I ordered a couch that cost close to $2000. I received no notice of shipping and just found a couch in my driveway one day. The couch was completly covered in packaging so obviously I could not see the couch. I had 3 people come to my house to drag this heavy couch inside and move my old couch out only to find when I opened it that it was not the couch I ordered. I contacted OverStock and they gave me the run around for days. I finally spoke with someone that asked me to send them a picture of the couch and the packing tag which I did. The couch I received was not the same style or color that I ordered. For 2 more weeks I received more run around and then was told that in 4-6 weeks they would pick up the wrong couch and "Possibly" deliver the couch I ordered. I have requested a refund and will NEVER shop with OverStock EVER AGAIN! They behaved as if I was lying or just didn't want the couch I ordered. I have been forced to just cover this worng couch with blankets and wait for them to pick it up. HORRIBLE COMPANY DO NOT BUY FROM OVERSTOCK!

Do make a return

I bought two runners. The binding on both were both poorly done. I was going to return them. One it would have cost me money to return to them and the other was half the cost of runner. Something that cost me $143. Would cost me $90. To return. They also fudge their reviews. They refused my review and picture. Buyer beware and I'll never buy there again.

Although I liked the dresser when it came in, it came in with a defective drawer pull. Contacted Customer service and was promised to get a replacement drawer pull. Waiting 2 months for the replacement. Contacted customer service again and they said the part was in and the manufacturer would be sending it out. Another week goes by, and no update or tracking number. Called again. Now they said they don't have the replacement part. I have been lied to so many times it's ridiculous. Now they offered a token amount for me to go out and try to find my own replacement. Good luck with that. Sure I could get a drawer pull that won't match, but spending nearly $2000 for a dresser that now will look like a garage sale item is also ridiculous. They are willing to send me a whole new dresser. Think about this. Send me a new one which will cost them big money in shipping. I also have to send them back the old one that was already in use waiting for the drawer pull part. I have to disassemble it and remove it from my house, reassemble the new one and once again move it into the house. I am not a young man. I am a senior and moving heavy furniture is not easy for me. All of this over s silly drawer pull. Overstock customer service is crap. Furniture of America (the manufacturer) is crap. Do yourself a big favor and don't order from Overstock, because if you do and something is wrong with your order... good luck, you'll need it.

In view of the information that came out yesterday at the Jan6 hearings, I will no longer be shopping with your company... Your CEO participated in reinforcing the lies, the cheats, the violence upon this country. Thats about as bad as it gets... will not spend my money there at Overstock or with My Pillow... say the truth, live the truth, stop the lies..

I ordered a sofa and matching chair, tables. When the sofa did not get delivered after 10-15 days; I contacted the customer care, and they mentioned that the item ordered was out of stock and it hasn't been shipped yet. They never even tried to intimate me about the out of stock concern, in fact they mentioned that the item was in stock at the time of purchase. The sad thing is that they still charged my credit card.

Costly returns

This is an average canvas but it did not match my room the way I thought it would. So, I decided to return it and keep looking. When I went through the process of requesting a return and printing the return label for $26.00, I learned it would cost me $26.00, the canvas cost $79.00. With the cost to return, it's almost not worth returning the item. I'm very disappointed. I was not totally disappointed in Overstock at that time. But, as I wrote a review, it was denied. So, you can't even write a review on your true experience. Now I won't purchase from them.

Ordered a storage ottoman. The first product had quality issues. Still waiting on the replacement. The order was originally placed on 5/31. The expected delivery of the replacement is 6/21; no expedited shipping. Poor customer care.

Beware I bought a wool rug from Overstock that carried clothes moths. Fast forward thousands of dollars in remediation and the problem is still present. Overstock will not take full responsibility and initially asked me to hold onto rug as they wanted it returned during which time the moths laid eggs and caused a massive infestation. They don't check the rugs before they send it out. Horrible company!

Fraud!

I reported Overstock to the BBB as they have lied and find NOTHING to assist me. They not only told me I wasn't able to cancel my pending orders but they also shipped my items to the wrong address after I called them multiple times to change my items.

I ordered a memory foam mattress for over $700, it was supposed to be medium, its awful, so soft you just fall into it and even though its 12" deep you go straight to the bed base. I complained, they said it was faulty, that they would refund my money, call me in 24 hrs to arrange collection, nothing happened, I called 6 times, emailed, different story every time. Now they email telling me it cannot be returned. I wont get a refund. Disgusting service, nowhere online does it say it cannot be returned.

Worst customer service experience ever

It took more than 15 calls and emails before I eventually gave up on trying to get my issue resolved. They were so disorganised, having multiple reps call me about the issue and yet no one ever being able to resolve the issue or following up on it. The item I ordered was damaged beyond repair when it arrived. When I filled out the form on their site to get it replaced, they didn't process the order TWO times, then it was a 2 week wait for replacement, and there was not accurate information about delivery. My concerns were not acknowledged, they did nothing to try to fix the situation, and made it seem like they would be helpful—only to do nothing over and over. It should not take this much effort to replace the item that arrived beyond repair. Never want to shop with them again!

