Counterfeit Products

OvERSTOCK.COM SOLD ME A COUNTERFEIT WATCH

I purchased a Tag Heuer watch from Overstock.com in June of 2020 with a 2 year warranty. The watch needed a repair in Oct of 2021. I was instructed to send the watch directly to Tag Heuer for service. I overnighted the watch and 3 days later I received an email from Tag Heuer informing me that the watch was COUNTERFEIT and they would not provide any repairs. I contacted Overstock to discuss getting an AUTHENTIC Tag Heuer replacement watch. It was truly the worst service I have ever encountered. They jerked me around with unhelpful emails, delays and passed the buck for months offering me nothing at all to correct the situation or compensate me for this horrible experience. I got nothing but lip service from start to finish. I was told that they would provide a credit for the original purchase price and NO credit for the 1 1/2 years of interest I had paid on a COUNTERFEIT watch. They gave me absolutely nothing. I had to buy another watch in a style I didn't want and had to beg for a measly discount. I ordered the new watch on March 7th, 2022. After waiting over 3 weeks for the new watch, Low and behold, the watch I had selected was mysteriously going to take 16 weeks to get. This situation was never escalated to anyone with authority to make it right. I made a terrible decision buying from Overstock and will never use them again. Horrible Experience...

Terrible service

BEWARE TERRIBLE SERVICE IF YOU WANT TO RETURN ITEM FROM 3RD PARTY SELLER. I purchased waterproof gloves from Overstock. Although the gloves stated that they were a size medium, the gloves were a size small. I contacted Overstock countless times to try and get free shipping to return gloves. Was told I had to contact 3rd party seller, which I did. I was told after sending pictures etc that I was the only person to have this problem. I went to Amazon to order gloves, and Amazon clearly states in the glove description that the gloves run small and to order a size up. Tried contacting Overstock and rather than give me a $10 return label, ( have spent a lot of money at Overstock over the years) I was told that there was nothing that Overstock could do. There are many issues at play here, but the bottom line is that it is terrible customer service, and what Overstock states is their return policy it is NOT.
Hugely disappointed and although I try and support other businesses, next time Amazon will get my business. I know that Amazon would have allowed this return in a heartbeat

No Accountability for Defective Items

I purchased a $500 chaise lounge couch which lasted me all of forty five days before it buckled due to a defective internal frame. Overstock wouldn't provide a refund or a replacement. They took no accountability and their customer service is all through text. Buyer beware!

We ordered these Gaspar Cigar Leather recliners in black. When they arrived, the chairs looked good and are comfortable. We placed them in a room that doesn't see a lot of use. We'd used the recliners maybe less than a dozen times over a 3 month period? We noticed that one of them was making a binding noise when reclining and it had a lean to the footrest. I reached out to Overstock, and they sent me over to Guardsman (We purchased the 5yr extended warranty) We filled the claim form per Guardsman request and sent it in. (regardless of if you fill the claim out online or hardcopy, you still need to mail it in). Long story short, Guardsman declined the warranty because the date I put on the form when I first noticed it to when Guardsman received the claim was past their 7day window. It was 13 days. Needless to say, after several phone calls and emails between Guardsman, Overstock & the Manufacture not one of them wants to stand by the product and repair it, replace it or even offer a credit? If you're looking for furniture this would be the last place I would look. We were skeptical at first purchasing furniture online from anyone, but after reading reviews of Overstocks and their return policy as well as purchased the 5yr extended warranty we thought this might work? As I was polite & patient with Overstock & Guardsman to try and have this resolved to no avail as they don't seem interested in standing behind their products. However, I will say everyone I spoke to at Overstock was polite and seemed genuine in resolving the issue, not so much for Guardsman everyone I spoke to there were short and dis-ingenuine. After going through this process and realizing how polished and knowing how to use calming words shows definite training. I'm assuming this is a majority of their calls they're dealing with? As you can imagine if you read this, we'll be closing our account and no longer purchase anything from Overstock.com, Wayfair or any of the other online business as Overstock has confirmed our hesitations from buying something like furniture online.

Once overstocked.com gets your money you can't get it back. In store credit only and it doesn't matter what the issue.
Bought drapes that were described as linen colored they were but the lining was gray. Wouldn't work. Returned them. Can't get anything but store credit even though they were not as described. Then the customer service representative conned me into joining their overstocked club saying the return would be easier and I would not have to pay return shipping fees... but that was not true.
So, if you have to return an item you won't see your money. You'll be forced to spend the credit at overstocked.com

Beware of reviews!

I personally love Overstock.com! But, I noticed something strange when I review a product... 5 star review, says, "posted publically immediately!" Whereas, anything short of 5 stars, says, "review may be posted in 3-5 days upon approval!"

Poor customer service

I received an item that was not as the description stated. They wanted me to pay half the price of the item to send back. I called them, and after 15 mins of nonsense jibberish from the representative, I got no where. Now I'm stuck with it.

I don't know what it going on at Overstock but there has definitely been a shift in service. I have ordered from Overstock for YEARS but my experience with them 3 weeks ago was so horrible that I will never purchase another item through them again. As of current date, my order status is still in limbo and charges are still pending on my account for an order that was cancelled almost a month ago. Buyer beware - there is something not right going on at Overstock.

Beware of Overstock.com

If you find yourself needing to return an item to Overstock, the shipping fees end up being over half of the cost of the item. Total racket! Make sure you are 100% positive about what you're buying. My recommendation is to use Amazon always.

