The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. This feedback indicates a critical need for improved transparency and customer support practices.

I don't recommend you to work with Priceline because you will be disappointed even if the price is lower than other travel companies. In our experience, Priceline is one of the worst travel companies, they don't even know the rental car office hours. Most rental cars should be open 24/7 at the airport, but some rental cars are not open late evening. My wife and I reserved a car, and we arrived around midnight, the rental car was closed, and we have to pay over $800 for only 2 nights with another rental car because we didn't have a reservation with them. It literally took us 3-4 hours to find another rental car that can give us a car without reservation after midnight at SFO.
I tried to book a flight on Frontier Airlines from Priceline and after I put in all my payment information they said the flight was no longer available. So I booked a more expensive flight on Spirit Airlines to the same location. Later I find out they billed me for the flight on Frontier Airlines that they said was unavailable and which I did not use. When I contacted them about the error they refused to do anything about it. I will never use Priceline again. BIG RIPE OFF!
SOLO TE ROBAN Y NO TE HACEN VALIDO TU CREDITO BUSCAN ESCUSAS te dicen que marques ala aerolinea pero eso no es verda son escusas para no darte el credito por que hacen mal sutrabajo en la web
I booked two nights for $298 total. On their website it said each night was 111.05 plus tax. There was no breakdown in price for specific days. I ended up needing to cancel because of a cancelled flight. I called as soon as I knew the flight was cancelled to cancel the reservation. I knew I would be charged for one night. However, when I got my refund, it was $78! And they tried to tell me that the night I was going to stay there was just a lot more expensive. Priceline never said that or specified that on the reservation. And they refused to give me the $111.05 plus tax in total back, said there was nothing they could do, not even a voucher or credit. I was flabbergasted. Seems like Priceline has gone deceitful. How unfortunate.
Priceline has been terrible to deal with. I did the express hotel rental deal and agreed to a price (which the site said inckuded taxes and fees) which they immediately charged ot my card, but when I arrived at he hotel they would not give me the room unless I paid another $60. I called pricelines customer service while at the check in desk and their agent said to pay the fee and that they will reimburse me for the fee within three days. They never did, I made 12 calls to them over a 4 day period and wasted 6 hours, and priceline refused to honor the quoted price or refund me for the extra fee I had to pay just to check in. I will be nedding hotels for over 600 nights over the next few years, and not a single one of them will be booked through priceline. I learned my lesson with this little $60 impact. Priceline also owns Booking.com,, Agoda.com, Kayak.com, Cheapflights, Rentalcars.com, Momondo, and OpenTable. I will avoid all of them. Priceline is dishonest and I would suggest you read comments on this and other review sites. Avoid them if you dont want to be scammed.
I have been a loyal VIP customer for 20+ years and after today, I will NEVER use priceline for my bookings ever again. I paid $1007 per ticket for airfare through priceline, the price dropped to $450 per ticket, and they would do NOTHING for me- I called the airline direct and had I booked through them, I would have paid a $99 change fee, and then rebooked my flights for the going price. Priceline would do NOTHING - and have lost a customer for life! Hope its worth it.
Horrible service recovery, on hold for hours, reps untrained how to problem solve and look into concerns. Do not recommend booking with Priceline, going to airline is much easier and Priceline will direct you to airline anyway for any problems, Priceline useless
Literally the worst company I've ever interacted with. Booked a car at the SFO Airport. Get there and the company they set me up with is not at SFO- its at a location a half hour away via shuttle. Annoying but I tried to let it go. Get to the shuttle location. They are running a 5 person shuttle once every half hour with a line of 20+ people. Awful but we wait it out. Finally get to the sketchy location after the driver spent the entire drive on Instagram to a huge line with one customer service rep. Get through that hurdle to find they literally don't even have a shuttle to get us back at the time we need to return the car. Called priceline with this info and they were unwilling to help in any way. No refunds or help. Absolute joke of a 'company'. We left their vendor after another hour wait for the shuttle to book with a location actually at the airport priceline had claimed we were booking with to begin with.
Discussting, girl shooting up in the hallway, vomit in elevator, cockroach on the bed, room smelled like marijuana. Gross and had to leave and book another room at a different hotel and Priceline would not refund or give me any assistance what so ever! Poor customer service, would not recommend using them!
I made a flight reservation thru Priceline, me and my family could not make this trip because it got cancel due to a massive hurricane, I contacted the airline and they refunded the money right away to Priceline and told me that this company needed to refund me my $$$…. This is the 3rd week that I tried to reach them and no one helps me with this matter, they transfer me to every department and no one knows Anything, they put me on hold and then hang ups the call, this keep on happening everyday for the last 3 weeks, either they have non capable people working there or just simply they don't want to refund MY $$$ and they are just playing with my intelligence which is ridiculous, at the end of the day is my $$$ and I want it back ASAP!
