The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. This feedback indicates a critical need for improved transparency and customer support practices.

This deserves a 0 star. I was booking a hotel for my upcoming vacation. I was going to be in the city for 4 nights, their website glitched and booked me in for 5 nights charging my CC. Immediately after making my booking I called them and let them know it booked me for an extra change weirdly (not even 2 mins later). And they told me they could do something but only after the weekend (3 business days later).
I called again during the week and they told me sorry it's a no refund policy despite it literally being an issue with the NOT USER FRIENDLY website. The customer service is awful! I now have an extra night booked somewhere where I won't be. But clearly from all the reviews they are NOTORIOUS for this. I wish I read reviews prior to booking anything on their website. Never again ….
In addition to the language barrier, I was told different information each time I contacted them. Had to cancel a vacation, they cancelled the hotel, but later noticed the airline wasn't canceled. Now they are saying too much time has gone by to issue the credit. I switched to exedia and they have been great.
Buyer beware. Read the fine print. Priceline doesn't honor the time you actually rent a vehicle, they charge you the same even if you turn the vehicle in earlier than your scheduled turn-in date. Turning in a rental car early is never charged by ANY rental car company I've ever dealt with. Absolute frauds. Trust me. Just go direct with the rental car company. It's not worth the extra few dollars you save.
Look at all the bad reviews online for using Priceline, or a better name would be Price Scam. Do your research before booking with this company. I thought I was booking through Bj's warehouse travel, but they use Priceline and do not say anything to you about it. I called Bj's with my problem, and they referred me to Priceline, that is the only way I knew PriceScam was used.
Would be a 0-star review if that were an option. No customer service, no customer satisfaction and could care less what happens to their customers or their experience. They are partners with Spirit airlines who are the dregs of airlines. I guess you pay for what you get. If you want canceled, delayed and poor flights this is your company to book with. There are fees and additional charges for everything. They charge $200 for the flight and $400 for your carry-on bags and seat selection. That is beside the point and not even my issue. They had 4 planes sitting in the hanger and no staff to fly them. We were only missing a co-pilot for our crew. They delayed us for over 8 hours saying it was because of the weather. Then canceled the flight and told us it was because of the weather. The inside airport staff was so fed up with the constant questions about our flight they told us the truth, they said the co-pilot called off because he didn't want to fly such a late flight. Our only option was to wait in the airport for 12 more hours for the next Spirit flight that could get us to Philadelphia. I would take 18 more hours to fly back to the east coast with a layover after going further west to LA. It was crazy unbelievable. Was stranded in the airport for 13+hours, but I was eventually lucky enough to find seats on a last-minute flight to come home to Delaware. Cost me $1760 extra. I did it all on my own with no help from Priceline. They said nothing they can do, that's how it is. If it's not their fault, then there was nothing they were willing to do. I spoke to the executive team when I returned, they offered me $50 total to split between all 5 of us for the inconvenience. What a joke. Learned this lesson the hard way. Price Scam got us good!
Priceline advertised a car to rent at their location at the Atlanta International Airport. When I arrived to pick up car, I was informed they didn't have a car for me. I stated I already paid for it online and why would they advertise a vehicle and have me pay for it with the expectation of attaining it? They said they was sorry, so I asked for a refund and they told me I can't get my money for five days! Are you kidding me! First you do false advertisement, then to add insult to injury, you keep my money for five days. The worst experience ever! They didn't offer me another car or anything. The lady at Thrifty Car was horrible and rude! The lady on the phone said her name is Annie. The worst experience ever!
I reserved plane tickets and a car on January 17th for July 6-9th. We found out we didn't need the car rental so i tried to cancel it on January 30th. You would think with the cancelation being so early there would not be a problem. They kept $100.00 of my money. For no services rendered, just because they can. So just know they are not there to help. You do all the work and they just keep the money. I made the reservation, i picked the car company to rent from. I canceled the order. THEY did NOTHING
TREAT THESE SHYSTERS LIKE A RATTLESNAKE! Can I give a no star review? I made reservations last night but had to change them this morning due to a scheduling conflict. After staying on the line for over an hour with one of their condescending supervisors she informed me that Priceline could not refund my hotel reservations or my rental car. Hundreds of dollar out of my pocket and into theirs. What a POS company.
I purchased airline tickets from Priceline. When I received e-mail from carrier, my wife's name was mis-spelled. I know TSA can sometimes be really picky about this and they can deny your travel. Sadly, Priceline is not able to correct such mistakes. So what's the point of using Priceline when I could have gone to the airline directly?
Really poor service, I booked a hotels package and they were not responsible for a system bug. When I arrived to the hotel I had to pay an additional room at the highest price and Priceline did not assume any responsability. I will not use Priceline.com anymore.
I reserved a car with Priceline and arrived at the car rental company and they made me repay the price (base rate, drop-off fee, taxes). I paid $87 USD twice. The two companies are rejecting the fault on the other one (MEX rent a car). I can't get help from them.
So I've been using Priceline for years now. I've booked flights hotels car rentals in other countries. They have even made me a V.I.P member. I'm on a trip with my son in Orlando Florida and made a typo on the hotel that I wanted to stay at. I called 2 hours later and told them I would like to change my hotel. A lady told me that she would call me back but never did. So I wake up the next morning and call them. Annie was the representative name and after she said she couldn't do anything for me I asked to speak to the supervisor.she told me "the supervisor will tell you the same thing" that was very unprofessional.I did not ask you that Annie. Then the Manager Gray was very rude and kept speaking over me.this whole organization has gone to crap.DONT BOOK HERE. You would think that after being a "vip" member for years they could make a simple switch.don't count on it.
