I ordered 2 meals plus an appetizer. The appetizer and 1 entree were burnt so badly that the were not edible. I had to throw them out and my husband and I shared the other entree. I was given a credit of $6. Both the restaurant and Postmates made $$$ off of me for food I couldn't eat. Plus, our order was about 20 min late. It's really bad business. I'm sticking to Door Dash. Their customer service is the best.
Got charged for food that was never delivered, and the customer service sent me the most annoying email saying "to keep everyone happy we will still charge you for the meal"
I would just say ditto to EVERY review of this company. Nothing about food or delivery. Charges are 40 to 50% higher than quoted. Totally fraudulent! Consumer BEWARE!
I have used Postmates on several occasions along with my co-workers. We have never had any issues until now. Order my food, wait an hour. Driver gets to my building, says she is here. I text her my Suite number as I always do. No answer, she leaves. No communication, no nothing because her lazy $#*! didn't want to get out of the vehicle. Postmates has no phone number, no email to contact them just a help feature to which I get an email that says sorry YOU missed your order but that the driver waiting five minutes and the food is already paid for sorry. Oh NO! So, three emails later still no response. And they have kept my money, no food! I bet the deliver driver ate it and said she delivered it. For the amount we pay in delivery charges service should be better. Posting a blast on FB as well!
They took 95.88 out of my account when I never had a subscription with them I downloaded the app placed an order when the driver came half the order was missing. The driver seemed intoxicated and when I tried to contact the driver the app wouldn't let me. I tried to contact their customer service they never answered but they marked the order resolved when I never spoke to them. I wrote them three emails as they do not have a phone number they never reached back to me and continued to charge my account. My bank placed a stop payment and I was told that they modified their name to take more money out of the account now my debit card is closed and my bank has to mail me a new one and now I have to wait to pay my rent I have never been so livid and disgusted in my life with a company I cannot understand how this company is still in business. Do not use this app. Also they've charged me for orders I never got and whats so crazy all the orders are from the same restaurant. I also removed my card information and deleted the app but somehow they still have my information. Now I can't access my money and now have to wait to pay my bills until a new card comes in because of these disgusting individuals. I'm going to be reporting the to the better business bureau. Not only am I disputing that charge but 4 other charges! I have two toddlers that constantly need diapers and all kinds of stuff but now me and my kids are in a pickle because of a crook company names Postmates!
Postmates charged my card 100$ on day when I did not even order food. Despite the fact that this is illegal, they did not even provide an explanation for this. I highly recommend people NOT use their service. They will perform unauthorized charges on your account, and their customer service is highly unprofessional. I have never left a review for a restaurant or delivery service. But this was so bad that I had to.
I went on my first run and right after I picked up the food and went to find out where I was supposed to take it, the app crashed and locked up on my. No support phone number and no way to get the customers information. I don't know what to do with the food and the poor customer isn't getting to eat... I picked it up over an hour ago and am totally out of options. Pissed me off. Why don't they have a Customer services number! Ridiculous!
Absolutely horrible customer service. When they deliver the wrong order, you're stuck with it. Use any other delivery service but this if you want to eat.
I ordered through Postmates previously and had a few issues with them overcharging me so I stopped using them! Decided to give them a second chance and that was a mistake! Ordered from restaurant really close to my house and noticed $8.99 service charge additional to $ 5.99 delivery fee. The customer service explanation was that the restaurant is not a part of their network so that's why the fee. Nowhere does it mention it on their website about it or the service fee. The receipt was included from the restaurant and there was not any additional charges. I feel a little deceived by them and of course they will not refund the charge! Be careful with this service! Delivery was on time and the order was correct!
Sometimes things go wrong. It happens. When it does, I expect good customer service that tries to rectify the problem. I've used GrubHub & DoorDash for a while with few, but some problems. With both services, as soon as I spoke to a rep about any issue I had, it was either resolved, I was refunded, or given a credit. Even all of the above in some circumstances.
The FIRST time I used Postmates I had a major issues with my order, and even though it wasn't my fault (restaurant out of items, etc) I was charged EXTRA for delivery! There were other problems with the food/order as well, but the details don't matter. What matters is: I was $#*!ed around so hard through multiple avenues of customer service that I will NEVER use them again! And that they gave me the run around on purpose so they could blame me for being past the 48 hour deadline of complaints! I contacted them immediately, not past the dead line! They told me to call this number, and email here... The only response I received asked me to "further explain the problem"; which I also did immediately. After that, nothing. When I emailed again days later to ask why no one had gotten back to me, they said it was too late. When I argued the ludicracy of that, they sent one more response repeating "Sorry, it's past the 48 hour deadline." Then no response what so ever to any of my following attempts.
