Almost two weeks ago my daughter ordered a $45 meal using Postmates. Not only did they not deliver the meal, they did not refund her money. She and I have tried several times to get the Postmates to refund the money. It's almost impossible to get through to them. After trying in vain for over a week this was the response my daughter got: " While we understand that this wasn't the experience you were hoping for, we are unable to provide a refund/compensation for this order. We know this isn't the answer you were expecting but thank you for your understanding."

Down loaded postmates because of 50% off first five orders. I then placed my order promo code rejected. Postmates then tells you this is only for delivery service. With their fees my order came to be 3 dollars less than original amount. The promo from postmates is a scam that takes money from local stores in the area. Becuase you started out shady Will not use this app ever.
My first experience with Postmates - Ordered my food at 7:03 pm through Postmates from Shake Shack (3790 Las Vegas Blvd) and upgraded to priority deliver for an additional cost. After calling the driver 3 times (Lost and confused) I receive my order only having to walk down the street to find him. I got my food at 8:40 pm (Cold fries and the burger was a bite size because it was cold and shriveled. NEVER again will I order through Postdates. I threw my order out - A $#*! Show Delivery mechanism with untrained drivers - Don't order in from Postmates - unreliable and worthless. Go dine out and get the food Hot - Sucked
So apparently POSTMATES has a contract with Walmart to do grocery delivery. Well, it has been my experience on 3 occasions from POSTMATES/Walmart home delivery, that POSTMATES hires incompetent drivers! They are supposed to deliver orders to front doors, knock & leave. But those 3 times, my orders were left on the sidewalk, in a lobby & not delivered at all. The pictures I have received stating "order delivered" is proof of the idiots NOT doing their jobs.
Postmates is the worst delivery company on the planet. I scheduled a large order for employees a day before. They charged me hundreds of dollars but the restaurants never got the order. I tried to contact them before hand to explain the issue but they never got back to me. Now I have to pay hundred and hundreds of dollars for meal penalty. A rip company with terrible customer service. Save your self the stress and use DoorDash, Uber eats or any other delivery or pick up service.
Make sure if there is a problem with your food when ordering through Postmates/Uber that you take a picture. I've had problems with Postmates before, for some reason they would always take the food to the wrong house and I would have to watch the map like a hawk to make sure they delivered it to the right address. Yesterday we thought we would try it again and ordered food.
We were missing a side and the catfish was raw. I sent a help request detailing this and there was nowhere to attach a picture so I didn't bother, the food went in the trash.The support team contacts me 20 hours later to ask if I can send them a picture. I explain that I cannot. Apparently, it is their policy to not adjust orders without a picture that matches the issue. So, I basically spent $10.55 for french fries and tartar sauce. I could probably live with that, I should have taken a pixture. The communication, however, with this company is like speaking with a robot. They give you generic responses and after several back and forth emails, because another policy of theirs is to keep everything in email, I am back at square one with them asking me to send a picture of my order so they can further assist me. I recommended they change the app to require a picture when submitting help requests or to make that policy more clear, but I think I just wasted my time. If you read this far than my advice is don't bother with this company.
It's an amazing app to the point where I don't have to go out and get my food my food can be brought to me.
We received someone's order not ours and it was a cheaper one. No contact with the driver. AVOID!
I will never use this service again! My bill was $38 dollars---after Postmates fees it was $20 higher! They tacked on a $9.00 service fee plus a buck delivery fee. $9.00 service fee for what? I tipped the delivery guy $6.00---who gets the $9.00 service fee? Bet its not the restaurant. Terrible
My first time using Google's Postmates will be my last. They didn't deliver the full order so a single order of spring rolls cost me $15.74. They then charged me again, this time for $19.74 for nothing. The receipt indicated the charge was temporary but it still shows up in my bank statement. What other delivery service does this? I made no second order. So I'm out almost $40 for two spring rolls that cost $4.95! When I contacted the help app. The person was unhelpful, and when I asked for a phone number he said they didn't have one. This was the last time I will ever patronize a restaurant that uses Postmates.
