The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. This feedback indicates a critical need for improved transparency and customer support practices.

I ordered the air ticket this summer. When I purchsed the ticket, the website said you cann't go throught to buy the ticket, so I went to other place to buy the ticket. However, When I started to travel to the place, I got the email from the Priceline.com, which showed that you had airplane ticket from SF to LA. Therefore, I called the Priceline Ticket Department. They said we cann't refund the money and you had to change other schedule. Actually, it's not my fault why I paid.
I cannot say it is better than others. Atleast it is good. Price list of London's hotels are very high.
For my business meeting at New Jersey, I took travel and hotel reservation service from Priceline. I got best possible services on very reasonable price.
If you have limited travel budget, priceline is definitely a great lottery site to get good hotels at cheap price. I've used it few times, and so far so good. Definitely recommend use both priceline and hotwire to get the best bargain.
Priceline is too much pricey. Rate and quality of hotels do not match. I would recommend everyone once try to hire hotel reservation by their own self. Then you could know the rates.
Bye bye priceline forever.
On a car rental price line takes your bid for a standard suv then they switch it to a economy car in the end. Long story short we miss a family members funeral because of greed and theft.
I got 60% off on my hotel reservation on the top of that they provided me cab service too. This is what I had an amazing experience with priceline.
Priceline has scams within their system... I used this site about 10 times while on medical emergency travel. I was at Seatac Airport, went to "hotels" and pressed "use my current location" - Seatac Airport came up; so far so good. I requested a hotel in this area and a number of good deals popped up. BUT - in the middle of all these hotels was an option for "Express Deal" saving 60% off - so i clicked on it and clicked on the 3.5 star hotels and Priceline says they will pick the hotel. THEY PICKED A HOTEL IN THE SEATTLE AREA, NOT SEATAC, a $55 cab drive each way... no shuttle service of course since it was so far away from the airport. I contacted Priceline and their "customer service" said 'you accepted our terms when you used this site" and would not help. I asked them to contact the hotel and transfer the reservation to the exact same hotel next to the airport (the Crown Plaza) and they said "we can't do that; express deals are non-negotiable" Many more stories on all of my ten reservations - always the same from Customer Service... "sorry, can't help you" Horrible site.
Some businesses pride themselves for providing valuable services. Others are opportunistic whenever a customer makes an honest mistake. Priceline makes a good percentage of its money from the mistakes of customers. Seems like they would value their customers and their reputation for service and trustworthiness, but alas, they seem to enjoy taking advantage of their customers mistakes. The website is designed to create confusion towards this end. I see many customer complaints online that describe the same scenario. A customer discovers a mistake in the date of their booking within minutes, immediately calls Priceline to get it corrected, only to find that they refuse to simply change a date for you, would rather keep your money, and forfeit customer relationships. It is obviously fruitful to them, but I cannot understand why they would rather keep as little as $59 of a customer's money, than keep the customer. Seems like bad business. It is certainly inhumane and scurrilous.
My hotel reservation was amazing. I got room at 5 star hotel on very low price. Without priceline it was not possible.
Finally I could have found a great online car rental services on reasonable rates.
I am glad to know they are very professionals. Behavior of their customer services are excellent. I hope they will reduce their price packages, so many people can get benefits from their services.
I recently booked 4 airline tickets through Priceline. Whilst I was aware that luggage was not included in the price of the ticket, I was in for a rude awakening when I was charged $40 as opposed to $18 per item through the carrier. According to Priceline the cost was $18. Not the airline's fault at all but Priceline who blatantly misrepresented the cost. It would have been cheaper for me to book directly through the airline. Dealing with a customer service representative at Priceline was like drawing hen's teeth. All they could do was apologise. AVOID USING AT ALL COST.
Booking for hotel reservation from priceline is very easy and reliable too. I had an amazing experience over here. I will come again.
First off, the price they offered was the same damn price the hotel offered me when I called them direct. Second, they didn't even book the room. Their "sister company" Booking.com did. Thirdly, they required a credit card, which was fine since I wasn't making the trip, though I was paying for it. But, it became a SERIOUS problem when payment was required at check in. The card information I gave was no good. It was only made to "hold" the reservation. What good is that if they can't use it?!?!? I am seriously concerned about my bank account being compromised now because there seems to be no other reason for them to have my card info than to be able to have it for illegal purposes. STAY AWAY FROM PRICELINE
Do not use Priceline they are not helpful. You can cancel your room but they do not refund a penny. They are frauds and scammers. Stay far away from Priceline.
I accidently booked a reservation not knowing that they were going to charge my credit
They are bastard who take money from people who don't have it. I hope the go straight to hell and jail.
I ended up not making it to my first motel while moving and was bummed I was out 80 bucks for it. I figured it was my fault, I couldn't call in the time required to cancel and get a refund. My mother happened to mention it on Twitter, not even bashing the company, they messaged her asking if she could share my information about the reservation. They refunded me the money and we didn't even ask for them too since we were clearly at fault. Every room I book is with them.
They are better than many other service provider. Their services are good but they can improve too.
When I got to the Hertz counter in Albuquerque, not only were they rude to me because I had gone through priceline, but Priceline had not given them all my information (number of drivers, number of tires) I ended up paying double what Price line quoted me online.
My $307 rental went up my $325. Even taking off tax, that's $300 difference.
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
