I had booked a roundtrip LAX to Huntsville. I had to cancel the return portion because my mother died. United Airlines showed a credit of $608; my return flight to LAX was $547. They refused to book the return without charging an additional fee. I tried to use my miles from United to pay the difference only to learn they couldn't use the miles. When I said then there's no reason to use Priceline in the future because I could get a better fare directly from the airline, they agreed.
I used their card a few times with no issue, I pay off my credit cards completely every month, or if I am on an offer, I have it paid by the end of the offer. Great right? Yea, well I got sucked into the scheme, I rented a car rental, like I have many times before, however this time we go to pick up the car and the person tells us its another 300+ dollars, I have the paid in full receipt, like I said its not my 1st or even my 5th time renting a car, I do it all the time, this was a scam, they thought they had me because it was late at night, no other rental places open, I just got off a 12 hour flight, I had all my paper work, but they still insisted i give them 300.+ more dollars, I said no, so they refused me the rental, fine with me, I had paid everything in full upfront, I have vehicle insurance and I am not going to be scammed. They went ahead with the charge on my cc, I called the company and they said there was no cancellation policy, I said I didn't cancel you refused me the car, So I disputed through Priceline Barclay cc, after doing research and digging, it seems that this company is in with these other companies and trying to rip people off, they denied me my dispute, I don't even think they read the initial one and they said they would ask for documentation, they didn't, so I appealed and sent them 80+ pages of documentation, its August, this started in March. I have called every month and I get the same answer they are working on it, after they tell me they see no paperwork and I have to tell them I sent in 80+ pages of documentation. I have A+ credit, I pay my bills, but I wont give thief's my money, I worked hard for. So please listen, Run as fast as you can from this company, they aren't on your side at any time, they are all for the merchant and they even advertise for the merchant.
I were about to rent a car they wanted me to pay for insurance up front I did when the deal on car didn't go through they haven't refunded my money. It was 7/28/22 today is 8/10/22 I'm going to post this everyday until I get my Money.
I live in Quebec and booked a hotel in a Quebec resort with Priceline via the Canadian site of Trivago. Priceline seemed to offer a better deal than Expedia.com, booking.com etc. I paid with Visa. When I checked my Visa account I was horrified to discover that the price they advertised was in US money and therefore the amount charged to my account was 300Cdn more than the price advertised. This is definitely misrepresentation on the part of PRICELINE to infiltrate and advertise on a Canadian site. Other reservations I made with Expedia via Trivago matched up the amount appearing in my VISA account.
I had the worst hotel experience ever on 8/5/2022 in Reno. Econo Lodge near Reno Sparks. Priceline should have a standard. That s... hole was a nightmare omg. I wanted to give this review a zero sheesh.
Well to start the rep completely lied. I was told I could pay through priceline which I did. I was told the payment went through. When I got to the hotel I had to pay because it wasn't paid. Also, I made it clear that the room had to have a walk in tub. I was told the room was handicapped accessible with a walk in tub. It was not. In conclusion, if you're smart, you'll never use priceline and you'll go to Expedia or anyone else cause priceline straight up sucks and they're liars
We rented a car through Priceline for our trip to St Thomas; the rental company was "Dollar Car Rental". The itinerary said pick up is at the airport in St Thomas. Our flight arrives, no Dollar counter. We called the "800" number for Dollar Car Rental on our Priceline itinerary…goes automatically to busy signal. We call the "800" number for Priceline…after being transferred from hotel reservations to car rental reservations (10 minutes later) we are given a non-working local (St Thomas) number…have to call the "800" Priceline number again, 10 minutes later (after all prompt options selections exhaustion), operator gives us the same no -working number…I said - that is a non-working number …operator: are you sure? Me: yes, I already called…operator: oh! Well, that's the only number we have on file? Are you sure you are at the Airport? Me: yes, I am at the airport noted on the itinerary…operator: are you sure? There is no counter? And you have tried calling the phone number? …by now I am looking for he "Candid Camera"…operator: well, I am going to have to transfer you to our escalation department to see if they can help you…escalation line: 20 minutes and waiting for an answer…I wrote a "ticket response" through Priceline on Monday - today (Friday) still no response on my complaint….
Note to self… just rent directly through the direct party and avoid the "middle man" who is useless if you need assistance!
Absolutely the worst experience with Priceline. Never again booking on Priceline. I would never use Priceline to book another flight. Spoke Alicia at escalation department, not helpful at all. Waste of time talking to them.
Chosen an option to accommodate 1 adult and 2 kids. Received reservation from booking.com with one guest only, been charged additionally for my kids. Tried to contact Priceline.com, their response was to solve it through Booking.com.
It's clearly Priceline's mistake but they wouldn't do anything regarding this. No chance I'll be using this website again. Before ordering they didn't even mentioned, that order goes through a 3rd party website.
Avoid those scammers at all cases.
Priceline site gave me option to choose morning, evening or midday departure. I chose midday, it booked me a night flight. I spent an hour total on phone, repeating myself 5 times and being transfered 5 times, then on chat, being told I would be refunded $15 less than I paid. This is ridiculus! I should not be paying for thier mistake! I have several trips coming up and they are now not giong to be booked through Priceline!
