I ordered the Barbie box off the website for a birthday party for my daughter and it was supposed to arrive three days prior to her party. I received the confirmation email and everything was great. Fast-forward a week and I received another confirmation that it just sent. It was supposed to be sent well before the day it was actually sent. I spoke to a gentleman the week after from customer service, on the phone and he stated he would provide a refund. I received the Barbie box package the following week of said "refund".
I never received a refund.
I called customer service YET AGAIN, and was hung up on, and was also told there was no supervisor to speak with. I even called my bank to have the payment refunded to me because I should not have to pay for something that was approved for a refund.
In summation, I will not be shopping at party city any longer and I used to shop here (in store and online) for all my party needs, on a regular basis. The lack of sympathy from the customer service agents at party city was appalling. I have informed my friends and family of the situation, and there is quite a few people who will never return back to this company for anything moving forward. I know this means little to nothing to party city as a whole. However, I don't feel you should shop at a company you cannot trust. There are plenty other party places that offer supplies at much lower cost. I will be using them moving forward.
I am a teacher and I asked for a balloon donation (1 or two) for our teacher of the year. They said NO! What? Party City can not support their community school? AWFUL! Just remember...you are where you are because of TEACHERS!
Unfortunately this company is saying that I received my order when I didn't. So I contacted customer service and they showed me a picture of the items delivered but I let them know that that was not my front door where the package was. So they said due to it saying it was already delivered they could not resend or refund. I basically lost almost $60 and they are doing nothing. Worst job ever. I was a co-manager, but all management duties were pawned off on me. I couldn't even create a fun work environment. And fuggetaboutit if the district manager was on - site. Manager, Alex Rivera, rang me up and suggested I get the balloons delivered. When I came back to fulfill the delivery order, her and another cashier put in my information to have them delivered. When I called to see where the balloons were, associate's response was "I didn't see a delivery in our system". That pissed me off. Then I spoke to Nathan, manager, and he didn't apologize one time, just empathized with me and said "I would be frustrated too." These comments don't help or resolve the issue that Alex suggested to have the balloons delivered, I see the comments on my receipt for it to be delivered (correct info) and then when I call no one knows what's going on or why it's not in the system. These excuses are irrelevant to me when I paid in full for my balloons. Then when I pick then non-delivered balloons today at 830am, no one had the courtesy to put my balloons in a large bag. I guess I have to make sure your associates do their job by ALWAYS following up.
I visited the Columbia, MO store on Friday, Sept,******* to purchase balloons & some other items for my daughter's 21st. While there, I worked with several store associates because I was having a difficult time making a final selection/decision due to the extensive options available. ALL of the sales staff were patient & accommodating. I would highly recommend this store to others and will DEFINITELY visit this store again... Even though they were quite busy with orders for the University of Missouri Parents Weekend, they ALL made me feel like I was only customer in the store. Much thanks! - Maggie H.
Manager was disrespectful and told the nice worker not to break down our 100 bill. She previously said she didn't have enough to change it but then said she couldn't unless I was using it to purchase. Other stores will willingly break down bills for customers even if not being used to purchase.
I ordered something from this site because it showed it would be in several days before I needed it. Then tracking didn't track...didn't track...days later it finally tracks and will be THREE DAYS LATE! Now I can't even get this from somewhere else. I contact customer service and was told that the date it should is the SOONEST it would arrive. Wow! Never order from them again!
I was shopping at the Newnan Party City and they had their section of candy labeled with signs that said "Manager's Special 50% off". I decided to grab 6 bags of candy that was located in that section and they all had green dots on them which indicated they should EACH be 50% off. I got to the register where they were NOT ringing up 50% off and a manager (Ashley) came and said she had to do it manually. Well, Ashley took off $7.50 off the highest priced bag which was $15.00 and applied that to all the candy which did NOT equal 50% off each bag. So, a $4.00 bag was showing $3.00 instead of the $2.00. I had over $38.00 worth of candy that should have been half off and instead the total was showing 29.00. I stated that it's not right that each bag should be 50% off and not just the highest priced bag. She stated she could not put a discount on a discount which is how she entered it into the system. I used to work there and know for a fact that you can change each individual items price but she just decided to take 50% off the one bag and call it good. She refused to honor THEIR SIGNS that were posted and apply the 50% off to the rest of the bags, so I decided to not buy the rest of the goods that I had planned on purchasing. This store is horrible with its customers, there are always long lines and not enough employees in the store. Managment needs to be changed!
