The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. This feedback indicates a critical need for improved transparency and customer support practices.

Seems like a gimmick, where all these staff people are trying to make a fool of me by just not giving any answer
What should i do?
Resort in Daytona was closed due to storm; want to change pick up of rental car at a different airport to a resort in Orlando; being told too bad by Priceline rep. Cannot change rental car reservation for Daytona location. Had various people on phone for hours who could not annunciate well and transferred several times lost in computer voice jail between rental car and Priceline. Told emergency conditions cannot answer phone. All of this total BS. What kind of ridiculous policy will not let you change location of car rental pickup with same company on same scheduled date when this sort of thing happens beyond the customer control? Pathetic policy does not have customer first mantra at all. This is clearly a greedy policy that is despicable. Hats off to the glutenous policy makers at Priceline. Because of your greedy policies, I will never use your company again or refer anyone else to use it
I feel someone is lying.
Priceline sent an email saying there was an issue asking me to call. They said LATAM canceled a flight and could not book me on an alternative. LATAM said the flight was never booked. Priceline said I needed to fix it with LATAM... so to protect our trip I booked the missing flight with LATAM. I then called Priceline asking for a price adjustment and they said they could only refund / cancel the entire trip. I am going to find out if my flight was really was cancelled and find out how often this happens. In this day of computing it makes no sense that a cancellation can't be accommodated by Priceline. I used the Japanese method with the Priceline agent by asking "how do I make sure this never happens again" and the agent's response was void.
As a frequent traveler I want to let others know about Priceline's Misleading Advertised Room Price Scam.
Please, never go by their advertised ROOM PRICE whether on an Express Deal or a regular booking. They charge an exorbitant pure profit fee in their Taxes & Fees which is NOT EXPLAINED, but just a Ghost Fee which usually makes their price MORE EXPENSIVE than competitor sites. I have seen it over & over again. How much is it? I just measured it. The DEN Airport Hotel Deal was $73, TAX was 15.75% or $11.50; Priceline CHARGED an ADDITIONAL $10.48 in an Un-itemized FEE listed in taxes & fees bringing the total to $94.98...
So please know you are paying Priceline a mysterious $10.48 FEE (or another 14.36% more than the room cost), & in addition to the 15.75% tax...so their $73 room cost over 30% more. Not VERY TRANSPARENT & their competitors don't charge this EXTRA FEE.
Even though a rival site may be slightly higher w/ their quoted room price their actual TOTAL COULD BE LOWER.
Apparently, PRICELINE thinks we are stupid?
Now you know, shop the bottom-line price not the Room Price, before falling for this scam!
This company booked a reservation for one date and after I paid. Changed the date. I called immediately and they said the reservation was charged already after just 1 minute and is nonrefundable. They refused to change the date. BEWARE!
Canceled a flight 48 hrs ahead of time due to a medical illness. The airline release the zero value and said Priceline had a lock on the funds. Priceline refuses to even credit the amt for a future flight or room. They just flat out take advantage of their customers and steal their money. Terrible!
I wish i can give them a zero rating. I have never been played in my life like the way Priceline agent play. They must have been trained on how to push customers around for nothing. I regret ever dealing with you Priceline. Highly disappointed with the poor service from Supervisor and fraudster's agent working with the company, they tell you what you want to hear to push you off the calls.
2 cases within a few days:
- I rented a car in Mexico via Priceline which I paid in full in advance. Upon the arrival, the rental company rep decided to rip me off and said I must pay some additional insurance in order to get the car (which was half the price of the car rental amount). I refused and asked Priceline to pay me back. Priceline said - no, because I should have cancelled 24 hours before. Nice. My case is now with my credit card company - I am trying to dispute the charge.
- I rented a hotel room in Mexico and paid in full in advance. Upon the arrival I was told by the Hotel rep that I have to pay additional "government sanitation fee". The amount was not large (around $2 per day, $35 in total), so I paid.
To my question as to why there are hidden unknown fees, Priceline quoted my trip information - "The credit card is required for any additional hotel specific service fees or incidental charges or fees that may be charged by the hotel to the customer at checkout. These charges may be mandatory (e.g., resort fees) or optional (parking, phone calls or minibar charges) and are not included in the room rate". They also recommended me to call the hotel and argue with them. After that they just hung up on me.
