Great values and deals are to be found at Overstock.com. Anyone who is a "smart shopper," can probably tell you about this website. It is well known that Overstock offers numerous products and merchandise at discounted prices, and they have a great customer service department. Often times I browse their website just to see all the great offerings. All of my purchases at Overstock were fulfilled to my liking, and I have absolutely no complaints to make about their website.
Great merchandise selection. Pretty good price. I think this website is good as long as you're patient to browse around
We purchased a futon that has a left side and a right side. When we opened the boxes, each side was a different color. We contacted customer care and all we can do is ship it back or keep it. One box was cut open so packing it up would have been problematic. They offered to credit us $5 to purchase a new box. Really? I guess we're stuck with an ugly futon. We won't deal with a company that won't back up their products. I guess they don't need our business that badly.
This website and service suck. Non-delivery constantly and products are often opened or used. If overstock can mess it up or strew you off they will.
I purchased perfume for Christmas gift on Dec. 10,2013 thru Overstock.com. On Dec. 25th I discovered it was never delivered. After contacting PayPal I was informed it was supposed to have been delivered by FedEx at 1:08 pm on Dec. 26th however it was never received. Overstock.com never made any attempt to help or resolve the issue. I doubt it would take 16 days transit time for FedEx to deliver the gift. Had I not used PayPal to purchase it no doubt in my mind I would have been screwed by Overstock.com. I will never do business with them again suggest the same for all.
I bought a modern lighting fixture from them. The price was great and I love it! Looks way more expensive. Everything I have bought from them arrived quickly. I bought a CZ ring and they sent me the wrong one. Didn't bother sending it back. I have never dealt with customer service, so I can't speak to that. I bought two other CZ rings and they look like the real thing, for a very reasonable price.
Shipping was quick - item was a good price - it's a site you have to visit often to check what's there. I will definitely order from them again.
I ordered perfume for my wife for Christmas and it turns out it was one that she did not like. Contacted overstock to ask about getting a refund or exchange and was told that because it was a personal item, they cannot issue a refund or exchange. I responded to them asking why a perfume was considered a personal item but did not receive an answer to that question and was told bluntly that as far as they were concerned the issue had been resolved and that they would not issue a refund or accept the perfume in exchange for credit. I will never buy from them again and strongly recommend anyone wanting to buy perfume from them to not do so.
Placed order 18 days ago, found out it isn't even in Canada yet, only coming from Michigan, phone line don't work, not feeling good about this
I have ordered a Rokinon High Definition 8mm F3.5 Fisheye Lens from overstock.com last week, the order was aproved, I received a confirmation mail, so I was sure the item was on its way home, today, just out of curiosity, I decided to check on the status of my order only to find out it had been cancelled, with no explanation at all. I contacted customer support to find out what was the matter, where ‘Dan' told me it was a problem with the credit card, and I should contact their credit department because he was unable to do anything about it. I know for a fact my credit card is fine because i placed several orders the same day and this one is the only one that had problems with it, (by the way, I was nowhere near the limit on the card).
This was my first experience with overstock.com and is going to be the last one too, from now on i'll stick with ebay and amazon, when they have a problem with your order you at least get an email stating so.
I ordered a refurbished laptop computer. The item itself was fine, but the ordering experience was terrible. When I entered my shipping information into the form online, it showed up incorrectly AFTER I submitted the order. I asked someone at Overstock if I could change it and they told me I had to cancel the order and reorder it, and that they couldn't make any changes once the order was submitted. This seemed crazy to me but okay, so I did that and AGAIN, the same thing happened. I had to place and cancel the order FIVE TIMES before I figured out how to get the right address to show up properly in the shipping-to fields. Kicker number one... they charged my debit card ALL FIVE TIMES for the $400+ item (so count that, a deduction of over $2,000 on my bank account) and told me that even though the cancellation when through, the refund could take about a week to put the money back in my account. WHAT? Are you kidding me. Then... Kicker Number Two... when the order was shipped, SURPRISE, it had the wrong shipping information on it and I had to actually track down the package to get it. AWEFUL. AWEFUL. AWEFUL. If you have to order something on Overstock, be very very careful.
I love this site. I bought my down comforter and Egyptian cotton sheets for a fraction of what they would of cost anywhere else, and the comforter and sheets are very nice quality. I also ordered three throw rugs for my rather long and wide hallway in my house. The total for all 3 rugs was under $100. The rugs look great and are holding up well despite our two cats running around on them. The carpets had obviously been stored for a while as it took months for them to finally lay flat, but they were worth every penny, our friends think we spent hundreds more than we actually did.
Just DON"T order from Overstock! I ordered and paid for a mattress topper over 2 months ago. They claimed they told me in 10 days that the item was backordered... a LIE! I have been trying for 5-6 weeks to send this back as I'd ordered another one from a another company, could not WAIT! They first told me it would cost me $11.00 of my refund to pay the postage back to them, I told them I would not pay this. They are still jacking me around, telling me they'd sent label, which has never arrived.
I've had trouble with this company before, please don't order from them!

Customer service worst I have ever encountered in my life. This store is garbage and shouldn't exist. They oversell the quality of the items 5x over. I was just shopping for watches and they were selling a watch $97 and they out a MSRP: $890? What the **** is this ****? ******* GARBAGE. Then the ******* customer service exits out of my chat 2 times while I'm in the middle of responding for "taking too long to respond". ******* garbage. Now I sent the watch that I ordered back I order to buy Christmas presents for my ******* children. It got there yesterday and is yet to be processed I got on chat once again they said it's going to take about 5 days to process? 5 ******* DAYS? Then shipping is going to take another 3 days to ship out and a week to get here. It's gonna be a sad Christmas up in this mother******. ATTENTION THIS SITE IS THE WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE I SWEAR. DONT SHOP HERE YOU'LL regret it so much. I DO
These people are completely clueless. I have been waiting 2 weeks for my order and it has never left the warehouse. They won't reship it or refund my money. They keep assuring me that someone will contact me regarding this issue. I've been waiting 3 days for that to happen. Good luck if you choose to use them...

Recently ordered furniture from them. Never imagined of ordering it online, but even that transaction was great! Arrived earlier than anticipated and exactly as pictured.
WORST shopping experience ever! I ordered items on the 1st of Dec. I looked at the shipping and one said it was in transit, however, the other was not updated at all! I contacted them, and they said they were both shipped. Then I get an email saying that they miscounted their inventory and I will be refunded and get a $10 store credit. So i contact them again to confirm, and what do you know he told me it was shipped. I paid $19.99 for a ring, which they said they would refund me $18.27 NOT THE PRICE I PAID! I look on my capital one card, and of course there was not a refund there. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM OF A WEBSITE! Won't be shopping at overstock.com AGAIN!
Answer: Hey, I would be very careful. I have transacted with Overstock three times and I don't believe there is as much security in terms of guarantee as with Amazon. And, if you buy items fulfilled by Amazon (meaning the product ships from Amazon's warehouse) you are even more guaranteed. For example, I bought some dinner napkins from an Amazon seller, fulfilled by Amazon. They were not what they were supposed to be and Amazon issued me a credit immediately and scheduled UPS to pick up my item to return. I'm very confident that with Amazon you will get quality service and if the product is not as described or substandard you will be in better hands especially with Amazon fulfilled items. Overstock is just not up to par and I wouldn't purchase something like a medicated cream from Overstock until they get it together.
Answer: I used a credit card on Overstock when purchasing my bed. It was years ago, I still sleep on it. I had no problems using my credit card on Overstock