PRICELINE... I will never trust them again. I tried to book a flight and afrter i put my credit card number in, i got a msg that the flight was no longer available, please try again. This happened 4x before i got a congratulations your flight is confirmed message. Two days later, i happened to check my credit card statement and it showed 5 booked flights, all on same day. I called Priceline and they refused to refund me because I booked non refundable flights. Even though it was an error on their system they refused to help me. When i asked if I was the only person this happened to, they said no, they have these complaints ALL THE TIME. That tells me they are aware of the issue and are refusing to fix it. PRICELINE IS A SCAM, PLAIN AND SIMPLE. The company that owns Priceline also owns rentalcars.com, Kayak, Booking.com among others. Warn your friends!
We booked flights for our cruise from Tampa traveling from Maine, first part was fine got back from cruise went to register for return flight was told it was cancelled, they never booked return flight and we actually had the printed paper work to prove it, Priceline would not help us they even was rude and hung up so a call back and still they said it could take 4 to 5 days to research meaning out of pocket for hotel to maybe get a refund, we decided to go to the airport and booked another flight home our own money, called next day from home still making me feel there mistake was our fault, still no help stay away from Priceline the company from hell
I ended up paying a lot for a low end hotel, hotel charged my credit card too too much.
Been in equivalent situations with Hotels.com and Expedia, however, both Expedia & Hotels.com helped me get the money back that the hotel charged without a reason.
Not Priceline.
They basically did nothing.
So, if your money & holiday is important to you, don't book anything from Priceline, they have shady hotels and they shady.
PRICELINE IS A JOKE if i could give no stars i would of.
PRICELINE IS A JOKE! Customer service reps are stupid- sent out 2 emails stating i have unused credit for my wife and myself- call to book a flight only to say my credit doesnt exist- put on a manager and he was just as dumb- they stole 300$ from me and just think its okay to laugh on the phone and "act" like theyre trying to help you continueoeusly putting you on hold to tell you 3 different dates on when i should of used my credit when my email said 11/19/22 - manager said sept 30 /representative said aug 23 - email says 11/19/22 DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH SUCH A S H I T COMPANY - i have alot of patience but when it comes to my hard earned money there is no excuse for idiotic behavior and systems that doesnt even secure youll get your money back in the end- ATTACHED emails as well - i aint dumb to send out these emails to say another on the phone-
DO NOT USE PRICELINE OR ALLIANZ GLOBAL
I booked a non-refundable trip through priceline. Priceline recommended that I purchase insurance through Allianz Global, so I did purchase trip insurance as they recommended, Unfortunately, I did end up really sick and could not travel. I have been trying to get the trip insurance to pay for SIX months. They keep asking that the same documentation be submitted. I am on the sixth submission. I reached out to Priceline for help since they sold me the INSURANCE. Priceline is no better than Allianz Global who they promote. I will never use Priceline again. Please save yourself wasted money and do not use Priceline or Allianz Global.
They have three prices for the absolute worst customer service. Not waste your time Trying to price match won't happen. They advertise best price guarantee it's a lie
I chose deal in which 3 hotels were listed, each with almost identical reviews for a discounted rate of $76 but Priceline not I would choose which of these I would get. Sounded good. They did warn that upon choosing this deal it was nonrefundable. OK, they were all similar and $76 was a good price. I assumed there would be tax added ( between 12%_15%) but still good deal.
However, after choosing the deal my invoice indicated $20.97 taxes and fees. That is 28%, and they also charged $7.62 Resort fee.
I immediately tried to cancel but, you guessed it, nonrefundable.
After arriving at the Baymont in Witchita Falls, Tx. I learned the lodgers tax was 15% and was told the hotel does NOT charge a resort fee.
I called Priceline and was told the tax was on the original, rather than discounted, price. Imagine buying something at 1/2 price but paying tax on the originaI price. I am not sure but I think this rises to the level of fraud so I will be contacting the Attorney General of Texas' office.
THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY EVEN THOUGH IS THEIR FAULT THAT THEY CANCELLED YOUR FLIGHT, BEWARE! CUSTOMER SERVICE ARE USELESS, THEY WILL HAPPILY RECEIVE YOUR MONEY FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT BUT WON'T REFUND YOU, THEY WILL MAKE YOU WAIT FOREVER, I WAITED 6 MONTHS ALREADY AND THEY SEEM NOT TO CARE ABOUT GIVING MY MONEY BACK! SCAMMERS, SCUMMY NASTY COMPANY!
I reserved and paid for a hotel room (Ft. Lauderdale Grand) for one night thru Priceline.com. When I got to the hotel I was refused check-in because my son, who unbeknownst to me, had his wallet and bike stolen from that same hotel on a previous stay so he didn't have ID. I had my ID and the credit card that I had paid the room with. This was a week ago and Priceline is refusing to give me a refund because they can't get in touch with the hotel so they can approve the refund. It's NOT my fault, nor should it cost me my money because they can't contact one of their contracted businesses that refused me service I paid for because the hotel won't respond to them. I'd like to add that we went to another hotel that night and had no problem checking in with just MY ID and credit card.
First of all requested a call back. Then I got a question if I still need an assistance press 1 - I did got an answer goodbye and then hand up, second time is the same.
Called my self asked to add my reservation to my account they told me that they cannot help me - all other companies can\help with this Priceline cannot.
Either fix your software or go out of business!
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
