I rented a car from Dollar rental car through Priceline. I flew half way across the country to attend a dinner. 30 minutes from the airport the car broke down. Not only did it take the tow truck almost 2 hours to get to me, I was forced to ride back to the airport with the tow truck driver to get another car. All together this took over 5 hours, and I was late to the dinner that I traveled to be at. Dollar told me because I paid in advance through Priceline, they could not give me even 1 day credit and to call Priceline. Priceline told me the problem was between me and Dollar, and they could do nothing for me. TOTAL BS. They should have brought me a car instead of making me go all the way back to the airport, and they should have credited me at least 1 day. All I asked for was 1 day credit.

Buyer Beware- don't do it. I purchased a package deal with hotel, car and flight. Booked on Frontier which charged extra for everything but the seatbelt. Not even beverage service for a 3 hr flight. End of day, could have flown Delta, had a good experience and earned miles. Ugh, OK- moving on. Priceline then booked me for a car rental place called "Routes" which was 20-25 min OUTSIDE of the airport- I arrived in Denver at 10:15pm and the Routes website said they were open 24 hrs "almost always" (WTF does that mean?) the shuttle never came so I took a Lyft. This place was in the middle of absolutely no where and black for miles surrounding it. It was 18° and my phone battery was at 3%. I called another Lyft who began to turn around when he couldn't find the place- I got him to come back and find me (he showed up with no lights on and tinted windows- terrifying) and I made it to the hotel in 1 piece. I called Routes the next day who argued with me saying it clearly states on their website that they close at 10- Uh, OK, you can say that as many times as you would like; it doesn't make it true. You open up their site and it goes to "24 hr/7 day Car Rentals." I got a hold of Priceline who said it is the customer's responsibility to ensure the car rental is open after they land. Why even book through Priceline if you can't trust their bookings? Why would they package a car rental with a partner that is closed after the customer arrives? There is nothing in their system to catch that. I ended up in the suburbs of CO and had to rent from Enterprise for $450 after the 2 Lyfts for another $115 and the extra $70 for bags on Frontier. Again, I would have far better off from every angle booking on Delta, Avis (airport) and staying in a decent hotel. The Holiday Inn was crap city. Terrible experience. All of this while I'm here trying to be with my Mom who is end of life and in the final days. Seriously, who needs the extra stress? Buyer beware. Priceline may (I repeat, may) refund me $100 for the price of the Routes rental car. How much is your life worth standing in the middle of nowhere at 12am in 18° weather with a 3% charge in your phone? If this had been one of my kids, our attorney would be getting involved to sue Priceline.

Priceline really screwed me. I asked for a room with two queen beds for two adults. They assigned me to a decent hotel, but put me in a room with a double bed for two adults. They did not ask if I wanted a double bed for two, I was traveling with my older brother and we did not wish to sleep together. How and why would they ever think that a double bed was acceptable? They never asked! They said I signed a contract, maybe I did, but it was only after i asked for a room with two queens, and I assumed that would be the case. Whoa unto me that I was that stupid to think they would honor a request like that. Never will I use Priceline again. Be very careful, they are a sly bunch of manipulators.

Be careful
November 30, 2022

I rented a car for my California Trip for my family trip and when I got to the place they told me that I didn't have any reservation. I called Priceline customer Service and they assured me that my reservation is there. After they talked with the representative, they told me that they were right, there was not reservation. My trip was ruined thanks to Priceline; I was a in a place with kids and looking for a place to rent a car. Priceline did not give any solution. I believe one star it is too much. I gave them 0 rate due to all the hassle and ruin my trip. NEVER TRUST AGAIN... Be careful with it!

Easy car rental experience. No issues at all!
November 29, 2022

I typically book directly with a preferred company, but it was Thanksgiving weekend and prices were out of control. I checked Priceline and decided to give it a try. I used Priceline to book a car rental with National and found a great deal that was half the price I found with National directly. I had zero issues. After paying through Priceline and reading the fine print about No Changes/No Cancels/No Refunds, I checked my booking on the National site and all my info was there. When I arrived at my destination, check-in was fine. After returning the car a few days later, I got a receipt from National and an email from Priceline. All good!

I would use Priceline again.

Priceline is first and foremost a scam. I was double charged and put on 'customer service help' for over 6 hours yesterday. I was double charged on Paypal and Priceline keeps sending me in circles. The average response time during a customer service chat, messaging or phone call is about 20-30 minutes.
This place stole $250 from me right during the height of Black Friday Christmas shopping and everytime I try to contact them I can't get through. Today apparently their 'site is down'. I do not ever recommend anyone using Priceline. It was probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a hotel reservation- and I did 10 years of travelling soccer with 2 boys! Stay away. Don't give them ANY access to your money. They steal it and refuse to even talk to you about getting refunded.

