The company has garnered a predominantly negative reputation among customers, primarily due to significant issues with order accuracy and return processes. Many reviews highlight frustrations over receiving incorrect parts and the subsequent difficulty in obtaining refunds, with customers often bearing return shipping costs for errors not of their making. Additionally, the customer service experience is frequently described as inadequate, characterized by long wait times and unhelpful responses. While some customers noted prompt delivery of the correct items, the overall sentiment reflects a lack of reliability and support, leading to a strong recommendation to seek alternative suppliers.

Poor poor business on top of that apparently their employees don't know who their carrier is you will get the only statement I got from my bank was parts geek $35.22 but I sent their part back to him plus I had to pay for shipping back to them but I only got $19.22 back and my person I was talking to on my chat he didn't even know who is Carrie or was but said that $16 was for the carrier fee it was either FedEx or UPS he didn't know but I don't have two different statements on my bank saying $16 for UPS or FedEx and $19.22 for PartsGeek I have one statement parts geek 35.22 but like I said they do not give back taxes or shipping and you have to pay your shipping to return your part so your best bet is keep your part you can sell it for more yourself than to give it back to them yay yay what a business
I ordered a flywheel and clutch kit. You would think a kit would come with hardware. It did not and they would not help me even with pointing me in the right direction. A kit implies you have everything in the kit to do repair/project. I will never do business with theses jokers again
I had the worst experience with this so call 3rd party vendor. After ordering two(2) separate times for a single part, both instances I had to return the parts. Initially sent the wrong part, second time part was damaged. You think they would send me a new part for all the headaches and good faith but no! I'm done with this foolish outfit. Reimbursement and kick rocks parts geek!
I ordered a brake kit for a 2015 Cadillac but what showed was nothing of the sort. I have no idea what vehicle the brakes I received went to. I contacted them only to be told I was responsible for the return shipping which was 80% of the material cost.
I would think since they shipped the incorrect parts the return should have been their responsibility but they sure as heck don't take responsibility.
Never use them.
They took $350 of my money for steering gearbox for my truck. They refuse to provide the part, and refuse to refund my money. They refuse to even provide shipping info and claim their warehouse isn't telling them anything. FedEx says the part I ordered 10-20-22 was never picked-up.
This is theft, plain and simply.
Ordered parts from these people. They didn't come. I reached out and they said they would create a ticket. They got back and said... Oh, it's all been delivered. I asked for the tracking number with USPS, and they gave it.
USPS confirms it was not delivered. Packages were returned to sender when it was discovered the addressing was wrong.
So, USPS has returned the packages sent to the wrong address.
Yet, PartsGeek still want to argue they performed even though the parts have been returned to them and they still have our money. They WONT reply to requests for our money back or admit they have the parts that USPS records having returned to them... Can you say MAIL FRAUD!
First of all always check Amazon first as you will usually find it cheaper there. Don't depend on the customer service over the phone to get your order right. And say good by to your refund as it's almost impossible to get. Rudest customer service I've ever experienced.
Ordered a blower motor connector for my car and received a transmission screen kit instead. Called customer service and was told I would get a refund eventually for the part and shipping. They made it seem like a gift that they would refund my shipping cost. Now I have to take time out of my day to return the wrong part and was told I would eventually get a refund. I will then have to reorder the part if I want to get the right one sent. First and last experience with this company.
Would not help process wrong item or core return charge. Bad policy with shipping and returns. Overcharged and hidden fees, will not return.
3 weeks prior to a vacation my wife and I had been planning for a year for our anniversary, a road trip from Ohio to Cocoa Beach FL where we got married. I took my car in for an oil change and check. I knew the brakes were close to needing attention, and the garage I took it to confirmed my suspicions that I need new rotors and pads all the way around: they quoted me a price for the fix & alignment for just south of $1500.
If you've done break jobs before and have the right tools and parts, it's a fairly easy fix so I decided to do it myself and order the parts from PartsGeek. To ensure I would have them in time, I confirmed with their website that delivery would be "3-7 business days." On Day 8, I emailed them after tracking the package with FedEx. Fed Ex had no record of the package. Informing PartsGeek of the issue, they said they would "get back to me.'
