I ordered food from a restaurant. It was supposed to be delivered between 12:30 and 1 PM. I ordered it at 11 AM. They pre-authed the debit card for the full amount, $38 including their exorbitant fees. At 12:15 I get an email "whoops, we had to cancel your order" with no explanation, and "don't worry - we didn't charge your card" which is a lie! They suck.

The Drivers for PostMates in Las Vegas are not trustworthy. We ordered a large family meal last night from El Pollo Loco. The driver posted that he delivered it and we never got it. PostMates customer service said they don't show any order, which is false. As a matter of fact, the driver that supposedly delivered the order is named Chris. I'm sure he and his family had a nice dinner last night. Mine sure didn't. Now, I have to jump through hoops to get the restaurant to refund my money and if that doesn't work, then to contest it through my bank. DO NOT USE POSTMATES for food delivery.

Needs a note section

I am a little disappointed in postmates because when I order food I can not put any special notes for the restaurant or driver. At my mothers she's in a gated community and we can't give any directions on how to get in or what to do. I hope this issue is fixed soon so the orders can be more convenient for people. I also wish for the ability to have the notes because I can't eat mayonnaise so after ordering I have to call the restaurant and request for them to not put it on my order.

ORDER MESS UP

IM SO TIRED OF ORDERING FOOD AND WORK AND THE ORDER IS ALWAYS MESSED UP AND THEN ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS CREDIT THE ACCOUNT LIKE I NEED MY FOOD THEN REORDER AND HAVE TO PAY FEES AND TAXES ALL OVER OVER AGAIN SMFH Y'ALL NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER SOMETHING MISSING FROM ORDER HAVE SOMEONE PICK UP MISSING ITEMS NOT INCONVENIENCE THE CUSTOMER

Total Scam, Robbed

Total scam and robbed. We've tried ordering from Postmates twice and the first time the order arrived an hour late, cold, and inedible. We deleted the app and said never again. We decided to give it another shot a few days ago and the order was completely messed up. Asked for a chicken curry and instead, 3 pieces of fried chicken showed up - difference of $12 and not at all what we ordered (nor did we eat it). The Postmates app didn't let us report an issue, as the screen wouldn't let us submit on any platform at all. Finally today, we found a back way on the site to get customer service and they said they can't do anything since it wasn't reported within 24 hrs. We even had a time-stamped screenshot to show that we tried to submit multiple times! The screenshot made it easier to troubleshoot different browsers to see if the issue of not being able to submit was our own. This company is a scam and it's a shock they are still in business when ubereats and doordash seem far more reliable. They may as well not even have a customer service department... And perhaps they don't and we're all just getting auto responses of "tough luck."

Post mate drivers steal your food say they came and dont. You contact postmate via email they send you these corny auto emails. I had nothing but bad experience with post mate since i been with them I canceled my member $#*! they are bad for business and i hope everybody stop giving them our hard earned money

Unprofessional

They're expensive and do not provide adequate support. Apparently I'm the one being punish because my food is messed up, prepared wrong, items missing and the food was late... just because my account history shows many issues. And it's probably showing that because I've ordered a ton of food during COVID. Of course I'm going to have more instances where people mess up food. It's expected to happen when you order more often. Why am I being the one punished for restaurants screwing up so much during COVID? Half my bowl was missing and there was no dressing. I couldn't even eat it because it was prepared totally wrong. It was gross. I'm not using postmates anymore, for sure. Ya know, $30 down the drain for something totally inedible.

Wow. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this company could use a lot of improvement.

Quoted items are in the cookie cutter emails I received from support.

"Let me help you out with your concern." I wasn't helped at all. Postmates advertised a bogus signup promotion of $5 off first 5 orders (which still exists on the site by the way), and then I was given one free delivery as consolation when support couldn't figure it out. Their default offer of $100 in free delivery is better than that!

"We are not showing any promo codes applied to your account." I am looking right at it in my Account Settings. "Promos - 100% off Delivery Fee, Expires 9/22/2020, Next order only." If Postmates cannot see this in their OWN system then I am at a loss. No wonder the correct promo didn't get applied. Postmates can't even see the promos applied to their users' accounts!

I asked them if they could look into this issue further, and if they couldn't figure it out, please delete my account. They wrote back 2 MINUTES later. "I'm sorry to hear that you want to delete your account. I'd be more than happy to check this for you."

Nice business model.

Spoiled food

Since we ordered from Postmates the restaurant said we had to contact Postmates for a refund. Postmates said that's not the kind of thing they refund - then who does? My order came to $55.50. Postmates refunded $3.58! This is their response:
" Thanks for reaching out to us! I'm sorry to hear that you have an issue with your order. I know how frustrating this can be, I would also feel the same, I'm be happy to assist you with this matter today.