I purchased graduation balloons and other decorations for my son's party and had the balloons delivered the morning g of the party. The delivery person must have put a hole in the large helium balloon and the air was out within 30 minutes. I did not have time to go to the store to get another balloon as guests would soon be arriving. I called Party City and the manager promptly delivered an entire new balloon bouquet just in time for the party! Not only was a bouquet delivered but they gave me a much better bouquet than I had originally ordered! I was very pleased with the prompt attention, care, and service that I received!
I placed a large order online since they have no store near me, for some reason when I paid with my Apple. Pay it was shipping to a store in another state instead of my home. I tried immediately to contact customer support every way possible. They didn't open until later. Once I talked with them. They said they would put in for a cancellation, would I like them to resubmit my order with the correct address. I said no I would do it since I had something else to add. I didn't get a reply until the next day from another customer service agent via email, only to be told I couldn't cancel it and I would have to return the items to the store to get a refund. I stated yet again that I can't retrieve them or return them to a store since it's not one near me. I was told to track the items and once they were deliveeed they could issue my refund. She said that once they were delivered to a store that they immediately would go into their inventory. What!? Why should I have to do anything I asked. Five minutes after I said ok, whatever. They sent another email saying my item was being prepared to ship. This just made me even madder. It hadn't even been sent yet! So I tracked my package, it arrived today and they stated a return would be issued, it would take about a week. In the meantime the new order I placed has come in, with several broken pieces. I looked into returns and they don't take any broken open items. I will never buy from these people again. I sincerely hope my review helps someone. I didn't think to look them up first as I have ordered from them before. This will be my last time. They are horrible people to deal with and apparently just lie to customers.

I am a dasher and we are always running to get our customers their orders.well in Woodbridge nj.its horrible 2 Saturdays in a row I got orders for this store.Both times they are not ready.no problem we could wait a little bit when 12 dashers are waiting and they are blowing up the balloons we all wait in line not knowing when we are going to leave. Money and time is lost. There needs to be a better plan. The manager I. This location is not a nice person and could not care less about all the dashers waiting. As a previous store manager in retail after 30 years I am so glad I got out of the business because of things like this. When a dasher gets the pop up on there phone we run to party city to get the order and they give us so.much time to be at a location we are hurting our number for being on time. So please get this manger of party city in Woodbridge NJ some organization skills and people skills.
I ordered 100 inflated balloons for a party. Only received 40. Contacted customer service and the store and neither were helpful. The store blamed it on their contracted delivery service (Uber) and corporate customer service blamed the store. I have not received a refund and its been over a month since my purchase. They have been paid through my credit card. I will never use them again.

This site sucks. I can't even review my items that i purchased; the page jumps; and when looking things up sometimes it is difficult. The prices p*ss me off! Used to be cheaper for the cheap things. Balloons are ridiculous. Why are we being charged that much? Especially a party store, and for cheap balloons?!
I bought a balloon set, 15 in a pack, also paid the balloon fee for them, $1.04 per balloon to be blown up, and scheduled the pickup yesterday. By the time I got to the hospital to celebrate my father's birthday, the balloons started deflating! It was only a 10 minute drive! When I looked at the balloons I could feel the helium leaking out and there was clear tape on them as if they were broken at the time of them filling the balloons the Dollar store has better quality balloons! I'm definitely NOT coming back to Party city. Unbelievable.
The lady at Party City was extremely rude and rolled her eyes at me when I asked to have an arch for my child's 7th birthday party. She did not want to do it and treated me horribly so I asked her just to fill up 12 balloons and she filled them up so much that all of them popped right when I walked out of the building. Horrible experience and will never use them again. I work for John Deere and I purchase many supplies from them but not anymore, they have lost my business.
2 Workers this past Saturday time 11:45 am. were in charge of the balloons were rude and mad about short staff. When I checked out after purchasing 2 balloons I was told it was 2 hr wait. Cashier suggested I take the balloons to pop shelf store to fill up if I did not want to wait. I will never shop there again.
This company lies about delivery do not pay extra for their delivery. If you do, know that it is not going to arrive on the expected delivery date on the website. Company will not give you any refunds. They have poor customer service, and they did not tell the truth.
