First and last time using their services. Figured we'd try them out for a pizza delivery over using SB Menus or just picking it up ourselves. Basically, their listed prices are a total scam. What should've been a $35 delivery magically turned into a $70 order the next day after a ton of fees that were not listed anywhere?! So, if you love getting ripped off and enjoy surprise fees, this is the delivery service for you. If not, use something else.
On 4 occasions now i have not recieved food and i was still charged. They have taken 130 dollars from me and refuse to pay me back even though i did not recive the product i paid for.
My husband and I always try to give Postmates a try by using their app and using their service however time after time something goes wrong and when we actually reach out to them they with all their power try to find some sort of justification for why we've have the horrible experience. I guess they never heard about the customer is always right. I think we've finally reached the point where they get no more chances from us and a bad review to top it off. This app/delivery service is not worth the time of you want to eat in time
After waiting so long and not seeing any change aside from the delivery time getting pushed further and further out, I had to cancel not one but two orders. Still, I was charged for them. This company is not worth your time or money. It is expensive as well.
Sometimes have items missing from my order and I have to contact them to refund me. The prices on their site for items are not the actual prices so the final total is usually at least $10+ more than the "estimated total". The services fees they charge are ridiculous and they try to hide them behind a single "tax and service" fee while ALSO charging a separate delivery fee, so you're likely paying an additional $15+ on top of the food order. I waited an hour for my delivery only to find out it was cancelled - probably because I missed a phone call from the driver that one item I wanted wasn't available. They should've continued with the rest of my order (the total order multiple items and was over $60!) and just subtracted the unavailable one, but instead the driver cancelled completely. So unreliable! You're better off picking up your own food or directly calling a restaurant that delivers! No added connivence with Postmates - more like added headaches!
This is the worst service i have driven for i took some deliveries then all of a sudden my account was suspended reached out to customer servive an there is nobody to speak with only email and when they reply its a automated response and on top of that it never let me cash out the money i did make
Have not been able to order. Account suspended for no reason. Attempted to use multiple payment methods and even created a new account and paid for Post mates unlimited BS.
Customer service is a joke.
They wont make amends for any errors. Not worth the risk. I noticed my order was incorrect right away but as there is no phone number I was only able to call the restaurant who advised me to contact postmates. I send an email but they didnt respond for an hour, by that time I placed another order to get the items I was missing, that took another hour, by then my original order was cold.
They refused to compensate me in any way except to credit me back for one of the missing items.
After many email exchanges it was clear they were not going to do anything to correct this error or compensate me for the inconvenience in anyway.
Complete disappointment.
I got a coupon to wave the delivery fee, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered 6.50 worth of food, and the final total was 12.00ish with with taxes and restaurant fees (high but whatever). Well overnight I got an alert from bank account and fount out the cost had been updated overnight, adding a "service fee" (total BS). I was ultimately charged 16.86 for the order! BTW the delivery charge would have been 5.99, meaning they would regularly charge 22.85 for a 6.50 meal BEFORE TIP (which I did $2 cash). This service is $#*!ed; there are way better delivery options out there.
The last two times Ive ordered from restaurants the food has been all screwed up messed up spilled all over the bags and everything else Every time Ive contacted their customer service they say were sorry theres nothing we can do about the food whether its bad its good or whatever its not our fault so oh well course thats laymans terms but thats the gist of what they told me I have deleted my account deleted my credit cards from the account and will never use this service again they suck big time and they charged me $40 this morning for a breakfast I ordered oh my God Im going to dispute it with my credit card company and I am so done with these liens scammers dont use post mates.com all of the other services are legit these guys are horrible and all they want is your cash.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I placed an order that was never delivered. When I reached out to customer service, they don't me since the delivery guy had attempted calling me and I didn't pick up, that it was my fault, so they would charge me the full amount of the order, including delivery fees. The point is, I was home the entire time and i was expecting a knock on my door not a phone call. Why didn't they attempt actually delivering the food to my address? And how can they charge me if they didn't? This is a SCAM. STAY AWAY!
I ordered my food last night through the app.
1. It took them 25 minutes to contact me to tell me the order was being canceled.
2. The driver called me from the restaurant she was picking up from to tell me when she got there they were closed.
3. My total bill after fees (I'll get back to them in a second), taxes, and food was $28.55; yet they charged my card more than $35.00.
4. Fees: They hide a "service charge" in the "taxes and fees" line during the checkout process that most people don't catch (This is in addition to the delivery fee). So people are paying upwards of $11.00 + tax in addition to the cost of there food and don't even know it. You have to click on the small i next to "taxes and fees" by the total before you hit pay in the app.
5. When I contacted them about it they basically gave a half-cocked apology and did not offer to make it right even though this was my first time ordering with them.
