PartsGeek Reviews Summary

The company has garnered a predominantly negative reputation among customers, primarily due to significant issues with order accuracy and return processes. Many reviews highlight frustrations over receiving incorrect parts and the subsequent difficulty in obtaining refunds, with customers often bearing return shipping costs for errors not of their making. Additionally, the customer service experience is frequently described as inadequate, characterized by long wait times and unhelpful responses. While some customers noted prompt delivery of the correct items, the overall sentiment reflects a lack of reliability and support, leading to a strong recommendation to seek alternative suppliers.

Buyer beware!
April 16, 2022

My first time using Parts Geek. 5 business days I received an open empty shipping tube delivered by FedEx. I immediately called to report, they turned over to Customer Service. Needing the parts I ordered elsewhere. Several email correspondences I TWICE asked to cancel and refund. After several days they resubmitted my order. I once more emailed them that I politely asked that my order be cancelled. They informed me that they can't cancel and that after I receive parts that I'll need to return. Apparently it is more important to them to make one sale for $31.95 than it is to have repeat business. I buy quite a bit of parts online. Never again with Parts Geek. Will advise every one I know to do business elsewhere

Nissan 2013 Rim
April 15, 2022

This website was suspish and too good to be true for me. I never got an email confirmation/tracking # so I got a little worried. Turns out a few business days later my rim got here and it fit perfectly, it was also in perfect condition. I'm so happy with my purchase!

Worst Return Experience Ever
April 1, 2022

I am in the middle of attempting to return an over order due to being misinformed by customer service as to how many brake shoes need to be ordered. They initially denied my return saying it was over a month old when it the order was only a few days old. Then they wanted each item sent to two different addresses... there is more but I cannot even be bothered to explain. PartsGeek has a horrible return process... not worth any discount. What a hassle.

Return policy is the worst!
March 31, 2022

If you don't order the exact part you need and take it out of its original packaging, then your stuck with that part and the 30 day satisfaction guarantee is just empty promises. They send me an email saying I would get a return label. Then they spam me with emails wanting mechanic diagnostics and proof the part wasn't bad or the issue and then not honor my return. I will never purchase from them again and you should think really hard before you do. I would have been better off paying a little more from a parts chain store with better return policies. At least I have the peace of mind I can return a part that is not needed.

Never again
March 30, 2022

In October I bought a strut assembly kit, installed in November by my mechanic. Only for my struts to go out not even 5 months later. I contacted customer service and explained the situation and that I would like the part to be replaced or a refund back- I did in fact purchase warranty along with the part when I bought it. Everything was approved, I even complied with the warehouse requirements. They asked for a work order from my mechanic, I sent it in. Only to be told, it's invalid and there is nothing they can do. So now, I'm $#*! out of luck and have completely useless struts. But hey that's what you get when you purchase cheap $#*!. Better off buying the real deal at your nearest Autozone or Oreillys. Screw you Parts Geek.

Worth buying experience I ever imagined
March 23, 2022

These people are the worst people to do business with I mistakenly ordered shock absorbers from them on eBay and then immediately asked for a refund and cancel my order contact the seller several times and all they want to say is go to the product page and all the information will be there what to do if you get information about the item all I wanted was a refund and cancel the order and I can never do this I had to make an investigation with eBay to step in but still now I got to wait for my money so I can purchase the correct item I would never purchase from them again

I purchased 2 CV axle shafts. Both turned out to be the wrong shafts, one packaged in the correct part box that I ordered. I checked the parts for damage when they arrived and found nothing broken. The shafts appeared to be correct judging by the one end that I could verify from looking at the shafts on the car. By the time I got to work on the car due to my using it for work... how many of you have multiple vehicles that you can have one laided up?... the 30 day return period had passed. Needless to say, when I removed the shafts from the car I found that both shafts had the wrong transaxle ends... which you can't see until removed from the car. Even the email I received to review the product had the correct part numbers I had ordered... confirmed on their web site. They would have nothing to do with the problem and that I should have known that the part was wrong. They would hear nothing about wrong parts being sent in correctly marked packages. Under NO circumstances buy products from this company. They take no responsibility for their screwups and you end up wasting your time contacting them and getting on the proverbial pat on the head... "We'll set up a ticket to review your issue." Again, I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM PARTS GEEK!