People, please! Do yourself a favor and book your flight somewhere else. I bought an international flight from Priceline in August of this year for a trip in December, but the flight has been modified 3 times already with an 8-hour layover in some case. Last week, upon checking my reservation to make sure nothing has been changed again, I was astonished to see that my return flight has been cancelled without any notification.
I called Priceline to inquire about the cancellation, they told me to call the airline (mind you, the booking was made by Priceline) to find out why happened. When I called the airline, they sent me back to Priceline as they stated that the reservation was not made through their portal. That's where things started to make sense to me as stating by the previous customers, Priceline is totally fraud. I've been calling the customer service for over a week to get my return ticket reinstated but to no avail. At one point, they transferred my call to a so-called supervisor who put me on hold for almost 20 minutes and hung up the phone.
I'm at a few days from my departure and Priceline decided that they cannot honor their contract and opted to refund me the cost of the flight. Isn't a messed-up situation? I'm left stranded and need to purchase a new ticket which has doubled in price for the same destination.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU BOOK YOUR FLIGHT EITHER WITH THE AIRLINE COMPANY OR THROUG A RELIABLE AND REPUTABLE ONLINE BOOKING PLATFORM.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM PRICELINE OR GO WITH IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I googled a hotel and found a priceline.com link for this hotel. When I clicked the link and completed filling in booking info on booking page of my selected hotel, the Priceline.com application pop up a list of three hotels including the hotel I wanted with "Get one" button, which the Priceline.com calls Pricebreakers. I was misled I was still booking the hotel I selected. After I got booking confirmation, I realized the Priceline booked another hotel for me. I immediately called the priceline.com and explained their application misled me and I would like to change the hotel I wanted. The priceline.com customer service manager was rude and helpless. She kept saying "The only thing I can help you is No change and No refund." I was terrified by this company's practice and services. I will nerve use the priceline.com

Terrible service
November 25, 2022

Booked a trip and cancelled it within less than 24 hours. Spoke with Priceline on the phone and they told us that we would receive a full refund. A week goes by and we receive a refund of $16.99. Days later we can Priceline and they say that they can't do anything about it and they have to get other people involved and they will contact us within 3-5 business days. The lady was talking as if she was reading off of a script. She kept repeating the same sentence over and over again. Don't bother using Priceline. They'll take your money and rip you off.

Bad luck with car rental
November 25, 2022

I was out of state, needed to get home and couldn't get a flight so I rented a via Priceline with Avis. I had tp pay 26.00 up front to Priceline for the insurance. They never stated that I would need a credit card as Avis does not accept Debit cards, that was all I had, or cash. I had to rent elsewhere, and there is no way to contact Price line to get a refund. Terrible

Horrible customer service. Booked on 11/8/22, had to rebook to an earlier time, but same day. Called 11/18/22 to rebook and was told it would cost over $800 to rebook the itinerary. Asked to talk to representative, waited over half an hour on phone before I decided to hang up. Called 11/21 to rebook, was told the same thing... over $800. Eventually spoke to a supervisor who helped me, but ended up having to pay $160 (including a $99 fee for rebooking) to change only 1 flight. Extremely dissatisfied customer, will NEVER use Priceline again. I will go out of my way to make sure that friends and family never use it as well.

Misrepresentation
November 18, 2022

On my 10 year anniversary I booked with Priceline a room with a hot tub in it. The agent confirmed that the hotel he found had a hot tub in it so my husband and I drove 45 minutes from our home to another city to stay at this hotel when we got there that amenity was not available and none of their rooms had hot tubs so we left and came home. I then requested a refund for misrepresentation and have only been given the runaround since. They have not taken responsibility or accountability for misrepresenting the hotel and refuse to refund my money.
I have booked all of my trips through Priceline but going forward I will never use Priceline again. And I will be filing a complaint with a Better Business Bureau and my attorney general.
I only requested that Priceline do their due diligence and review all the information including the recorded conversations of when I booked this stay to make a fair decision. They have instead chosen to not do that and just keep passing me off to another person to another person to another company getting new resolution I'm extremely disappointed.

I am a VIP member and used Priceline for many bookings, but God Forbid, you actually need customer service or a manager to handle something! You are lucky they pick up the phone, they are answering from a 3rd world country and just repeat the same thing over and over! I am deleting my account and will never book anything with them again! My flight time changed and I can not fly on those dates now and they refuse to refund me the return flight cost! $275 down the drain!

Horrible
November 18, 2022

Prices car rental are quoted ex insurance so it looks cheap but they don't tell you that the insurance is excluded. After booking you cannot cancel or you loose your money. This is also very bad "service". At booking.com or airbnb you can always cancel but not here. Then you ask what the insurance will be. After 1,5 hr chatting with support! I still have NO QUOTE for the insurance. What? Then they promised me to get back to me via email about the insurance cost. One week later i still haven't heard from them. They just brush you off at support. Unbelievable, HORRIBLE

Put in my search criteria to reflect pet friendly and then was offered a great fast deal. Turns out the hotel is not pet friendly and Priceline refused to refund or replace hotel. I've used them for 20 years in excess of ******* a year and will be headed now to a travel site that will respect my repeated VIP membership! BUYER BEWARE! Priceline is owned by the same company as Expedia, Orbitz, hotels.com and Travelocity,- so you might want to avoid those as well.
