Multiple incidents of theft

I ordered from postmates this morning at one of the restaurants listed in their 'party' section, where they offer free delivery for 5 minutes. I placed my order, and got a confirmation from them, and my card was charged. 10 min later, postmates cancelled my order stating the restaurant was closed. They're offering this place in their 'party' section that states it's open. They also said, I wasn't charged $52 which I was. It has not been refunded. This is not the first time this happened. So, I called the restaurant to see if they were open, and they were open. So, postmates just cancelled my order for no reason, and stole my money. The last of my money too. So, now I can't even get something else to eat. They have done this once before, and I still haven't seen that refund of $62. (Which at the time, was also the last of my money too.) it's well over their 1-3 business days they claim it takes to refund your money. I feel like if they can take your money immediately, they should be able to just cancel the charge and refund immediately. Customer service told me they sent the refunds, and to call my bank. The bank can't do anything because postmates hasn't refunded it. It's a lie. I've also had issues with other orders in the past with entirely wrong items. Postmates says they'll refund the items, and that never happened either. Roughly another $30 they stole. Again, I inquire about my refund and they tell me take it up with my bank. The bank again says they can't do anything because postmates never refunded they money. Due to Covid, I've unfortunately had to rely on food delivery services. I'm done with postmates for good. They're thieves, they straight up just stole my money, and won't do anything to resolve these issues. They have the worst customer service. I've documented all of this with screen caps, and saved emails. Anyone, have any ideas on how to get my money back from these thieves?

You won't get your food

Two horrible experiences in less than a week. First, the postmate didn't call when they arrived and just left. The order was to a building with multiple entrances, so they must have gone to a different entrance and instead of trying to contact me, they simply left. Second, I placed an order that was supposed to arrive around 9pm. It kept saying the order was delayed at the merchant. 35 minutes later, still "delayed at the merchant." Now, this order was for fries and desserts. That doesn't take long to make. And it's a weekday during a pandemic. Most restaurants are not bustling right now. I phoned the restaurant and they said my order had been ready, waiting to be picked up, for at least 30mins. Can I cancel the order on postmates? No, because I would be charged. Even though I sent an issue notification. Horrible, terrible service.

Estimate of food?

So postmates now charges first an estimate of how much your food will be and then after your food is delivered, charges another amount for a crazy amount! When I agree to pay for something, the amount I agree to is how much I'll pay. It is not LEGAL to then come back and re charge another amount because you are giving an estimate of the price! Especially with no warning. Who gives an estimate for food delivery! That is very illegal!

I do not want this automated response. Let's be clear. The night before I ordered starbucks to be delivered to a friend who has a daughter who was having a tough time with COVID and studying. Then a hour before it was due to be delivered Postmates cancelled the order. I redid the order with a do it "ASAP". The order was taken and then after the time that the food was to be delivered I saw that the icon was not moving. So I called Starbucks and they said they did not get an order under my name. They also told me that they have repeatedly had problems with customers calling and no order being placed when ordered with Postmates. Here is the kicker for your business. They told me to use Uber Eats because there are less problems. I cancelled my order. Now it was too late to give the gift... Thanks Postmates... Now you have the audacity to charge me the cancellation fee when you never placed the order and twice never showed up. Credit me the $3.99 immediately or I will cancel the Postmates app. I have also posted this email on various websites so people can see my frustration.

Absolute scam - do not use

My food waited at the restaurant for over two hours and never arrived. Do not waste your time and money on Postmates. It's impossible to get a hold of anyone and the estimated delivery times are worthless.

I order from a local sushi place with a confirmation email at 4:47. Order was to be delivered at 5:50. When the order didn't arrive at that time the app says "Merchant needed a little more time preparing your order." I called the merchant. 30 minutes after my supposed deliver time the merchant said they still didn't even have my order. Wish I could have given 0 stars.

Ordered from a restaurant, received wrong order. Called restaurant to complain and was told "the guy said you wanted blah blah blah". Some guy said? Here Im thinking that what was ordered on my screen(fried chicken) was displayed or printed out at the restaurant. Not so evidently. That is a crappy way of doing things. Plus, I suggested to the owner that they get a different service because the menu was perhaps worded wrong and the owner berated ME and said I should call them direct next time. WTF? Wont be using Postmates nor ordering from this restaurant again.

