and that I could come in before closing and she would take care of me and she did. Wendy was very knowledgeable, helpful and informative. She made the paper work process simple and easy to understand. By the time we reached my unit, there wasn't a question left for me to ask. Wendy had fully explained everything. She called a few days later to inquire if I was happy and if I had any questions. I did not.
I have been with public storage for several years located on bernice road in lansing, illinois.
Over the time i have been a tenant there i've enjoyed going in chatting with Toni and she print out my receipt. Toni is a great lovely always smiling young lady. I always leave with a smile and many laughs. Mrs. Jackson

After a recent snow fall the plowing company half buried my small travel trailer. I stopped in the office to report that I couldn't get to the trailer and Heather made a note on my file and contacted the removal company. They came out the next day and completely cleared the trailer. Many thanks to the local staff especially Heather and their great attitude.

My name Cheryl Burchell and I wanted to take the time to write a review on the wonderful customer service experience i had at property#*******. I was going through a rough time, i just lost my home and my mom in the same week. I was looking for a storage and i happen to stop by this property and i met the most awesome representative ASHLEA. She was so attentive, she listens to my problems and delivered wonderful service as well. She made sure that I had the best rate and each time I go to make my monthly payments she always checking for a better rate for me... that's what I call going above and beyond for the customers. This young lady is always so pleasant with a big smile, I personally believe that she deserve two raise. Please take the time to recognize her as she is very valuable to your company.

I was told that my rate wouldn't increase for a year. After 5 months, I was informed that my rate would be increased 20% on my next due date. I called and asked the general question of the management once again to confirm what I was told upon renting the unit. I was told the same thing again; yearly.
I called customer service and they apologized for me being misinformed two times. I was told by customer service that it can go up anytime but usually by month 5.
They rent month to month so they can do as they wish. Well, that's great because with all this snow, it is going to be difficult moving. I think they are taking advantage of that situation for many people. Imagine if I stayed with them for 2 years and my rent could increase 20% every 5 months, I will be paying as much as $248 per month within 2 years. Keep in mind, I'm not taking into consideration that the next increase could be more than 20%.
So, don't let that first month's free rent fool you, they will be getting it back from you many times over. 20% is a HUGE increase on a storage unit.

Answer: They will find a way to charge you for anything. And they will charge fees in which they will take you to collections for. They are a really greedy company