Everything went wrong! Priceline advertised pictures of a hotel with BEAUTIFUL hotel rooms for a great price. Once I got to the hotel, it was a nightmare. Room was TERRIBLE. Rusted fixtures, hot water running on tub with hair hanging from the faucet, bubbles on the ceiling, water stains on ceiling and bed. It was terrible. Spoke to hotel manager and he acted as if he didn't understand me. Called PRICELINE and today is 1/25/23, after 4 calls, nothing has been resolved. Their answer to me is "we need to speak to hotel manager" which they said they've tried to do but cannot get a hold of him. NOTHING has been solved. No apologies, refund, nothing! Don't waste your time with Priceline. The worst experience ever!
I tried to book a trip to oversea flight + hotel. When I paid for the trip, it tricked me to apply for Priceline Visas for a hundred dollars. No response on the Visas application. I rebooked the trip and paid with American Express card, and it rejected again and I entered a Citi Visas card. It rejected due denied from Citi Visas. I called Citi Visas to question regarding the denied charge. I learned the Priceline.com charged $126.00 to Citi Visas and 2 charged at American Express card. I felt so bad about providing my personal information to fake a Barclay bank on Priceline Visa application. Beware of many scams to trick you to apply a credit card.
Booked a hotel accommodation through Priceline.com and added a trip protection to the package as available option on the order page, because all priceline.com bookings are non-refundable.
After check-out and payment processing I discovered that the trip protection ordered was not included in the booking and only tiny note on the page mentioned it without further information explained the absence of the ordered protection plan.
We called Priceline.com and were informed that had a system glitch. But even after escalating the case to the supervisor we were simply told, that they neither can add the ordered protection plan to the booking anymore nor cancel the faulty booking. So we are screwed because of priceline.com bad computer system.
Thus WARNING to everyone:
Priceline is CHEAP in any way, low prices yes, but even much lower customer service or liability!
Don't waste your money and stay away from these sharks! We will book in future again witch reliable companies like Expe... or Booki...
This was my worst experience with a website to book flights! They told me that I can change my flight to any country with a charge of $200 and now they are saying that it's only within Indonesia because I want to shorten my trip with Bali and go to a different country and then back to mine. I advise not to use this website for booking flights. They are not trustworthy.
I booked a pricebreaker deal for a 4 star hotel. You basically pay one special price and they select one of 3 hotels for you. They give me a MOTEL with no housekeeping service. Their "spa" was a closet attached to the fitness center where they could do a massage. It was so sketchy. All furniture in room was from IKEA, and even the bathroom door had a 2 inch gap and wouldn't close! You can hear every single noise coming from everywhere. No water pressure at all in the shower. Original shower from the 60's. Popcorn ceiling...I can't make this up if I tried. Don't bother with customer service. It is outsourced and they will NOT help you under any circumstance. This was false advertising. I was in a 1 star motel, at best.
If i could give less then a 1 star i would. Ive been fighting for a partial refund for almost a month now and i haven't gotten a single response i get put on hold for at least a hr a time for them to tell me its a airline problem and the airline says its pricelines, never use them they are so stuppid
Found what I thought was a good deal on Priceline for NYC Hotel stay that Priceline said was "all inclusive and included taxes and fees". Trip was fine. Hotel then charged me over $200 in "Destination Fees" for water/coffee/?other that was NOT in the amount I paid.
Priceline hid behind the small print on their website that was DECEPTIVE AND MISLEADING when I contacted them. They claimed they had no way of knowing them and it was between me and the hotel. The hotel eventually refunded and I asked them to stop working with Priceline or talk with them about this boondoggle practice. I contacted Priceline and was basically hung up on at least twice with standard verbiage they resolved it which was not the case and refused to hear me out even to understand the problem better and my "ask" that they disclose this better. I will be encouraging my senators and representatives to continue with HR 4489 designed to force disclosure of all fees in the advertised rate. Be VERY WARY OF PRICELINE and read https://www.insidehook.com/daily_brief/travel/what-are-hotel-destination-fees for additional details of this unfortunate industry practice to be wary of.
Rentan carros baratos online, pero para sacarlos piden luego mucho. Pésimo servicio y frustrante no poder tener lo que se ha pagado online por falta de claridad.
I booked through priceline to stay a whole week at $300.00 + at the same hotel due to a housefire. I lost everything and is homeless. My number and email is on file attached to my profile with accurate information. Somehow a duplicate reservation was made without my knowledge, however money was taken off my card. It makes me feel real weird to pay for a week and have a duplicate reservation for one day. Who in their right mind would make a reservation for one day at the same hotel and already paid over $300.00 for a room for a week. I called customer service to ask why was money taken off my card for a single day reservation. The person which is a woman was so rude, placed me on hold only to tell me she cancelled the reservation and a penalty of no refund. I wished like hell it was face to face because I would have beat the living daylight out of her. I am homeless with no money in which the money they took was for food and transportation expenses. This is not right at all and I'm not ever booking $#*! else with these money hungry $#*! booking. $#*! all the humans who work for this bootleg $#*! booking site.
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