Don't order from Postmates

I ordered thru their app and they gave me updates on my order and even said it was ready for pickup. The restaurant said they did not even have an order for me and they had tried repeatedly to get postmates off their website. Postmates refuses to give me my money back.

I ordered my food at 11:23am! I called the store when my food wasn't delivered by the expected delivery time, and they said they could not do anything about it because it was already processed by Postmates! I tried contacting postmates through email and got one email back about how they have to investigate the situation! Here it is 5 days later and nothing else? I have emailed them back several times with no reply! The $52 charge has already been posted to my account! And I had to throw away the cold $#*! food when it was finally deliverers to me! Also, the driver who delivered it says he was not even notified of the order until 1:30 then it took him another hour to deliver it! I only live 15 minutes from the restaurant if you are driving really slow! VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Didn't receive my food
September 8, 2020

I'll be deleting this app. I was unable to contact my driver because they marked the order as delivered. I went to either side of my apartment, but was unable to see an Uber driver. This featured should not allowed until the person who ordered the food signs off as having received said food.

The fact that you won't refund my money shows me that this behavior that you accept and/or you don't care enough about me or other customers' time and money. I regret trying to spend money with your organization a second time after not receiving the order the first time.

When you pick up your order, and you arrived at the restaurant, sometime, they closed, sometime their system down, you contact live support, order got cancelled, you won't get paid a dime for your time and your gas. Postmate are SUCK

I was sent a promo code on Wed., used on Thurs., it disappeared off of the order, I've tried for days to get the $5.99 credit, and they won't credit. Also, Postmates driver ate a piece of food off of my order.
Customer Service doesn't care about either issue. DO NOT USE POSTMATES!

Canceled order
September 7, 2020

Postmates driver was late and they ended up canceling my order. When it was ready for pickup but the driver was late getting there. I am disabled and unable to drive so THANK YOU POSTMATES, I will go hungry. Since the funds in my account are held up for 3 days.

NEVER AGAIN! 0 STARS

I ordered from the restaurant's website for delivery. Postmates pick up my order and didnt deliver my food. Since the order was place via the restaurant's website and I dont have an actual Postmates account (and NEVER will after this experience), Postmates told me to deal with the restaurant. The restaurant says that once the order is picked, it is out of there hands. The delivery driver is NOT employed by the restaurant. The restaurant made the food-- they did their part without issue. So instead of Postmates stepping up and taking responsibility for their driver, they think the customer needs to deal directly with the restaurant. Even though the restaurant has no control over the delivery or the driver... how does that make any sense?

This was my first experience with postmates. After 45 minutes of waiting for my delivery, I happily received notification it would be delivered in 12 minutes. After waiting 20 minutes after that and no sign of it, I called the restaurant and they confirmed it had been picked up. I continued to wait and tried multiple times to email postmates and to call/text the driver. After another 40 minutes, I gave up and cancelled the order. I was still charged for it even thought at this point I questioned whether the food would even still be edible when/if it arrived. I contacted the company for a refund and was told my $ would be refunded but another person said the charge was justified! I did straighten that out; however, 2 1/2 hours after placing my order, I still had not eaten lunch and a big chunk of my day was gone. This is NOT a professional organization. I understand that things happen in the real world over which they have little control, but they did not respond promptly when I expressed concern about my order being extremely late and they defaulted to charging me, which I think is pretty egregious.

I ordered an on-line pick up order that somehow linked to Postmates, although I do not have an account. I spent nearly hour attempting to cancel the order how their website wouldn't allow me to cancel. I never picked up an order or had a Postmates order delivered. They refused to refund my money! I was literally ripped off by Postmates

Postmates are Robbers!

Postmates owes me 400$! They never paid me for the week and it's been a month and this is the page they give you to scam you out of your money. There is no way to talk to a human and all of their customer service is computer generated that takes you to a dead end.

Completely uncaring

My review is based on more than one experience. My food arrived cold and completely inedible. I had to buy a different lunch. The food was cold and congealed thus making it impossible to eat. Why was it cold, because the driver took 35 minutes to go the 2 miles from 8109 E 74th Pl, Tulsa, OK ******* the closest Taco Bell to my work Ashley Homestore on 71st. A trip less than 2 miles took 30 minutes. I asked to not be charged for the food I could not eat and was denied. How can it take 30 minutes to go less than 2 miles?

Horrible

Don't recommend. If you want to wait hours for your food this is a great app. Then you cant even contact anyone in reference to where your food is at. Door dash way better