Their next communication was to inform me that they were issuing me a refund?
No other "you're package seems to be lost," or anything like that. Just an email with the refund.
I had to rent a car, taking me $1000 over our vacation budget when a $300 fix would've sufficed. DWhile I appreciate not having to ask for a refund, this is horrible customer service and a way to do business.
0-10. Do NOT reccomend.
Ordered a tensioner pulley assembly. Came quickly, was the exact part I ordered. No issues. I was a little worried at first after reading reviews. Full stars from this kid!
I ordered a fuel pump for my specific car. The car requires 50-60 psi. I paid a mechanic for profession installation. Once installed the car wouldn't run properly. He checked the fuel pressure at the pump and it only put out 15 psi. Junk.
They need to get their inventory tracking in order and STOP with the preferential treatment of orders! This is the second time they refined my order WITHOUT explanation and NOT offering a solution to a customer! Get our sh&t together Jamie Brown…leaving a customer high and dry AGAIN to make your friends happy isn't the way to do business. It's supposed to be first come first served! I usually use rock auto of 1a auto…I'm going back to them! IDC if their deals may be better; they won't send them anyway!
Never order from them! Say they are in stock and are not. Call them and they say they are back in stock so reorder. The first credit has not been posted to account now wait for the next one to process. Good scam. Hold money and pay you latet
I do not generally write reviews, however this time I will make an exception. I received the wrong part and contacted partsgeek to remedy the situation. Had planned on just buying the right part from them and returning the wrong one. This could not happen after the awful customer service I received. The rep literally started an argument with me and took his time fulfilling my request to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor was shallow and dispirited causing me to just cancel. The return policies are atrocious and left me paying a quarter of the order just to get a part of my money back. They have the parts don't get me wrong but they do not care that you are spending your hard earned money with them. Go elsewhere.
Order taker failed to put down my complete address, i immediately called back and was assured it had been corrected. A week later i received a notice from UPS that package was undeliverable because of incomplete address. I had to make a 35 mile round trip to UPS to get it corrected. Partsgeek charged me $18.98 for a 1 1/2 pound package shipping. I contacted them about an adjust to the shipping price, they refused said "too bad". I will never again do business with them, the customer pays for their mistakes.
The sale states a 12 month warranty I purchased the clutch kit and had it installed by a mechanic who has 28 years of experience
The clutch release bearing failed after 2 weeks
All I get from parts geek is a fun around about replacing the bearing I strongly suggest you purchase from rockauto never had a problem witj
No respect towards their customer. EBay sellers are more reliable, then big companies, nowadays. GFYS!
Bought a remanufactured steering rack. Started to go through the core return process only to find out they want me to ship the core all the way across the country to their warehouse in NJ. Shipping is going to be more than the core refund, and they expect you to pay it. What really irks me is they shipped the rack to me from CA, which is a third of the distance and might actually have been affordable.
To make matters worse, the box they shipped it in was covered in oil. Their policy says they'll refuse leaking core returns at the loading dock, so even if I did ship the drained core back to them, it's going to look like it's leaking so I'm not even confident I'll get the core charge back.
Basically, just expect to eat the core charge from these guys. I'm not risking an extra $140 just to hope they refund the original $140 charge.
Practices like this are bad for the remanufactured parts system and the community as a whole. Knowing this, I won't buy from PartsGeek again.
Parts Geek WILL NOT pay for return shipping if you order online. They were very rude and put the blame on the customer. Heavy parts can cost over $100 to ship returns. There is NO NOTICE of this policy on their website. Very poor customer service and bad business practices. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
Answer: Because they're unprofessional, unethical, communist fuckin jackasses!
Answer: Parts geek had the rudest and most infuriating customer service I've encountered ever.
Answer: You'll pay plenty for shipping and if they give you the wrong part, you'll pay to ship it back. It's in their terms. You pay shipping both ways, regardless of fault.
Answer: Because they are either crooks, or they have some nut in the warehouse grabbing whatever and sending it to you even if it's wrong wrong wrong!
