Priceline Reviews Summary

The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. I booked a room for my rest on the trip for few hours and I mentioned clearly to the agent when I booked.
The agent confirmed me after contacting the hotel desk.
When I went at 1 pm for checking in, the front desk told me that she cant see any note in the booking and she said that I am not able to check in any earlier than 3 pm unless I pay any extra for earlier checking in.
I had to leave because there is no point to wait 2 hours in the lobby for my 2 hours rest in the room.
I called price line and some one told me that he will escalate the concern and his supervisor will call back to me, which did not happen as usual.

NEVER NEVER NEVER
April 11, 2023

Never rent through Priceline. The car rental never got our reservations and we were stuck for 4 hours. Makes the reservation again and they still never got it. The place was full of people with the same issues. Finally just got an Uber. Bad start to a vacation. You have been warned. NEVER NEVER NEVER

By far the worst experience/ scam of a car rental I have ever experienced! They advertise they are at DFW Airport. This is a complete lie. I went to the car center to only find out they were not located there, but 20 minutes away from the airport. So I had to call their main office to try to get there. I along with 20 other people who got scammed the same way i was on the Priceline Website. We were finally picked up. The driver was incredibly rude. We drove@ 20 minutes away from the airport through a subdivision and then an industrial park. We ended up at a sketchy building. The door said easi rental, but the building said it was a paint shop. So all of us go in hoping for answers, but we are greeted by an extremely rude worker. She had no name tag on so. I cannot include her name. I have rented many cars and this was like nothing I have ever experienced. They were asking for paper copies or digital copies of your insurance policies, company name, and your agents name. Of course, some tried to cancel and priceline did not allow cancelation. So we each had to wait quite a long time to try to get helped. The only bright spot was another older women finally came in, who helped me and she tried to be as helpful as possible. They did not have the car I rented, so I was given a car that looked like it had not been cleaned. I dropped my car back off and the same lady checked me out so i could get going to the airport. I explained i needed a ride back to the airport to catch my flight. She told me to go out and have the van driver take me. I went out to the van and said i understand that you can take me to the airport? It was the same rude women from the day before who said nothing, but rolled her eyes. I asked her if she would be dropping me off at my terminal. She said no. The car rental is as far as i take you, you will have to figure out how to get to your terminal. I hope the 20 other people experiencing this the same day I did, will also write this review. I will never purchase anything through Priceline again and avoid this rental company at all cost!

I'm still speechless
April 4, 2023

Thought this was a reputable website. Called at 10a because of an issue w our reservation. Ended up being on the phone till 1pm. 4 different customer service reps, 1 dropped call to supervisor and at least 4 lies/misinformation. One person directed me to the hotel to solve the issue. The hotel said I should have booked through them to not have the hassle. Called Priceline back and told they have no supervisor (haha), that the hotel were the bad guys and that they had emailed the hotel. The hotel said they don't get emails from Priceline. Lost my money and never using them again even if they were to give away hotel rooms.

I will never again use Priceline for booking flights. You're basically paying for "stand by" and good luck getting to your destination. Not only did my son get denied TWICE by the airlines for not having seats for him they refused to let me cancel and refund my money. He was stranded at the airport for over 10 hours by himself. I ended up having to buy another ticket from the actual airlines to get him home. This was the worst experience for a mother trying to get her son home.

I'm trying to cancel a reservation for a hotel for one week due to needed medical surgery that I have no choice to take and I will be down for three months and unable to drive anywhere. In the hotel has no problem refunding the money like others has but Priceline, of course is in the way of it alll. So medical reasons don't count for refunds. This company is SICK! So Priceline keeps the money that I paid for a hotel in amount but that's OK. I learned my husband and I are retired. I'll be damned if I am going to deal with that crappy company ever again, and I will spread that across the world! The reason they're staying in business is because they steal money from people who can't cancel for whatever reason and keep it! SCAMMERS RUN RUN RUN!

We spent two years planning and saving for a destination wedding in Iceland. Two days before leaving I see that there is an airline strike in Germany and all flights are canceled. We were supposed to change planes in Germany. I contact Priceline and they refuse to admit that the flight has been canceled. After an hour, two agents, and a supervisor they finally concede that my flight is canceled. However they refuse to book me on another airline and basically tell me that its between me and the airline to work out. So now I'm booking new flights for my fiancé and myself. However, I cant afford the extra cost of the tickets for our wedding party and officiant. So the best we can hope for at this point is to get there somehow and at least stay in the hotel we paid for. No wedding, really no honeymoon since we'll spend most of our money on a new flight. Two years of planning and dreaming wasted along with $15,000 in non refundable deposits. Thanks for doing literally nothing to help, Priceline.