I will never use postmates again. I had a very rude and unsafe delivery person and reported him and found the company could care less. I am very worried this driver will come back to my house and stalk or damage something on my property. I do not feel the company takes responsibility or screens their delivery employees. There are other services for food delivery use them for your safety.
1) They put a hold on your account. In all fairness so does Instacart, but Instacart's clears out immediately. Theirs lasts for days.
2) Their solution to this is Uber cash which likely makes them MORE money so it's possibly a ploy to get you to get Uber cash.
3) They will apply a coupon to your order so it is a lesser amount and then pull it. In my case they had take $41 out, had it on hold, then charged me $53. They said the coupon was not applicable to the order but then they shouldn't have applied it at the point of sale.
4) Finding help for this in the application is super difficult as you have to first FIND the specific area for the complaint. They have a lot of choices but when you have anything that doesn't fall into those choices, too bad.
5) They ask for an insane amount of information when they email you about the request. It makes it seem like a) they don't know what they are doing and don't have any records to refer to, b) they are humiliating you for having a complaint, and c) they are trying to get some NPI data from you so they can steal more money from you.
6) They then blame the bank for the low turnaround on the hold, which is hard to believe as many delivery companies DO NOT use a hold, and the ones that do don't hold onto the money for days. In this way, it feels like gaslighting the consumer.
7) Any company that treats CUSTOMERs this badly MUST be terrible to EMPLOYEES. Not only are they holding my money for DAYS -- and overcharging me for an order, and making help hard to get, and gaslighting me when I complain, but I really have to doubt that they are really ethical in regards to their employees. I hope they go out of business and their workers all get better paying jobs at nicer companies.
FINALLY THERE ARE MANY OPTIONS for delivery. I don't need Postmates. So I'm thinking, hmm, the executive leadership must be short sighted for having such a terrible customer service model. Or else they are money launderers or something, TRYING to lose money on purpose. For whatever reason, this is not a good company. I hope you also have many options in your area because this one isn't even worth a try.
Postmates is scan - please do not use this to order anything. They will take the funds from your account and will not forward the order to the merchant as such, you will not get the product. They have the worst customer service I have experienced in my life. Only online customer service help and wait time is about 2hrs. Worst of all the customer service will ot resolve any issues but only apologize and state that their system is down. I'm still waiting on my refund for a purchase from June. RUN
I am just frustrated and angry at this point but in a nutshell I approached Postmates support over a meal I didn't get that cost me $75.55 and they just don't want to deal with it. I spent 3 days jumping through their hoops that led nowhere and when I told them that I was tired of the runaround and just wanted my refund they just stopped communication. I checked on them on the Better Business Bureau and saw that they have almost 8000 complaints already! Steer clear of Postmates or Uber! (Same company!)
Got a message that my order was ready but 20 minutes later it's still not ready. This was a pickup order.
The drivers are not responsible for anything. So you get what you get and if it's not right, you get to correct it. These $#*!s charge three different charged to being you half your order. They refund you the tip. The freaking tip that I didn't even add due to the other 2 fees. Service fee is 6.62 plus a delivery fee of 3.25. A delivery person tip fee of 4.51. They refunded me what they stole from me. 4.51.
They charged almost $60 to deliver the food. A driver tip, a delivery fee, and a service fee, then the driver steals half the food. He was supposed to deliver to my room at the Rittenhouse, but left the food at the reception desk. He had my phone number, but chose to not call, and let me know food was downstairs. Thankfully the restaurant replaced the stolen food. I will never use postmates again.
Thats twice I have food items missing and no one to contact to get money back for missing items! Stopping pymt now!
Answer: I got charged twice instead of once. For my delivery now that they made a mistake and didn't take care of it I'll never use postmate ever again
Answer: They Don't answer you back until after 5 days so that they can say "Unfortunately we will not give you your money back because we only issues refunds if the claim is made in a timely manner" horrible company
Answer: Their app has all type of glitches and issues they did the very same to me I didn't even sign up for their free trial but I am now having to dispute a charge of 95.88 on my account. I was charged for orders I never got and also I reached out to them multiple times never got anything back. They actually put on the app that the order was resolved when I have never spoken to them this company is a fraud and I do not know why they are still in business! I'd say remove your card information.