We are sorry to hear about the quality of your order. I know it's frustrating to receive an order that's not what you expected. We can not issue an additional credit or refund at this time.

We want to assure you that we greatly appreciate your feedback. We always want to consider the quality of products available on the Postmates platform.

I hope you will give us a shot in the future to give you a great delivery experience! Please stay healthy and safe, have a nice one!

I received an order 2 days ago where I had to interact with the driver due to alcohol being part of the delivery. During that time, she informed me that her other job had been temporarily shut down because her boss tested positive for Covid, and she was not wearing a mask. I have called Postmates three days in a row and have not received any sort of response from them, despite a call-back or email being promised every time. This company clearly does not care about customer safety.

Consistently wrong

Im so sick of postmates that i am deleting the app. I understand that they don't make the food and that he vendors are responsible for making the order correctly, but 6 of my last 7 orders have been wrong. They aren't wrong because the vendor isn't reading special instructions. They are weong because im either missing items or the items i ordered are missing ingredients that are port of the item i ordered. Postmates clearly does not vet their vendors or have any type of quality control in place. I just placed a $40 order that included two dishes. One dish was missing the PROTEIN! The main ingredient! The other dish was described as having scallions and came with red onion. Postmates refunded me $3.75... not even the full cost of delivery. Nevermind the fact that i didnt get a single item that i ordered made correctly.

I recently had back surgery and couldn't drive or get up to make food, I have been off of work since the end of February due to the pandemic and have very little money to spare, my 4 kids were hungry and my sons car wasn't working so i decided to try postmates, I ordered McDonald's thinking I can get enough for my kids to share if I order a 2 cheese burger meal large, a 10 piece chicken nugget meal and an extra 10 nuggets for them to share along with 3 cookies for a $1order should have be $21 with tax, i placed the order i didn't see my total so I immediately went to my account and saw i was charged $84+ I immediately canceled the order, 3 min later they will not refund my money saying that the food was already being prepared, really even when I'm in the restaurant it is not that fast. They told me great news they would wave the subscription fee (which was never in anything i looked at when I placed the order) saying I would only be charged for the food, which in their minds was worth $67+ giving me nothing in return no credit no food. I thought when you buy something you should receive something in return, I got not even a credit, they didn't lift a finger and took money from a family who at this time is on a budget and was going to share food.

First of all, I ordered sushi from a place nearby. It was not cheap and I was home waiting for its arrival. I received notice that it would be arriving in 8 minutes. Then nothing. No call from the callbox to be buzzed in, no text that my order had arrived, nothing. So I went into my app looking for status and it was in the tip and rate window. The driver left raw fish outside in the front of my apartment building. I have no idea for how long and it was warm so I had no choice but to throw it away. Postmates gave me an automatic $20 but the order was $43! The next day I called because email was getting no where and I also now had a fraudulent $10 tip taken out of my bank account! I spoke with a woman, Erin, on the phone an she refunded the other $23 and was looking into the $10 tip. Meanwhile she had me send her a screenshot of the charges, which I did. Now I ordered again today because I want to use up the gift card amount and never use Postmates again. Anyway, I keep getting email messages that the tip is valid(because they were including today also). So now I have taken another screenshot which shows the 3 completed charges and the 1 pending charge. Again I'm only disputing one of these charges. And I just keep getting the runaround. So now Im doing what I can to make sure people know to not use this service. I was really only using it to try to help people make money(drivers and restaurants) but I'll just go pick up myself. Its just not worth it.

Delivery issues

Driver didn't follow delivery instructions so left with my order. I ordered from a restaurant 4blks away. I called postmates and was told the restaurant was preparing a fresh order for me. When the driver arrived I was sitting outside my secure bldg. I wanted to see if the driver would call me upon arrival as I requested when I initially ordered. She did not call me, instead she kept trying to open doors to enter the bldg. The food was cold, dryed-up, and most definately not a fresh order. The delivery instructions we patrons put onto our order are a priority this company needs to pay attention to. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1, the customer service individual was kind.

Their customer service team is trash and extremely unprofessional and would not refund me for a quesadilla that arrived with no cheese. I took one bite which was all cilantro and threw it in the garbage. Luckily it wasn't expensive, it's just so inappropriate that they don't back their customers satisfaction and make merchant error or lack of care for land on the paying customer when as most people know, postmates is not cheap. Probably won't be ordering so much from this app anymore.

Ordered fast food 1/2 mile from home. Delivery over 1/2 hr late and cold(it was Mexican food cold n flabby) got the canned reply of we're concerned give us another chance. No offer of refund for inedible food! Delivery service is too competitive to deal with this company!

Drivers security

Postmate dont really care about what happen to their drivers if your pick up or drop off location are save reason i will recommend to always drive with a partner. Today my GF had a pick up at a 7/11 for one little pack of popcorn with a drop location with the customer number to call from postmate that number she call endup being a fraud number
