I was having trouble finding a replacement turbo for my MK5 GTI. I found pelican parts on the third page of my search. All of the East Coast supplier we're out of stock, and I would have to wait three months for a drop shipment from Borg Warner. Pelican had my turbo in stock. My sales rep Gene worked with me to verify that the turbo was correct for my car. He was very patient and helpful and made sure I got what I needed. He also pointed out all the tech articles for working on my MK5. I received my delivery in four days which is way better than the two weeks it takes from the East Coast. I have since placed multiple orders for hoses and brake parts and I received the same great quality, service and fast shipping. Pelican is now my first stop for GTI parts I wholeheartedly recommend pelican parts for your European vehicles.

Delay in shipment of the product is at it's worst, Tracking number provided has no update after shipment. You can not tell what is happening with your order. Email from the customer service does not help at all as they appear to be making pandemic as an excuse. Be very aware of this company better stay away from them.

My apologies for not living up to expectation on your recent order. I know when you are in the middle of a build any delay is painful. I am so sorry to be the cause of that pain. I reviewed your order, and it looks like this order was placed on September 19 and shipped out the following day on September 20. It appears that the packages were leaving our facility in Harbor City, California headed to Australia. With the shipping method being USPS priority mail. It is extremely frustrating on our end when we do everything right to get the order out the door only to have a carrier flub the delivery. Unfortunately, with USPS I have seen some instances where tracking is missing or not updated. When we call our rep to get more information, they inform us that it will eventually update and to remain patient. Not the answer either one of us want to hear. Personally, I think USPS’s care factor is zero.

I just shot you an email. If you have time, I would appreciate a note back. I’ll work with you to see if we can make up for this flub.

Wrong part sent, they still profit.

They sent me the wrong part that did not fit but they do not care because they still made money. In order to receive free shipping i ordered things that i did not need, and o have to pay for that, scam scam scam

My package has been stuck at customs because these "geniuses" wrote a different amount in declared value for customs from what I paid so when I sent the invoice to DHL because they asked for it it didn't coincide with what was declared. They wrote down a higher amount which means I will pay higher import fees! The only option for customs is to send them an invoice that has the same amount as the one declared. When I talked on the phone with Pelican Parts they just acted like nothing. Not even a sorry for the inconvenience! Word of advice if you care about customer satisfaction: in declared value for customs write down the amount that was paid including whatever discount that was given for whatever reason and don't include shipping and handling in the declared amount. If you don't do this you're making your client pay more! Import fees for Mexico are very high so thank you for screwing me and not caring about it.

Since buying my 2003 Boxster Base in July of 2021 I have used Pelican Parts several times. I have bought hood struts, a hood release actuator, a complete brake kit and a few odds and ends. Every part has fit perfectly. The few times I was uncertain about fitment I was able to talk to a REAL person who invariably steered me in the right direction. I have been more than satisfied with the assistance I have received, delivery times and of course, price. It is a comfort knowing that when I need Porsche parts Pelican has my back.

Recently I came in possession of a 2001 Boxster s and knew very little about Porsche. I did know they could be very expensive to maintain so I started reading what I could find on things that could go wrong. During my research I read an article on how the fuel pump relay could go out without any warning and it was advisable to have spares. So, I called Pelican Parts and one of their salesmen said they went out often and I should have at least two on hand. Not wanting to get stuck because of this I ordered two taking this salesmens word I would be sent the correct part. I also asked him where this relay was located. He said under the passenger seat and I would have to remove the seat to get to this relay. That didn't seem correct to me after I placed the order so I started looking into this so I would know where it really was if I did have to remove it. Of course I found out it was located in the foot well on the drivers side. Fast forward a few months and I did have a need to replace this relay. I used one of the two this Pelican parts guy said was the relay I needed but it did not work. I checked into the no of the relay and found out this sales person did not send me a fuel relay but instead a secondary air injector pump relay. Because of the total mis direction of this sales man I was stranded until I could get the correct relay. I guess this pelican parts salesman thought he would have some fun with his customer and screw me up and probably got a good laugh on my expense. This has caused me to have a very bad impression of Pelican Parts and not sure I could trust them again on any thing I might need to order from them again. I had ordered from them earlier and got what I ordered no problem. I guess this particular time I just got a bad salesman. Pelican Parts should make sure that all their salesmen should understand that their customers are their business. Without satisfied customers their is no Pelican Parts and no need for them.

It is a good idea to have a couple of these on hand and especially one if your glove compartment. It could mean the difference between needing a tow truck and driving home. I’m not sure what happened but the part number you needed was 996-615-101-00-M504. Our team is filled with knowledgeable Salespeople, but it looks like in this case they made human error. I tried looking for your order under the name in your review and via the part number from your picture. I was unable to find a match otherwise I would have called you personally. 1st of all, I'd like to thank this company & ALL of it's staff for being there to help me out when I needed them! I'd like to thank Kenny & most of all Glenn for just being there! I've talked to both of these guys at length( Especially Glenn) & what a great resource for all of MY automotive needs. I would encourage everyone, & I mean everyone to at least try calling these gentlemen & see if you get the same results that have & will continue to get going forward. Has it been perfect? Mostly, yes... there have been some minor things, but again, I just called Glenn up & got it figured out. Don't be all pissed off if it doesn't go your way all the time & write a bad review about them online that you cannot be accountable for! Call & talked to these people & let them help you!