Poor customer servicer policy

Bought 8 curtain panels. Seven (7) were the right size and one (1) was not. All were packaged with the same item number so the problem was at the China factory. Did a chat with Overstock, told them it was not their fault, it was packaged wrong. Problem, overstock should have just SENT ME the correct panel. INSTEAD they created a whole return process that would take my time, two delivery times and their warehouse personnel working twice. Where is their logic? Who knows, sticking with Amazon.

I like the rates and the variety. I appreciate the free shipping and excellent customer service. Good for internet shoppers, busy folks, handicapped persons who want to shop from home, and so on. Great furniture, carpets, dressers, and mattresses, of which I recently purchased a fantastic one during the pandemic last year.

Stay away

Recently, I place two orders for handbags. I paid for it using Apple Pay, which had my contact information, such as address, phone number, etc. When the packages showed delivery, I searched everywhere for them. I contacted them using chat to tell them the packages were not delivered to my house. I was told to contact their third party seller if they didn't show up in three days. The next morning after calling the post office, neighbors, and spending hours trying to find them, I finally was able to find them. They had the wrong address on them. I found them almost a mile from my house. After I found them I once again used chat to let Overstock know that I had found them. I today received the fifth email stating that this matter has been resolved and that there will be no replacements or refunds because it was delivered to my house and that it went to the correct address. I guess they feel I don't know my own home address. Customer Service is a waste of time for this company. Order from them at your own risk and good luck trying to cancel a order. I tried to after a ten minute period. I was told I couldn't. The item I tried to cancel had the wrong address again. So, I tried to get the address corrected. Guess what, I was told that couldn't be done either. This is a scam company.

I ordered a bed frame from Overstock, but realized I put in the wrong shipping address. I reached out to see if they could change it, and they said, no problem, they'd do so.

The next day, I check the tracker, and I saw that the package had been sent back to sender! I reached out to Overstock again, and was basically told that there was nothing they could do, that they'd issue me a refund, and can't even place the item on hold for me because it's out of stock. They are going to issue me a refund when the item gets back to their warehouse, which will take another week.

Unbelievable, uncaring customer representatives. The unwillingness I will never purchase another product from here again.

I purchased island stools from Overstock. They didn't even last a year. The sent 2 new ones after 2 flat-out broke- the replacements lasted 6 months. The design was defective. They do not stand behind their products. I left honest reviews on their Facebook posts and they blocked me from sharing my experience. Horrible products, Horrible company.

Tried to cancel order within 2 hours of ordering

I attempted to cancel an order of a bookcase within 2 hours of placing it after realizing it wouldn't fit properly with the other furniture in the room. One business day later I was informed that it could not be cancelled, and would be shipped within 2 days. The item had still not shipped, but yet they were unable to cancel it. I contacted customer service to get clarification and find out what options were available, and was told there was no reason listed for why this item could not be cancelled since it would not ship for days. The customer service rep reported they would put in an inquiry to get more info that would be passed on to me by phone call. I heard nothing back, and my next notification was 2 days later that it had shipped. When I called back to request a pre-paid return label, since I felt I made a good faith effort to cancel this item before it shipped, I was told I would have to pay half of the return fee. The item was $200, the return shipping cost was $120, so I would still be responsible for $60 of the return fee (almost half the cost of the item itself). I was told there was nothing else that could be done at that point.

Overstock is NOT what we consumers have come to accept in terms of online service.

Scammed

I purchased a sofa, coffee table and end tables in Nov. 2021 the coffee table and end tables were shipped without incident, the sectional sofa on the other hand was where the problems started, on the day of delivery my wife took a vacation day so she could let the delivery guys in as i paid for the white glove service which is delivery, setup and removal of all packaging material, i received a call when they were at my address and the delivery guy told me they could not bring it into house because of covid and they were going to leave it in my back yard, (while it was raining) remember, i paid for the complete delivery service and did not hear a word from shipping company about non deliveries or any exemptions. When i got home a couple hours later my wife said she had to pay the delivery guys cash to put the sectional sofa which came in two separate boxes, in back door and it was still in boxes! Now as i was reading other reviews i saw there were other complaints about shipping company, to which overstock replied they were not responsible, yes they are responsible as they did not give myself or the other complainants the option of requesting their preferred shipping company. I will not be ordering anything from this company until they refund the extra money i paid for service and the cash my wife paid to have the actual sofa brought into house. I cancelled my Club-O membership and also left this same review on Overstocks website, i did not include photos or purchase info at this time pending legal action.

Frustrating and unacceptable customer service. Ordered a nightstand and it arrived with damage. I expected a refund or replacement. They took no responsibility for resolving. Customer rep said I must communicate the issue with the vendor. So for the last week I've been emailing with a company rep in China whose English is barely literate. No options…they want to replace the damaged piece: "it need to shipping from another countries to your end.
Usual it will need few time to you end. Please no worries, we will push courier more fast to you end." It's already been 2 weeks since my original order with a dozen pieces lying on the floor. This is a joke. Why am I not laughing! Never again.

Dont order if you want anything to arrive on time

Worst company ever when it comes to shipping. They lie about shipping times in hopes you'll order and then just roll with it when they 'cant' deliver on time. I will NEVER purchase from this company again. I ordered an item for Christmas back on Nov 23 and was told it would arrive in 10 days. When it wasnt delivered I contacted Overstock... I was told it wont arrive in time for Christmas. Their website at this very moment states the item will arrive by Dec 23 if ordered today, the 13th. If you are counting on something arriving when they say it will, don't order from this company. This is the second time this has happened. Never again. I learned my lesson. Now I don't have the gift I was planning for my son for Christmas.
