The company has garnered a predominantly negative reputation among customers, primarily due to significant issues with order accuracy and return processes. Many reviews highlight frustrations over receiving incorrect parts and the subsequent difficulty in obtaining refunds, with customers often bearing return shipping costs for errors not of their making. Additionally, the customer service experience is frequently described as inadequate, characterized by long wait times and unhelpful responses. While some customers noted prompt delivery of the correct items, the overall sentiment reflects a lack of reliability and support, leading to a strong recommendation to seek alternative suppliers.

Sent the wrong part costing over $500, then expect me to pay for return shipping and "try " to get my refund ASAP after they receive the errant part. BS. Sorry customer service
Purchased Dodge Journey Headlight and received the wrong headlight. After contacting customer service on 4 different occasions, being put on hold multiple times and being told someone would get back to me in 24hrs I received nothing! Did get a email wanting pictures of the box and headlamp not sure why? I was told I can not return it as it is beyond the 30 days. The absolute worst customer service! Also found replacement lamp at www.carparts.com $100 less which adds insult to injury! Don't do business with the company.
I ordered 2 tie rods for my f250 and one came defective and they were not willing to send a replacement only wanted to return the bad part to the warehouse which is in Norcross Ga. And who knows wether I would've ever received a refund or replacement. Obviously I can't afford to have my truck down for days or weeks to wait and see what Parts Geek would do, if they would do anything at all. Listen to me people and go to an actual parts supplier not a office in a strip mall playing middle man only to screw you over and take your money!
Bought the wrong mirror and since the truck was on the road we did not know it was the wrong mirror. No return after the deadline. No exchange after the deadline. Their attitude on the phone was very arrogant. I'm not going to sweat a $70 part but there will not be anymore. See Ya
I had ordered 3 parts for my truck and only received 2 of them. I was charged for all three and paid shipping for all 3. There is no one you can talk to about problems everything is done through emails. So after several back and forths they agreed to credit my card with the missing item. I still need the part and asked them to just send the missing part. I was told they can't currently do that so I would have to reorder the item and pay for shipping again. I will not be buying any more parts from them and suggest you buy parts from one of the other reputable suppliers unless you want to have endless emails with someone in India if you do have issues
Purchased a brake booster for my Grand Prix and it came with a couple of missing pieces, a bent pin and a damaged plastic seat. Since I really needed to get the car on the road, I replaced the above parts and installed the booster. Unfortunately the booster is bad and I need to get a new one. So I'm out the $$ I spent and still don't have working brakes. Stay away from this company!
I was refuse to buy a part and pay to ship it back. Parts geek customer service is horrible and inconsiderate for customers.
By midday on a Saturday, we ordered a part while at the senior mechanic with the order number given showing the professional the webpage before completing the online purchase. The shipping policy says shipped in 1 to 2 business days. We would not have ordered if we knew the very small part was coming from California to the East Coast. The part was not shipped until the following Tuesday by regular 1st class mail. It could have been shipped Priority for less than the high fee charged to get it to us by Thursday or Friday. The wildfires, hurricanes, etc. mean that the USPS tracking which states delivery a week later after order would not arrive in time for the scheduled work. All we got out of this waste of time and money is an extra part, because we had to order from another frim that actually charges less for shipping and provides a number of options up front for more assurance that parts will arrive in a timely manner. Based on what is on this page from other reviewers, it would not be a surprise if the part sent is faulty or wrong.
We choose not to have unlimited phone plans anymore, so we pay for ALL incoming and outgoing calls. Being on hold for ten minutes, then calling back during your business day and waiting longer does not aid the rating of Parts Geek. We know what we pay for in phone service when we get the bill. When a supervisor is requested about a processing matter that could affect all customers, it should not be questioned, which was the case with the second operator. I had to mention taking time out of my business day and not going through extra clearance to speak with a supervisor. I wonder if a woman was put on the line since a woman called?! Do not accept a call back, because 1) it will not happen and 2) a business should not control communication when it has been paid by you, thus interrupting your business day at their convenience after inconveniencing you! They all sounded nice, yet that had nothing to do with why I was calling about the shipping policy AND processing flaws.
So, for some reason, PartsGeek had a change of heart and provided me a full refund for the wiper blades including shipping. As in my title, they really put me through the ringer first, however. They said I got exactly what I ordered even though Bosch Icon was in the title. The lesser quality Bosch Clear Advantage was in the notes. I didn't even know what a Clear Advantage was. I reviewed top rated wipers and the Icons is almost always at the top of the list. Anyway, I took them to the post office to return and shipping would have been $15. So, to cut my losses, I decided I would keep them and let PartsGeek know to go ahead and charge me for them. They had already issued the refund. I wasn't looking for something for nothing... Anyway, they got back to me and said the ticket is already closed so consider them a gift. What's funny is that when I checked the items on their form of what I was returning, the parts were still listed as Bosch Icon wiper blades! So, based on reviews, I guess I was lucky. I wish this would be a turning point in their customer service, but I won't hold my breath. It's sad to see a company with potential lose customer base over such idiotic business practices. Not sure why they took care of me after their initial "my fault" response, but based on this experience, I won't use them again. I'm a standup guy, but based on this experience, I don't want to go through this again. In all fairness, I just want people to know, they did come through for me after putting me through the ringer. If they would have done this in the first place and sent a return shipping label like every other eCommerce company I deal with, it wouldn't have been an issue. I don't want revenge or anything like that, just wanted to make my fellow gearheads aware of this... Thanks
Yeah, I thought I was pretty eCommerce savvy, but PartsGeek managed to cheat me also. Fortunately, I'm only out about 40 bucks so not a hill worth dying for. I do think this company should be investigated by the proper authorities however, based on customer reviews. I ordered what I thought were Bosch "Icon" wiper blades which is stated in the title. However, I received Bosch "Clear Advantage" blades which are of a lesser quality. They put me through all the BS of sending pictures and all that stuff. Then they told me I should have read the notes instead of the title. On the notes it says, "Clear Advantage." A "normal" company would just correct the title as to save their customers the confusion, but not PartsGeek. They offered a refund, but would not pay for the return postage. They also didn't state if they would refund the original shipping fee. So, not worth worrying about. Unfortunately, even with their ridiculous shipping fee of $15.99 for three wiper blades to travel about 60 miles, they were still a few bucks cheaper than everyone else. So, me trying to save a few bucks got me screwed out of about $40. I should have recognized the red flag. I recommend staying away from these crooks...