Priceline is awful! They will lie to you like it is nothing. Kept saying they were calling the hotel and that the hotel was unable to give me a refund, but when I called the hotel said no what they told Priceline is that Priceline owns the reservation so they would have to process the refund. Oh also found out that when you book with Priceline hotels charge Pricelines "credit card" not yours. That is why the hotel can not just refund you! Horrible just horrible. Save yourself the trouble and book directly with the hotel or use Expedia.
I had booked a trip through priceline…
I had booked a trip through priceline and the airline offered a free change due to the restrictions tightening up due to covid. Priceline refused to honor this and resulted in me sitting on the phone with them for 8 hours on Christmas Eve. The airline advised me that if i had booked directly this would not happen, they also advised me that there was nothing stopping PRiceline from honoring this and they lose no money. I lost 8k They lost their reputation and i make sure i tell everyone not to book with them for the rest of my life. Lesson learned
Priceline has absolute horrible customer service. I made a mistake on the city i needed a hotel in and immediately contacted them to no avail. I am out 600 for room i could not use.
I had to cancel my trip due to the wildfires. Priceline refused to refund my card without charging $200. It's very sad that they want to profit off of a natural disaster. Expedia and rental house refunded with no issues.
I reserved a car with Hertz through Priceline (never again) for one week, but finished my business in four days (this happens some times, folks) and returned the car. I was still charged for a 7-day rental because, as Priceline stated, "you need to talk to Hertz." When I called Hertz, they told me that I "need to talk to Priceline." After a cat-and-mouse chase to find the answer, I finally get a rep, who doesn't speak English, who barely tells me that I initially rented the car for a "non-refundable 7 day period." Huh...? I called Hertz back, and they laughed, "I know, we get complaints like this all the time. People looking for a car rental should ALWAYS book directly with the car rental company, and then added, "we could have offered the same rate or better in 99% of the cases... and you would have been charged only for the time used - whether or not you returned it early." LESSON LEARNED, PEOPLE: NEVER - EVER - RENT A CAR THROUGH PRICELINE! In fact, I'll never use Priceline again! I was being generous by giving them One Star!
We travel all of the time and just got back from a trip to Wisconsin to visit our grandkids. We booked on Priceline for a 3 night stay in La Crosse and 1 night in Minneapolis. We booked and paid ahead of time for the better rate. On checking out of the hotel we were charged again for the 3 nights. This would have been $84 cheaper booking direct. I contacted Priceline I was told by a supervisor, that the additional charge they passed on to me was a better rate from the hotel for Priceline only and their commission. That is untrue as I called the hotel and they confirmed we could have gotten it for that rate. All I wanted was the $84 refund we overpaid. I was told they would not refund me the difference. I will never use Priceline again. Just be aware of how they are ripping people off.
I booked through Priceline and was blindly placed at the Res Roof on Long Island. I called a rep and told her I heard bad reviews and that was one hotel I would not stay. She told me she could not. I went to the hotel the place place was filthy and disgusting not fit for humans or animals. The hallways smell like urine. The rooms were not clean. The walls had nasty marking on the pain. The sheets had holes in them.
I requested a refund again both through Priceline and the hotel itself and was told no
This place need to be inspected by. I left as I even requested to be placed somewhere else by Priceline and they told me no
I don't know who they expect to stay at that place but I will be contacting the health department
I went on to rent a mini van for my family of 7. I got the quote,... for $49.00 per day for a mini van. When I got to the last page to pay with my credit card,... the page CLEARLY confirmed a mini van $49.00 per day for 4 days. I pressed pay and when I did the page refreshed and showed I paid $49.00 per day for a COMPACT CAR! Within 3 minutes I found a phone number for Priceline and called and talked with a representative 'Janet" She informed me that I rented a compact car and not a mini van and if I wanted to pay 3 times more money I could have a mini van! I am baffled what happened on their site to change my page to a compact car after pressing pay! I tried to go back to the previous page and it said 'timed out'. I obviously did not rent the compact car and Priceline kept my money and refused to refund. What a SCAM!
Priceline partners with hotels that have bedbugs and dirty rooms then refuse to refund customers
Do not do business with Priceline. They are the worst!
I had booked a car rental through Priceline and in the original booking, I was only charged the amount of the purchased insurance, and the remainder of the two days was to be paid to Ace Car Rental, upon pick-up. My flight was delayed and I was not going to make my initial booking, so I contacted Priceline again, to edit the pick-up time to later that evening. They stated they could not edit it, but could cancel it and rebook the reservation to the later time. They did not inform me that the reservation type had changed, but they charged the full amount just after our call ended. Due to further delay, I was unable to get the car until the next day, only using it for one day. When I contacted Priceline, I was told that they would not be refunding the day I was not able to use. Had it been rebooked like the original reservation, Ace could have refunded the unused day, but because they took advantage of my situation, I was not refunded the money. DO NOT USE PRICELINE. They are nothing but thieves and their customer service is non-existent.
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
