Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. I spoke to supervisor Jared regarding a hotel reservation that had the wrong location and pleaded to help me change it because it was extremely important. Instead of providing solutions he dismissed my concerns by not providing any other options. The following agent, Ica and others did the same. This entire situation was extremely stressful causing me anxiety but the worst was the lack of empathy the employees showed. Not only were they not concerned but dismissive. I have never experienced such a disrespectful situation.
The hotel high class Bilhelm in turkey was not what it was Promised and I was told I could get a refund but the guy on Priceline did not end u getting me the refund. SCAM>
I took a trip via Priceline to Bali. Unfortunately due to a flight delay of the airlines my trip got rerouted. I got sent an email saying I should check in to the airlines but nothing about my return flight getting completely canceled. On the day of my return flight I was notified of this, gratefully I was able to get on standby from Bali to LA thanks to the agents at Singapore airlines. I would hesitate to book a ticket through Priceline again due to the lack of communication. Go directly through the airlines Priceline was really vague and it made for a very stressful trip back from a very beautiful place..
Flew Into Phoenix Mesa for a medical procedure my flight arrived after midnight and Priceline rented my car at sky Harbor! $100 later and now 1:30 in the morning I'm hoping to arrive at my nice accommodations that priceline helped me book and I'm driving around the ghetto of Phoenix and check in at one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in some bad ones, The pictures I took Don't do justice I will forever remember this trip that was cut short because I had to now return the rental car and book another hotel just so I could make my flight on time out of Mesa so I am now at about $500 over budget due the Priceline mistake, I use them to save money! I called to ask for a refund or to at least get my money back for the day early returning the rental car I kept being told they don't do cancellations I kept saying I rented the car two weeks ago this is not a cancellation I was baffled that no one can understand what I was saying I asked for a senior customer representative and the bottom line is even if they make a terrible mistake there is NO REFUNDS EVER with Priceline! I will be taking this up with the Better Business Bureau and the attorney general in Connecticut.
Before you accept, they have on their own invoice and site what they will charge your credit. They overcharged my credit card and I contacted them right away. After trying to do simple math with the rep for over half hour, I ask for manager. I told him look at the invoice and I have the charges displayed on my credit card and told him they overcharged me. Took few try but finally he agree and gave me an email to submit my invoice and copy of my credit card charge. I waited a few days since they were pending on my credit card then submitted. I was told to give them 5-7 days. After 2 weeks of nothing, I called customer service again and after an infuriating conversation with a rep, I asked for a manager since she just keep telling me I must request cancellation to get my refund and I keep repeating it's not refundable but I can get the difference back after I prove I was overcharged and she even found my email with the invoice and credit card charge. Unfortunately she didn't find any notes from last manager but her manager agree with me and said I didn't need to request cancellation to get reimbursed for difference and she will escalate it and to give 5-7 days. After 7th day still nothing so contacted my credit card company. I will not book anything from Priceline again. This company should go out of business with blatant overcharges and won't right anything they did wrong.
I thought I was talking to the front desk person because I asked the person I was talking to and he made me think I was. I also asked if he had my member number and he said yes. When I got off the phone I was charged $14.99 for hotel desk fee. I asked the hotel about this and they said I booked through Priceline. Well, I didn't think I had, but they scammed me. The hotel price per night was more expensive than what was agreed upon. Never again and I will make sure everyone I know, knows of their switch & bait practices.
After having to attempt to cancel a reservation that I paid for a cancellation policy as insurance during covid I spent 2 hours on the phone with attempts to get credit. Finally after speaking to 3 different representatives I got a credit. Finally I was ready to book a new flight. I called up and they wanted me to pay 500 dollars more than the site displayed. I had 280 credit. I would have saved 400 dollars by just rebooking a new flight. This company will tear you a new one anyway it can. Do not purchase the cancellation policy unless you just want a true headache. Just buy a new flight and saved the hassle and the MONEY!. Worst company ever
I rented a car using Priceline for seven days and paid up front. My trip then changed, from seven days to four, but I was aware of the Priceline contact and was fine with that. However, the car company ALSO charged me, as they required that I provide my credit card at the time of rental. I disputed both charges with my credit card and both disputes were denied, as Priceline had the rental contract and the car rental company verified that I received the services. I was double charged for a rental car and have no choice but to pay! I will NEVER use Priceline again.
Planned a trip, paid in full car rental, arrive early to pick up car. Suprise! No car was reserved, they were unable to provide any type of service. However they tried the charge Mutlitple time both insurence and reservations. Priceline and Hertz are Scams.