Tried to get a car in Merida, Mexico. When Priceline sold it, all looked good, until I tried to get it from the rental company. It turned out I had to purchase an additional insurance. I refused, obviously along with the car. Now it is impossible to get the money back because "I had to cancel 24 hours prior to getting to know that". Ridiculous. My loss - $1400.

Vacasa review
Do not stay with Vacasa
This company is the worst I have experienced in 50 years

Vacasa will not return phone call, emails, and they will not give you a refund

I stayed at condo 3501 Marina Tower Waikiki

It is cockroach infected; in fact, the cleaning company told me the whole building is cockroach infected.

Vacasa never return my phone calls, emails, when the manager of the building requested Fred to exterminate the Cockroaches, Fred never showed up
Never showed up never phoned me, nothing!

Vacasa agents from all over the world just did nothing.
You will not get a refund, the cockroaches were everywhere in my bedding in my clothes, in my hair,
On my body, on my face at night

Bank of America Visa gave me a full refund
No thanks to Vacasa.
Or Priceline

Be careful booking thru Priceline. I don't see any active hotel review link. Just spent the night in an absolute dump. Place should be condemned or at least not offered to the travelling public in Fort Lauderdale. No pool, no elevator, property looked smelled horrible, undesirables everywhere, no lobby just a drive up transaction window. Web pictures are all lies. You get the idea. Drive past and keep going. Oh and there seems to be no way to get in touch with Priceline to get a potential refund.

Fraud no refund
March 16, 2023

Placed a one-day car rental reservation online through Priceline to pick up a car at the Vancouver BC Canada airport, and was charged $47.88. One hour later I found out that the ad was misleading, the car was not located at the airport for pickup but was located several miles away; that doesn't work for me. I immediately cancelled the reservation and was sent an email verifying the cancellation and stated that a refund would be issued within one business day. That never happened.

Over the past 2.5 weeks, I called my bank several times to verify that no refund was received, and I contacted Priceline several times, I was told that it's my bank's fault and I need to deal with them. I called Priceline again today, and was told that the only way they would refund my money is if I agreed to do a 3-way call to my bank with Priceline listening in on the phone call verifying the bank never received the refund. How gross and unprofessional is that? Probably even illegal! Anyways, they got that verification from my bank. Then Priceline told me that they would escalate my issue to their accounting department who will investigate? Sure thing…WHAT THAT REALLY MEANS IS THAT THEY STOLE MY MONEY AND HAVE NO INTENTION OF EVER REFUNDING IT! BEWARE! DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH THIS UNETHICAL COMPANY. Thank g-d I only lost $50.00, it could have been worse because after researching online, I learned that tens of thousands of consumers have also been robbed by Priceline…for a lot more money than $50.00.

The worst customer service ever
March 16, 2023

The worst customer service ever. I book a reservation via the Priceline site with an hotel in NYC. During my check out the hotel ask me for the resort fee that they collect by directly. I noticed their is a different of 80$ between what I should pay and what the hotel charge me (the same issue happened to my colleague).
I contacted Priceline, and after almost a month they still "trying" to solve the issue.
One of the worst customer service I ever got.
Never will use them again.

Extra charges.
March 15, 2023

I purchased a ticket to Germany on Priceline and the date was wrong. I called themI needed to change the date and the person said it was going to be a $900 difference for one day difference. She said I could cancel the flight for $300. I told her I would call her back after I looked up tickets. I called back and got a different girl and the charge went from $300 to $800 due to a tax. Not really believing that and I argued with her that the girl I talked to never talked about a tax. Well there went $800. I will never book with Priceline again and I have let family and friends aware as well.

They suck
March 15, 2023

On hold to get to talk to someone then put on hold again even though the automated found my reservation. Should not have taken so long and then told couldn't help any way because I prepaid so unable to make changes to my reservation even though I was only told they needed my credit card to hold my reservation not that it would be billed and that it would be nonrefundable! Very upset!

Never under any circumstances book a hotel that is non refundable. My costly mistake was believing the Priceline representative that the hotel he choose for me was in center city London, England. That was critical. Upon booking, I was no convinced so I called the hotel directly and they advised the hotel was actually a 40 minute train ride to center city London.
The lies and double speak caused me great anxiety, distress and ended up very costly. Please never ever, book a non refundable hotel. Life is unpredictable and you will regret the decision. I was a repeat customer of Priceline, but have decided to never, ever use them again. Be warned.