Ordered parts and paid for priority shipping so I can receive the second day, oh well they decided to cancel the order after payment. Why! Because they can only ship the to the address on the bank card. I never heard of that in my life. So my promise date was compromised. I purchased the parts from the dealer at a much cheaper price. And less aggravation.

Cyber fraud is increasing on the rise. Fraudsters get more and more creative in ways to commit credit card fraud. At Pelican we are aware of this and take every precaution to keep our customers safe.

We currently take into consideration several points of information to verify the security of a transaction. If we are able to verify enough information we can ship to any address a customer requests. On occasion our customer protection team has an order that for several reasons they cannot be validated back to the credit card holder. Cases like this are extremely rare as 99.71% of all of our orders are processed without any issue. That includes orders not shipping to the billing address. If for some reason information cannot tie back to a card holder our team may ask if you would like to ship to your billing address or other additional information to help verify an identity. This helps us to protect card holders and ensure that it is a legitimate transaction. This is for our customers protection in the event that a credit card may have been compromised. I can fully understand how this can be frustrating. Unfortunately, in these times we must take every precaution to ensure transactions are safe. I hope this explains a bit on why our team asked if we could ship to your billing address. My apologies again.

I ordered parts from Pelican on a Monday and paid additional shipping cost to have parts arrive earlier. Parts were in stock, but did not ship until 3 days later, the day they were scheduled to arrive. The tracking link did not work so I contacted Pelican to get a valid tracking number. I was not given a tracking number, but was told my order was in transit and told my shipping charges were refunded. A few more days went by without receiving my order so I inquired again. I was told my order would be arriving Saturday. A week after ordering parts (the following Monday), I still do not have the parts I ordered. I will not be ordering parts from Pelican again.

Best Parts Supplier for my Porsche and Mercedes!

Pelican parts is the worst company I have ever delt with! Tried ordering multiple parts from her for my 1m build and it was just an absolute nightmare. Ordered a front bumper, they charged me and then two weeks later emailed me saying it wasn't in stock. Bought a rear bumper, they charged me again and then emailed me 2 weeks later saying it was going to be $600 extra to ship my bumper! First off no bumper is $600 to ship even if it's coming from halfway across the world and the fact that they took 2 weeks to email me that when I should have already had the bumper was just pathetic. Last I tried to order a 1M front fender from them. After waiting over a month for the fender and no emails I called them to see the status of my order. They told me that fedex had "lost the package" which was a complete lie. Even if fedex did lose the package and they did file a claim why did I never receive and email about this after over a month?! Last but not least, while pricing out some center caps I added some to my cart with wheel emblems but did not check out! They actually put the order through somehow and sent them to me when all I did was add then to my cart to see how much it would come out to be with shipping! Absolutely ridiculous, I would never in my life buy anything from Pelican Parts again and to be honest I don't think I even could if I wanted to! They're incapable of even sending you something unless it wasn't something you even bought! Terrible company do not buy anything from them you will 100% regret it.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Please allow me to apologize for not living up to expectation one your last few orders. I am so sorry about the additional oversized shipping charge on your bumper. We rely on the weight and dimensional data from our suppliers on special order items that we do not stock or have not been previously processed through our distribution center. Occasionally they do not have the correct weights and dims in their price files. When we go to ship these packages our warehouse team flags them for our CS team to notify the customer if any additional freight charges are needed. This is a rare case but unfortunately it does happen every now and then. $600.00 does sound extremely high and not correct. If you don’t mind would you please respond to my DM with your order information? I would like to take a look and see if there is anything I can do to help.

I would also appreciated it if you shared the lost package order with me. Unfortunately, our system is not sophisticated enough to confirm delivery back to us when packages are sent out. However if there is an issue and a package is not delivered our customer service team should have assisted you getting you a full refund or shipping you out a replacement.

I’m not sure what could of happened with the items you had in your cart but did not submit. We have no way of forcing a transaction for another users computer. Our system relies on the customer to CLICK the “Complete & Place Order” button. If that button is not clicked no payment information is submitted to us and there is no way for us to process the order. If you could share that information with me as well I would be happy to try and recall the package or if it is to late issue an RMA and a full refund if you no longer need the products.

Since it is Saturday we are closed and I’m not in the office. I am however keeping an eye on my emails. Please feel free to respond to my DM or shoot me an email. My apologies again for all the frustration we have caused. I hope other than this you are having a good weekend.

Very easy site to navigate and to utilize... I found them and me and my two somewhat 'mature' cars - a 2003 Jetta TDI wagon and a 1973 Volvo 1800 ES - could not be more thrilled!

Their system makes it easy to get to the items that can work for my wheels, and lets me sort through them quickly... instead of searching the web and ending up at dead-ends for places that have essentially one part that fits either of my cars...

A great place to find parts for your Porsche
March 17, 2021

I have a 1997 993. I do much of the maintenance work myself. I recently needed the screw that secures the left rear taillight and was able to find it at Pelican. It's excellent that I can get not only "major/expensive" parts but also little OEM items like that screw. Pretty much everything that I have ever needed for maintaining my '97 993, I have been able to find at Pelican. I highly recommend them.