I bought a catalytic converter engine pipe for my Subaru from Parts Geek. It failed in 11 mos. They told me it was still under warranty and I need to send it back for maybe a refund but no replacement.
That part cost me about $500. I broke down on the road and had to get towed. I have to pay to have it removed. I have to pay to ship it back with insurance.
Then I need to wait to see if they will refund my money. All the while my car is at the shop!
Other reviewers have sent their bad items back and never saw their refund or even the parts again!
If I don't have a car I can't work. Now I have no car or alternative transportation. I can't afford another $500 cat converter. Based on the poor reviews of Parts Geek I doubt this will end well for me! I don't trust them! What ever happened to honest company's with integrity? They take no responsibility. I guess I screwed up and should of read more reviews on this greedy company, they always hold the cards!
Next time I will pay more and buy local…..

They had me fill out a positive review for a discount of $5.00. I get the discount code and it DOESN"T work so now I've been on a chat that has lasted just about 2 hours to find out that the code isn't valid for orders over 200.00 so I change the order to make it work and still not valid code. The customer service is still got me on ""IGNORE"" I normally don't get pissed off but this is ridiculous!

Bought a part from these people that was with 12 month warranty. After 2 months tried to EXCHANGE, lol I wasn't even trying to return it. The Ebay link to return/swap it is broken, bc they discontinued the part. When i explained that, 12 times, i got the same "form letter" reply - 12 times. Kept sending me in a loop. On and on and on, until finally I figured out it was Partgeeks problem. So I called them and talked to well over 12 people now, and have ALL their names. I have clear documentation of what happened dated and every single one of their return replies. This is a scam company who sadly have several decent people there that I feel sorry for whose hands are tied. They've cost me thousands of dollars even though the documentation is clear when the problem began they're not even warranting the original part that has a 12 months warranty much less all of damage since then that could have been mitigated had they returned a phone call or responded to an email. Sad. Yesterday I've been Gan calling simply asking for the corporate phone number and address to the maileep legal paperwork they keep putting me on hold for hours at a time or requesting to call me back which they never do with the exception of one kind of 1 guy there who knows me and I can tell feels bad about the whole situation. Even so he will not give me the phone number or the legal address to send paperwork it's disgusting way did you business And I'm fine they're gonna outcome I fortunately have more time than money and prepaid legal. I am 2 things: I am pissed off and I am loud.

Photos included here: Screen shot of pages and pages and pages of PLEAS to simply EXCHANGE the part - I wasn't even trying for refund.
Step one, Return to Ebay, click "Return Part."
Step Two: That link is broken, so send them a text or email on a different part they offer just to get a response. (They tell you to go back to the auction, "try again" they say, lol)
Step four: research the ship from address online, found shipper, called them, they could not have been mote understanding but zero% helpful.
Step Five: keep good records.

*******DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAMMER***********

Return Policy
March 15, 2022

I received a electric door latch for my 1994 dodge pickup and the door latch worked backwards from the other side
They wanted me to remove the door latch and send it back to them, and be without until they receive it and send me a new one.
Or I could purchase another one and send the defective one back to them. Who knows when you will receive a credit.
I think like most companies with a good reputation, will send another new one and then you send the defective part back.
I've dealt with others companies that will tell you to get rid of the part rather than pay the freight to return it.
The guy I talked to could give two $#*!s as to my request.
I wouldn't buy a bolt from this company.
Hopefully this will help another individual before they buy any parts from this poor company.
I will surely spread the word not to buy anything from this company. Parts Geek

I order a 2 part grill assembly for my broken grill. They sent the wrong part. They argued that I got the right part. I sent pictures to prove I received the wrong part. They refused to correct the mistake. They will not give me a full refund but, they want the parts returned.
