My experience with Overstock has been stellar. I had a very frustrating situation recently where a piece of furniture (that was less expensive on Overstock than anywhere else) arrived damaged due to shipping. They immediately shipped another which was unfortunately even more damaged - again, clearly due to shipping. They could not have been more accessible (okay, there was a bit of a wait due to pandemic-era staff reductions, but still...), apologetic and professional. A full refund was issued, even though only a percentage off was fair for the damaged first item which I kept. I've purchased many things from Overstock over the years, have never had a problem due to company operations and will continue to shop there.
I ordered a bright pink pillow. It looks exactly as I had hoped. Will look great on the cream colored sofa that should arrive next week. Very satisfied.
I spent over $2600 on a living room sectional. After 5 weeks it supposedly arrived in my town. A week later im getting the scarecrow from Oz excuses as to why 2 parts out of 5 can't be found. Thanks Overstock for a crappy performance with your shippers. Never again..
I purchased patio furniture on May 26. I was told 1-4 weeks for delivery. Contacted customer service via text (because you can not get them by phone). After 8 days my order was not even shipped yet. They assured me that it would be ship June 9th. Went to check on my order status on june 10 and Overstock cancelled the order. No email to inform me. When i contacted customer service I was told that they were out of stock when I placed the order. They said sorry for the inconvenience. STAY AWAY FROM OVERSTOCK

It's June 8th and still nothing! I can't get a response from a real person and I'm just getting the run around! The prices may look good but the stress of it all is NOT WORTH IT! Always something with this place smh
The first time I tried calling them to see if there were pieces in the collection that I ordered which was patio furniture we're coming back in stock. It was the Lowell collection. They have yet to answer my question. Also I ordered some patio chairs and the board where you adjust the back was split and you cannot adjust the back of this lounge chair. I have only had the chairs for about 2 weeks
I placed an order for outdoor furniture on 5/18/20 and again on 5/20/20 for a smaller item. The smaller item came damaged. I am not sure if they are really shipping a new piece or not. It's been 4 days and no confirmation of shipping. The furniture still hasn't shipped the shipping date keeps changing. It has been 3 weeks with texts of apologies and emails of changed ship dates. I always loved Overstock but will never order from them again. Our daughter is getting married on the 14th. Lots of family coming in and the back deck is empty...
I purchased furniture items which was advertised as no finance charge for payment of 18 months by openning Comenity bank card. I usually don't trust this type of advertising after bad experience of Synchronize bank but decided to give a try based on well known name of Overstock.com.
The first month statement showed no finance charge for the payment of far exceeding the minimum payment. But the second statement shows loan sharking amount of finance charge.
I tried to call Overstock.com but no phone number was available and chat line was virtually impossible to connect. So I called Commenity bank and it was impossible to understand what the agent was imitating fluent English in foreign country. After repeating the same words the phone was transferred to two different English imitating agents and I was finally told that the bank had nothing to do with the transaction and I have to contact Overstock.com.
This is prevailing pattern of fraud committed by big name finance and retail organization by taking advantage of hassle of resolving dispute by using foreign answering service and non English speaking agents.
I immediately paid off the balance and shredded the card. That's why I have never bought anything from any retail outlet except Costco and Amazon for the last twenty years. There is reason why those two are so successful while others keep closing the door. Never again.
Worst place to order if you need to return, even just few minutes after ordering.

Ordered a round 8 foot wool rug. It arrived in expected time frame. Looked exactly like pictures in ad. Excellent quality. Very happy with my purchase!
Terrible business and customer service! I have ordered from many other companies, but this one has had issues with all 10 items I have ordered. No one is reachable on the phone and unless your questions fit into their algorithm, there is no resolve! I ordered something through Walmart.com and apparently it was third party thru Overstock. I thought it had to be refunded through Walmart, but I had to go through Overstock. When I finally got through to them, only with Walmart's help, they refused to let me return my item- a set of bath rugs for credit because it was past 30 days. Really, when I have been trapped in my house for days on end? Yet they ask us to make exceptions for them due to CoVid- no phone, late shipments, broken or dinged items, no communication as to when things might ship or deliver, no answers except for frequently asked questions! Terrible service and they certainly don't care about the customer. Unlike Wayfair who after ordering a few items personally called me to make certain product, delivery, service, etc. was all good. Not to mention their pricing was better. Do not use Overstock!