I'm not that hard to please. I want exactly what I pay for, and good customer service when issues pop up. That's all! NEVER will a company get repeat service from me when they treat their customers the way Postmates does!
DoorDash is great. GrubHub is a close second (only because the selection of restaurants in my area is smaller). Use them instead.
So basically one of the worst f-ing apps i've ever got. Sure it's good in terms of how it looks but it's taken $32 out my account when the meal came to $23! Delivery is $11 when the restaurant is a 10 min drive from me and it's ridiculous. They've over charged me and taken way more money than they needed ($10 more) and it's honestly outrageous. I had to cancel the order and i still haven't got my money back. SMH!
TOOK MY MONEY, DID NOT DELIVER FOOD, AND THEN TOLD ME IT WAS MY FAULT. I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB. CROOKS.
I am beyond disappointed with my experience. I ordered pizza and they delivered me a salad. When I complained they apologized and refunded my money, however I never got the pizza I ordered! Do they not consider wasting my time valuable? I had ordered pizza from this restaurant other times and the delivery was disappointing as well. Once the delivery guy was on a motorcycle and therefore couldn't carry a pizza box so he gave me the pizza in 3 different containers with the slices on top of each other. Another time the pizza was carried on its side so when I opened the box it was completely smashed to the side. SUPER disappointing service, I have given them multiple chances and will not put up with this anymore. Deleting the app now.
I placed an order well before closing time. Their drivers passed the order around until it was after closing time for thr restaurant. Postmates had no way of making up for their lack of service. Seems like they enjoy taking advantage of their customers.
I was billed $86 dollars for a $27 food order then came in complete (5 items ordered, 1 order missing, 1 order incorrect). The website says I would be refunded 27 dollars in 2 days for the overcharge; bringing the bill down to 54 dollars for 27 dollars worth of food. But what about the missing and incorrect items you ask? The restaurant said call postmates who has no phone number. Their complaint/response email link (I filed 4 complaints in a 2 hour period, none were responded to) is the only way to contact them and they do not respond. The drivers phone was first disconnected then on a second try he hung up. This company is a fraud. I immediately contacted my credit card company to initiate a dispute
I thought I would use my little money for a pizza on Saturday for my grandchild visiting knowing I would get paid on Tuesday. About an hour later the delivery person called me and said he gave my order to another person that ordered from the same restaurant so my $16 order was cancelled and I had a $40 hold on my account that was not released until I called the credit card company Tuesday which meant I was not able to order anything else because of the hold. All I received was a message from Postmates stating my delivery was "damaged" and I wouldn't be charged?
My order was for $41 and change. They held my card for $51 and change. AFTER the food arrived, I was shown my updated receipt, which reveals $67+. They are absolute thieves. I mean really, an over $26.00 difference?
Unless you like overpaying, receiving cold food, waiting an hour for your food, and having a ridiculous "hold" of $50 put on your card, don't order through Postmates. Horrible service.
Twice now they have pre authorized my card for $50+ each time for a $10 Starbucks order I placed for my daughter who's a freshman in Highschool. With no Their fees, business practices and policies are completely out of line. I will no longer utilize their services. Period
I ordered my family's dinner and 50 MINUTES later I received a text that CANCELLED my order because "no Postmates were available" to complete my order! REALLY? IT TOOK 50 min. To figure that out.
I'll NEVER use them again. GrubHub has NEVER let me down so I'm going back to what works.
Answer: I got charged twice instead of once. For my delivery now that they made a mistake and didn't take care of it I'll never use postmate ever again
Answer: They Don't answer you back until after 5 days so that they can say "Unfortunately we will not give you your money back because we only issues refunds if the claim is made in a timely manner" horrible company
Answer: Their app has all type of glitches and issues they did the very same to me I didn't even sign up for their free trial but I am now having to dispute a charge of 95.88 on my account. I was charged for orders I never got and also I reached out to them multiple times never got anything back. They actually put on the app that the order was resolved when I have never spoken to them this company is a fraud and I do not know why they are still in business! I'd say remove your card information.