That is - if some hotel decided to charge you additionally $******* of "resort fees" and you refused to pay it, then it is your problem, and you will lose the payment along with the room, since your cancellation policy does not allow to cancel at all or you did not cancel in advance.
Nice again.
I made a reservation through Priceline, they charged me $128.18. I cancelled the reservation 3 hours ahead of time and they will not refund me. I am disputing with my credit card company. They charge you and then when you get to the Rental car pick up location, they charge you again. Priceline is a scammer company
I booked a flight via the Priceline Express deal, they initially told me the layover including the trip will be 10 hrs. After paying, when I checked the itinerary for a trip that was supposed to be around 5 hrs, it turned out to be 16 which would have caused me to arrive the next day. I decided to cancel it immediately and unfortunely I was required to pay either a fee or live with it as they told me. The question remains: why did they lie about the hours, something so small? My cousin was having the same problem with them. And reading some of the reviews, it's clear they've been doing that a lot. This is such a shame for a company that has been for years in this business. Also I decided later to compare the deal they gave me with fares from other companies and carriers, I was surprised to see Priceline actually charged me way more. So don't let them fool you with their Express deal, it's nothing than a crap deal that would not work for you for the most part. You can always pay less with other companies while choosing the hours that fit you best should you take some times to look around.
I booked a hotel with a whirlpool tub, but when checked in, no tub. The hotel was to discount the room but when I got the receipt from Priceline, it was full price. I have talked to Priceline and the hotel, but neither will help. Disappointing
They are absolute crooks, Do not do business with them unless you want your money stolen. They will change your flight after after charging you for it and not refund your money. They promise that the airline will refund it in a few days. Then all you get is a run around from
them.Worst of the worst.
I used priceline to rent a Hotel room in Pittsburgh for the weekend but after I did the reservation I realized it was for the wrong weekend so I clicked on the reservation page to change the date and it asked me to put my CC info again then proceeded to charge me for 2 weekends after deceiving me that all it was a date change. I called that awful company to cancel one of the weekends and they refused so they ended up charging me twice for one weekend stay, never do business with them again and I will spread the word on their crooked practices.
I booked a private 2 bedroom place with PL and the confirmation email info did not give the address or a host phone number. Then when I went to the Chat because I was out of the country they said there was nothing they could do it was through Booking.com there sister company and gave me a phone number. Mind you my phone charges heavy international fees. Long story short and about 2 hours of time I finally get the info I need to call the host. The host gave me the run around and then the morning of the stay says her current quest are staying and she is cancelling. Call Priceline/Booking they do nothing. Do not use these companies they do not stand behind anything.
I booked a Studio 6 reservation for the end of March. It came through for Feb. 18. I contacted them immediately to change or cancel the reservation. They could do nothing. Sent me an email that would not open that lead to phone numbers that did not work. Upshot: I had to pay for a room I never used. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!
I have been using them for a long time
I have been using them for a long time. But now i will never again. They stole my money for a hotel that is not even open. I drove 15 miles to a location that has been closed for a month according to the manager in the seen.
Really? I paid for specific seats on an American Airline flight on Priceline. Priceline has the money but their system does not show the seats; American Airlines has the information. Priceline transfers me to American Airline who tells me they have nothing to do with it. Then American Airline representative tells me I'm being disrespectful and hangs up on me. Really?
FIRED!
American Airlines this is why you are and will always be number two in the industry.
Priceline--quote the raven "Nevermore, nevermore!"
You can be stupid, both of you, I, however, cannot!
You will not get my money!
I have ground transportation in my package but long story short when I contacted the ground transportation company theres no reservation for me and priceline is not fixing this issue after being paid fully.
My recent experience with Priceline was horrible. I will never use Priceline again. There was a charge on my credit card for a reservation that was never confirmed. After I submitted my payment information for the flight, I got a message on my screen informing me the seat was no longer available at that price. However, the airline company charged my credit card and Priceline would not assist in getting a refund. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company.
They are not honoring the offers they are advertising on their website. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company.
I had an issue with my booking at Park Inn in Markham. Their scammy system was "down" and they were not able to adjust my check in time or provide me with a refund/cancellation as a result. They told me to take this up with Priceline.com but Priceline.com has terrible customer service as well. It took me weeks to finally get a response from them after following up every other day. They did not provide a refund or resolution at the end of it all. Be careful. Not a trusted website with poor customer resolution.
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