Extremely dissatisfied!

We ordered a chaise lounge for our unborn daughters nursery and were shipped half of the chair (base, and arm) in a box called A. We contacted Overstock to see where box B was (the hardware, legs, and back) and had to convince them that there was actually a box B, although it clearly stated on the shipment, box 1 of 2. We waited patiently for a month to receive the rest of the chaise to no avail. We just had a courier pick up Box A and finally received notice that our refund is being processed. We have had to make call upon call over this ordeal to Overstock, the only saving grace was a lady in the International team named Denise F. She was helpful and finally got us on track to get the first box gone and money back to us ASAP. We still go not have any idea where box B is and may receive it one day, and then we have to call overstock again for a second courier to come and pick that up, that's if it ever comes, who knows. It is hard to wrap your head around paying ~ $860.00 CAD for something and to end up a month later with nothing and waiting for your refund to process. Hard pill to swallow. It would be next to impossible for Overstock to ever come back from this with us as customers. It would be a risk just not worth us taking. We weren't even offered one thing in lieu of our time, our aggravation, and discomfort. I imagine that they would hope to do better.

I bought a Vilano bike for $405 from OVERSTOCK and it was damaged, called them and was told they would replace it. Liars big time. So they play games, cant find my order everytime i call, then after many calls and emails they want to give me $15 credit and refuse to replace it. I want a new bike because i paid for a new bike not damaged goods. Stay away from Overstock they will burn you nowadays. I wouldnt even give them 1 star.

Ordered the chenille recliner based on website description stating the power recliner also had a power headrest. It DOES NOT have a power headrest. Overstock is not concerned with this website description that promises a recliner with a feature that it will not have when it arrives at your house. No help in returning the item either. A sale was made and noone is concerned about the deceptive and inaccurate description of the product. Will NEVER shop there again.

WORST EXPERIENCE!

We bought a $450 sidebar that had terrible directions and the doors do not line up. In order to send it back, they will charge $120. The other option they gave me was to take it to donation and get a receipt, which I did. They said that the receipt had to be their overstock symbol. They did not mention this so I got a basic receipt stating what was donated and to overstock.com's name. They will not accept it. This is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. CHOOSE AMAZON! So upset with this company and would NEVER recommend buying from them.

Deplorable Customer Service

I purchased a $4000. 00 entertainment from Overstock.com that does not offer any sort of service, for a price, to assemble the products they sell. Therefore, you must hire a service on your own. The order consisting of 5 large cartons weighing 800# was delivered on March 11 and I made arrangements for a service to come on March 14 to assemble the entertainment center. After moving around the items in my house to make room for the entertainment center, they went into the garage and proceeded to open the cartons and after opening 3 cartons, they found 2 pieces to be damaged and were unable to continue the job. At that point I had them leave and had to pay them for their travel and time spent on the job which was $318.00 which I have an invoice for and a charge on my credit card. I called Overstock and they said they would make arrangements to pick up the damaged product but customer service would not reimburse me for what I had to pay for the assembly service that could not be completed due to the damage quoting they DO NOT PAY FOR ASSEMBLY OF PRODUCTS. I understand this but in this instance they could not complete the job because of extensive damage and were entitled to be paid for their time and service performed. I pointed this out to the customer service agent, Tyler H, and he tells me I should have inspected the product before hiring the assemblers. There were 5 large cartons weighing 800# and I am an 85 year old woman who uses a walker and could not have inspected those cartons. A 6 ft. Man could not have done so and further more those truckers were not going to hang around for anyone to TRY AND INSPECT THOSE CARTONS as they had more deliveries to make. I spoke to this Tyler on at least 10 occasions as well as there were many e-mails and in no way was he going to give any sort of reimbursement for what I had to pay because they sent me damaged merchandise. Had the merchandise not been damaged I would not be seeking any type of reimbursement. As I said I am an 85 year old woman. I recently lost my retired military husband of 63 years and in my 85 years have never experienced such deplorable customer service.

Worst Company

Ordered a bed in January and paid for expedited shipping. Shipping scheduled in March with a 4 hour delivery window. They called 10min out, 30 min after their very large window. Had to turn around to receive the item and they waited 3 min and left. Rescheduled delivery with a 5 hour window… no call, no show at all. Called 2 days later to let me know they forgot to load my bed frame in the truck and now needed to find another company to deliver with no future delivery date set. Customer service agent can barely speak English and kept reading off a script. Frustrating. Avoid overstock

I purchased a protection plan and now that I need it, no one at the company or third-party vendors will help me. So essentially, I gave the company $40 for no reason. I am livid and exhausted. I can't believe they outright stole from with all the evidence I provided for my purchase.

Overstock.com was sold to a pirate sometime in the 2000s. They used to be a great company worn real overstock liquidations. Shipping was $3.95, no matter if you purchased a quilt or a bookcase. The current owner wanted the name and immediately turned out into another conglomeration like Wayfair - lots of Chinese, drop-shipped goods and no real overstocks. No real bargains anymore. Sad...