I bought a package for myself and my 2 kids to go to cancun, mexico, i entered everything, kids age and number, i paid for flight and hotel, when arrived at hotel, they said that my agent ( priceline) didn't send them any payments for none of my kids despite me buying a package for 3 people including flight and hotel, i paid $3500. 00. Ending up paying $500.00 more at hotel to cover the children when i've already paid before to price line-it's a scam.
I would give a Negative score if I could. I booked a vacation package through Priceline and ended up cancelling because I ended up getting a different room from what I selected, through Priceline. I only found this out because I called the resort to confirm which room I was assigned, and if I wanted the "upgraded" room i selected through Priceline I would have to pay more. So when I called Priceline about the room discrepancy, I was inform they have no direct decision in that regards. If that's the case, WHY would there a an option to SELECT a room and higher prices for the upgrade if Priceline DOES NOT have a decision in room selection? Anyways, I had to cancel the package and it's have been a horrible experience trying to get a FULL refund, as Priceline only thus far have issued partial refunds. I had to call the airlines and travel insurance agency directly to confirm the cancellation. All of the agency have either cancelled or void my transaction but Priceline still have not issue me a FULL refund yet. They're only good at re-directing me to the other agencies as they have no involvement in it... This is total trash and I will never book anything through Priceline again!
I had a double booked room spent half a day working to resolve it and they don't know what their own policy is. I talked to literally 5 people to resolve an issue and got 5 different ways to resolve it including they would take care of it which they didn't. Booking.com, Expedia or direct through the Hotel. I can't express enough how sorry this website.
Long story short. Priceline employees will blatantly lie to you over the phone and not honor any of their promises. Lots of discrepancies, lot of errors, you WILL be losing money and WILL be DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED.
DO NOT FALL FOR THE PRICE BREAKER DEALS! What they do is show you 3 resorts, 1 being cheap and two others in midrange. You agree to non changeable, non transferrable, non refundable. Then once you pay they assign the hotel. All good, BUT if you are searching for a certain category such as All Inclusive, Adult Only BEWARE because they will show you two in that category and one that is not, then give you the low end family resort with the cheapest deal (the price they are advertising). I fell for this and through rude service reps that keep quoting the contract, as well as a supposed "manager" in the call center, they would not change me to a category that I was shopping for. Shame on me for not investigating each resort to see that I could potentially get ripped off.
Even though it says they aren't a scam in many places it's a classic scam where they get you to buy the hotel booking then when you get there you can't use it because of a security deposit or some bull$#*! then the Priceline workers won't help you at all. Don't use this company to book stuff go somewhere else or you WILL lose your money.
I bundled my flight and car rental through priceline.com. They flew us into an Airport 30 miles away from my car rental ( it was at the other airport in Houston). After 3 hours of calling had to pay $200 to travel back and forth to get me rental! Was told over and over I should have read contract. Who does that?! That blamed me for not noticing my car was at Hobbs, meanwhile I landed at Bush! Horrible customer service! They booked it and said it was my fault!
The following is the experience I had with Priceline recently:
I was pleased that I could change my flight time with United Airlines; according to United Airlines I owed a balance of $0.00 with the change. UA then notified me that I needed to complete the change through Priceline. Priceline then charged me $613.00 for the new ticket. According to my attorney, this is an illegal practice known as "bait and switch"... the change in flight was advertised as "no cost" through the airlines, then once I made the change I was stuck for the additional cost through Priceline. I needed to have an earlier flight in order to fulfill certain obligations that I could not change. I will never use Priceline again. Like I said, what was done is illegal.
We made hotel reservations through priceline for a non-smoking facility, with a pool, and continental breakfast. We got there and it wreaked of cigarette smoke and they said the pool and breakfast were down. We told them to cancel our reservation and we'd find another place to stay and priceline has decided to not refund us because we didn't say the word "refund" while we were cancelling our reservation at the gross hotel. I'm not into playing stupid games like this, and I expect better from Priceline. Shame on them and I will never use their service again.
Made a reservation for car with Hertz through Priceline. NO MENTION of cancellation fee of $100 on website. Cancelled reservatiin a month. Ahead of time and told of $100, cancellation fee. What Bs! Never use priceline or Hertz!
I had to call multiple times for a refund. My hotel had bugs, garbage everywhere, backed up dishwasher overflowed all over my room and I was constantly being locked out of my room. I vacationed for 7 days and everyday something different happened. They only gave me credit for 1 day therfore I will not book with them again
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