I ordered a part from them. Wasn't correct part. They sent a RMA & return slip First Class USPS, just to find out that the item was over the shipping weight classified for first class. $60 part plus $40 shipping cost and still NO REFUND. Got a hold of customer service just for them to lie & say it was sent to my bank & the bank had a hold on releasing it. Needless to say I WILL NEVER USE THEM EVER AND I HOPE THEY GO OUT OF BUSINESS
I place an order for switch for my wife Ford Expedition, upon arrival the switch was bad and obviously of inferior quality than the original, I send an email requesting RMA number for returning the part and request a reimbursement. I follow all the instructions and requirements. Now almost two months later still haven't received my reimbursement, would I recommend this company to anyone absolutely not, I should have gone to the dealer and get the Motorcraft part for the car an avoid this troubles.
They can't get their orders right... ordered a passenger and driver side inner fender for my 14 Ram 1500 and they sent the wrong driver side (completely different material) not once, but twice! I was hung up on by every guy I spoke to. The only comforting customer service I received was from two women. I wish I had the names of the guys so I could name drop them but they never would give them to me. They even tried making me pay for the return shipping through the first two people I called. Needless to say, never ordering from this company again and will forever bash them when asked
-they did end up resolving the 3 different issues with return shipping covered (took about 5-6 phone calls to situate the purchases).
I ordered 170$ worth of stuff and called the next day to cancel because I ordered two day shipping for 40$ and only two items were scheduled to show up at last minute but on time but not my other items called them talked to the head supervisor Anthony who is has a smart mouth on him and acts as if he is superior to others (jerk) I simply wanted my ordered canceled they said no it was already being shipped I said okay I want refund they said sure but you can't get your shipping back I haven't recieved any items and today is the third day sad to say they lie about there shipping times and you pay and don't get money back if it comes in a week so basically I have to go without my car another week since I have to wait for their parts since if I cancel I will loose half of what I originally spent which is bullsh*t
I was shipped an incomplete Slave/master cylinder combination for my vehicle. I immediately contacted them to let them know. I provided the 5 pictures of the situation they wanted to document the whole scenario. In the meantime I installed the correct part I did receive as the master cylinder allowed me to drive my vehicle! Then Parts Geek says the ONLY way to get a refund is to send that part back. They will not issue a partial refund. They will not send the missing part. They will not take it out of another kit and defect that kit. In short, they have no desire to make their mistake right! Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere!
Started out great. Warm and friendly gal took my order. Order took longer than expected to arrive. They packaged a 30 lb catalytic converter and manifold(30 lbs of steel and sharp edges with brackets etc) in a cardboard box with no packaging material. Resulting in a blown out shredded box and of course, a damaged part. Customer service call #1 was nice but the follow up promised was not made as of two days later.so call #2 to CS and guy threatens to terminate the call if I'm not "professional". I explained that he was the one being unprofessional because I'd already answered his question and requested a supervisor 3 times. Well, he hung up on me. Call #3 and talked to another guy who apologized but couldn't put me in touch with supervisor due to them being on a call. Waiting on response still... absolutely TERRIBLE! Not to mention the manifold flange had what appears to be dried epoxy all over it along with light rust all across it.
Purchased wheel bearing on April 16 product failed returned product in September have not received refund for defective product!
I ordered a license plate bracket with hardware for my truck. I received the the bracket and no hardware
There also was no packaging slip in the box. I paid 10 extra dollars to order the one with hardware. Now they are giving me the run around to get some of my money back.
Do not do business with this company.
I orderedrear blade wiper for my car.
The order came quickly, but unfortunately it did not fit my car.
The customer service said that of course I can return it, but I have to pay the shipping costs. Why?
If I chose a specific model for a specific car supposed to work, if not this is not my fault.
Is hard to contact them.
Ordered a large order of parts for a Jetta TDI and part of the order was lost by FedEx, I advised FedEx of the problem they investigated the issue and approved the claim I was advised by FedEx the procedure was for Parts Geek file a claim with FedEx and they would pay it and then Parts Geek would replace the items or issue a refund to me. Parts Geek refused to do anything at all. These people are 100% thieves, do yourself a big favor avoid at all cost and if you need a online parts source go to Rock Auto on the rare occasion there is a problem they will take care of it!
They pulled money from my bank account for an order, and then sent me an email stating how i needed to send a copy of my drivers license if i wanted to get the products id ordered. That sounds like a scam to me. Dont trust this website for ordering your parts. I even called in to make the original order and was disappointed in how their representative knew less about what came in the kit than i did. Dont bother calling in expecting quality advise.
Answer: Because they're unprofessional, unethical, communist fuckin jackasses!
Answer: Parts geek had the rudest and most infuriating customer service I've encountered ever.
Answer: You'll pay plenty for shipping and if they give you the wrong part, you'll pay to ship it back. It's in their terms. You pay shipping both ways, regardless of fault.
Answer: Because they are either crooks, or they have some nut in the warehouse grabbing whatever and sending it to you even if it's wrong wrong wrong!