Poor customer service and for what they are charging for the service the logistics are terrible.
Two hours ago I decided to try Postmates and have Chick-fila delivered. After waiting an hour, the Postmate neither came to my door or even found the lobby of my apartment. When I dared miss the call, after returning it 30 seconds later, they took my food, left, and charged me the full $48 for the delivery. I got no food (someone else did, I suppose and got to eat my dinner?) and they didnt find me. Never, NEVER in my life have I been thus treated. I dont usually YELP or write reviews but DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, EVER, EVER
Long story short.
My order cost $31, after tax and this "service fee" i was charged, it brought it to $41. I had a coupon for free delivery, delivery fee was waived but there is still that service fee. Now they took $49 out of my account, because there is a transaction hold, where they charge you more and refund the extra $9 they took out.
I ordered my food, and had a delivery time for 9 pm, around 9 I get a call from the driver and he gave the phone to the restaurant because they had to confirm my order due to the horrible options on the app. Everything was confirmed from the restaurant, and the driver said he would be on his way shortly... another hour later at 10 I text the driver to see whats going on, beacuse i live not even 6 minutes from the resturant and dont understand how it could been taking a whole hour. He then replies that he ALMOST got in an accident and had to slam on the brakes so the food went everywhere and was no longer able to deliver. It took ME reaching out to the driver to finally get that status, he would have just never let me know.
So not only are the prices and options on the app horrible, or the ridiculous additional fees on the order... but the food was never brought to me.
My account was hacked. My password was changed and items were ordered. I notified Postmates as soon as I found out but of course, they are only available via email - 6 hours later and waiting for someone to contact me. Cancelled my credit card so no more charges - but what crappy customer service. Glad I can start using Uber eats now.
Ordered 10 times. 3 of the 10 times, the orders had a problem. One overhandled dinner spilled in the bag. Second time, got someone's else's food. Last time, today, ordered 4 burritos and they only delivered one. Left starving and stuck on location, I tried to reach out to POSTMATES looking for a quick solution that would get us fed. Hours later, they called. When I reviewed the bill, they made sure to charge me for full delivery and service charge. When speaking to the rep, I couldn't have been nicer. She could care less about our breakfast, or any part of the customer service issues, overcharges etc.
All three times, POSTMATES charged for DELIVERY and SERVICE CHARGE profiting on their mistakes.
Each time, I was given the same dumb answers.
In the end, postmates gets their money, even if they didn't do their job.
Apparently the postmates drivers have credit carda and the cards are declining yes still showing the payment on my credit card
Postmates has repeatedly messed up orders of mine and coworkers. I work in a large company And our lunches usually fall on the same time. We have tried ordering from postmates on multiple occasions. Not ONE time have they successfully gotten an order correct. They show up with complete orders missing, or sometimes they dont show at all. Today I placed an order for the team and postmates sent me a notification saying our was being picked up and 20 mins later they sent another notification saying it couldnt be delivered. I recieve a call 5-10 minutes after apologizing and saying a credit would be applied and to reorder. I logged out and logging back in no credit and when trying to reorder it stated no post mates are close enough to place your order this app is complete trash. Ive never received customer service this terrible. If I could put zero stars I would. I recommend sticking with Uber eats or door dash if they are available options to you. Postmates should not even be considered as an option. They CAN guarantee to mess up your order and leave things out.
Pre-ordered lunch today, got a page, that appeared to be a confirmation that my order was placed, waited and waited, no lunch! Emailed to follow up on why no order, was advised they had no record of one being placed. Sent them a copy of my receipt, was advised, Sorry, that is not a confirmation of order, "with screenshot provided shows that your order was never placed. This order wasn't fully checked out. We apologize for the mix-up and we hope this helps." From my end, it appeared it was fully placed, it showed they receipt of what was charged and to what account. Not to mention that I tried to place an order yesterday and was told my card was invalid and I addressed that with them and they stated, there wasn't enough in the account to cover the pre-authorization. I said, unless the pre-authorization was more than $200 there should not have been a problem and got absolutely no response! Are you kidding me! Needless to say, now my lunch hour is over and I had no lunch! With just a gee, golly, I'm sorry! Will never use postmates again!
Answer: I got charged twice instead of once. For my delivery now that they made a mistake and didn't take care of it I'll never use postmate ever again
Answer: They Don't answer you back until after 5 days so that they can say "Unfortunately we will not give you your money back because we only issues refunds if the claim is made in a timely manner" horrible company
Answer: Their app has all type of glitches and issues they did the very same to me I didn't even sign up for their free trial but I am now having to dispute a charge of 95.88 on my account. I was charged for orders I never got and also I reached out to them multiple times never got anything back. They actually put on the app that the order was resolved when I have never spoken to them this company is a fraud and I do not know why they are still in business! I'd say remove your card information.