ACTUALLY, I NEVER RECEIVED THE PRODUCT... OVERSTOCK strung me along for 3 months saying it is about to be delivered... delayed... delayed... delayed... THEN THEY TELL ME IT IS OUT OF STOCK?! WHO DOES THAT? Almost impossible to reach Support (other companies have fared well during pandemic)... I called many times 9am and text with reply will be back to me with answer in 4 hours... THEN, i get another stupid text at 8pm they are closed for the day WITHOUT RESPONDING TO THE ISSUE... happened multiple times. I actually spoke on phone a couple of times and neither knew anything about the products (regurgitated what was on the website) or the procedure and only called to try and soften the blow of a shifty company.
Cannot get my address correct. I have corrected my address 4 times, I have 4 emails from them confirming. One email took a week to respond. Now I have Customer Service Supervisor Tyler H arguing with me. You can do a lot better than spending any money with people who do not value the customer.
I purchased what I thought would be a great asset to my home, a farmhouse dining set. I paid for the item on May 1st and the money was immediately deducted from my account. On May 10th I contacted Overstock to inquire about why my item doesn't say shipped and was told to contact the seller. After sending the seller an email on May 13th they finally responded stating the item will be shipped in two weeks. At roughly 10:30pm on May 22nd I get an alert saying my item has been returned. Not only did the seller not hold up to their end of the deal, Overstock takes no part in doing business with faulty sellers. I spent almost a entire month waiting on a dining set that was never going to be delivered. Now at this point I have to start my search over again. Very very bad business Overstock! NEVER AGAIN!
I ORDERED A DESK ON 5/8/20, WAS TO RECEIVE IT ON 5/14/20, THEY DEBITED MY CREDIT CARD ON THAT DATE. I NEVER RECEIVED DESK. I WAS TOLD i WOULD HAVE IT IN 6-10 DAYS, CS SAID SHE SENT ME A 20% OFF COUPON FOR NEXT PURCHASE WHICH SHE DID NOT. NOW 12 DAYS OF ORDERING WHICH IT WAS NOT OUT OF STOCK AT THE TIME OF ORDER I AM BEING TOLD OUT OF STOCK AND NOW THEY ARE TRYING TO DEBIT ME AGAIN. WE ARE TALKING 397.00 X 2. YOU CANNOT GET THROUGH TO ANYONE. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN! WHERE DID THE DESK DISAPPEAR TO?
4-29-2020 i paid for a gold Michael Kors watch and it was returned back to sender i try to contact Overstock. I text its an 4hr wait time. So they texted me the sender number to call them i called a hundred time no answer. So it seems to me Overstock does not have anything else to do with it any more like they not trying to help get in contact with there business partners whom they been partnered up with for 35years! It very frustrated all i need them to do is send it back Damn. And i know the sender received the package back because i tracked it through USPS and it was returned back to them OMG After this i will not purchase from Overstock again. I'm trying to be patient soon im going to ask for a refund
Rug I ordered that was Navy Blue is actually a Light Multi Color Rug. Tried to return $31 to return a $41 rug
Never will I order from this company again. Due to Covid they will not answer a chat, phone call or have any customer service available. Buy at your Own Risk and Hope they are close to what you order.
I purchased my beautiful bedroom set that was delivered on May 27th 2020 I paid 99.00 for this delivery and set up for 5 pieces to be delivered I received everything but my dresser because as they delivered my dresser the mirror on the doors had shattered. With that being said I understand stuff happens BUT how they handled me STILL WAITING on my dresser AND ONLY giving me a 25.00 credit when I've paid a pretty penny for 5 pieces not 4 them they tell me it's gonna be 2 more weeks to wait I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER THING FROM OVERSTOCK with the customer service I have received
Answer: Hey, I would be very careful. I have transacted with Overstock three times and I don't believe there is as much security in terms of guarantee as with Amazon. And, if you buy items fulfilled by Amazon (meaning the product ships from Amazon's warehouse) you are even more guaranteed. For example, I bought some dinner napkins from an Amazon seller, fulfilled by Amazon. They were not what they were supposed to be and Amazon issued me a credit immediately and scheduled UPS to pick up my item to return. I'm very confident that with Amazon you will get quality service and if the product is not as described or substandard you will be in better hands especially with Amazon fulfilled items. Overstock is just not up to par and I wouldn't purchase something like a medicated cream from Overstock until they get it together.
