I purchased a ticket through Ovago. I cancelled the ticket online due to the pandemic since I didn't want to risk get sick. Customer support was able to reimburse the most of my money and provided me with a certificate for future travel.
They have PATHETIC customer services.
I was trying to reach file my flight to a sooner date, was on call with them for 3 consecutive days, by call I am mostly hold for more than 10yrs in total.
Still NO ONE HELPED.
Instead one stupid agent while assisting me, ended up cancelling my return flight altogether and now I don't have a return flight.
Pay $1000 more but never book flight with them in my opinion or unless you are super sure of dates your are booking because if you want to change or reschedule even if you have support bundle in your plan

After asking me for another phone number over email and 'e refusing to do so they charged me 1.48 and never issued my ticket
The worst experience of our lives! Recently Poland and Germany were added to "do not travel list" due to extremely high rates of COVID-19 cases. With current pandemic that poses a serious health risk to one unvaccinated minor in our travel group and a family member who we are planning to visit that has cancer; therefore, we decided to ask for a refund or to changed travel dates on our tickets. Initial request was put with Ovago on Friday 12/03. Ovago agent Alton said it will take 2 days for him to contact Lufthansa and get back to us. Monday 12/06, still no message from Alton. I called Ovago and was transferred to Alton. He said he contacted Lufthansa and they do not allow changes to my reservation. When I asked about refund? He said, ok I can contact them again but that will take another 24 hours for me to get back to you. Tuesday, 12/07, today, I receive a call from Alton saying Lufthansa did not allow refund and my best bet is to take the flights I currently have on my itinerary.
I called Lufthansa just now, and rep told me they cannot give me a refund, but changes are permitted on the fare - so I can rebook it to different dates, but is has to be done through Ovago as Lufthansa cannot see the fare I paid.
So as you can see Ovago is a bunch of liars who are quick to take your money, but do not care about assisting you later with rebooking.
I am on hold calling Ovago exchange department now. Let's see what they tell me now.
Please take your money and book directly with airlines if possible. These travel agencies are thieves!
Think 3 stars would be fair. There were some problems when contacting them, but they did actually exchange my flight because the original was cancelled
We've used Ovago a lot in past with no trouble. But then in 2020, my wife purchased a ticket to Spain from Ovago which was later cancelled because of Covid. She then paid a "cancellation fee", and bought another ticket for a flight that was also cancelled. We foolishly were thinking they were a reputable company, so we went along. Thinking all the while that the additional fee was odd. But my wife really needed to see her family, so we had to try. So now, we are out over $1200. 00 and even after hours upon hours with their ineffectual customer support (e.g. Bounced between their exchange department and many clueless reps, getting promised call backs that never happened, getting fed bogus info about the airline holding our money, etc). We finally got an email offering to refund_half_ our money, but this has so far proven to be false. After all these months, we are no closer to getting our money back. Too bad this site won't allow zero stars. Avoid at all costs.
I was very freaked out but now I am so happy my doubts are clear by their email which they explained to me. I was about to cancel my ticket and wanted to refund money back. But there were service charges amount if I canceled the flight but this the rules and regulations. They say why you not reschedule the ticket that was such a smart idea. I just reschedule my ticket with help of $50 bundle plan which I had with my ticket I am so amazed by their services OVGAO Especially thanks to Avery & Derek on the called they listened to me very calmly and gave me the right decision I will absolutely recommend to everyone OVGAO Travel services and there trust flying...
1200 dollars Refund refused
Turkish airlines Flight was cancelled, and the company refused to give refund of 1200 dollars which I spent since October 2020. Case is being handled by US department of Transportation. Never book with them. They will loot your money and fill their pockets
I booked tickets for a trip to see my parents for $254. When I was asked to enter my billing address, the website changed the passenger name to my mother. Typical technology error. However, I contacted customer service and was told that there would be no additional cost in order to adjust the name change. They emailed me and told me that the name change can be made, but that the cost of the ticket is now $288. Southwest airlines website has a lower cost, skiplagged (where I originally booked the tickets through) had a lower price, and when I went on Ovago website, there was a lower price. I asked if I could cancel the tickets and I was told that I would be charged an additional charge of $50. I have no other option from Ovago to correct this mistake other than to pay more for my ticket. I suggest anyone to go though any other booking site. Horrible customer service. I wasn't offered anything other than a ticket $34 more or a $50 cancelation fee.
They cancelled my flights a month from departure, wouldn't reschedule them, and the refund is gonna take three weeks to get back to me. Which means I've got to pay for the ticket again WHILE THEY STILL HAVE MY MONEY.
Ovago trying to not refund tickets purchased thru them, when they have to-- flights are canceled by airline and they are required to do so. Now a month in (DOT says 7 days turnaround) from discovery of cancellation, countless hours on hold (i dream of ovago music), and many unreturned emails. They want to make it very hard for you to get refund, so that you'll give up. The 5 stars here are all bogus, done by ovago/gurufare/wayfare-- read them for fun! This is short version of the hassles-- Beware!
If the flight is cancelled during a pandemic charging for refund is immature and harassment
You have been harassing me by taking money for every stupid thing since October 2020. 400 for credit request, another 400 for flight changes, so total of 800 which is more than original cost of flight that is 693 bucks. They are taking advantage of pandemic and making money
Never book with ovago or you will regret. It's a scam.
I purchased a return ticket (JFK-DAC-JFK) for my son from Ovago. The flight didn't operate due to the pandemic. They were contacted many a times asking for return. Till date they didn't return. They don't care about the customer after they sell the ticket. Frustrating
If you buy tickets online, you can get a really good deal. However, if you need to cancel or change, just be sure to get the refund even though it is only 50%, because you CANNOT use the credit towards another cheap online fare - you have to wait one hour to talk to an "exchange" representative and get the ridiculously jacked up in person fare - about 1.5x what the web only fare is. So a $2200 web fare became $3000 when I tried to use my credit. UGH. Should be illegal.

I have paid 100$ Extra for CANCEL FOR ANY REASON (CFAR)
Extra while booking my tickets and it's says refund all your money back to card.
This option is trash waste of hundred dollars!

I had bought a ticket for the 2nd of August. Airline made a change early June and advised them. They never advised us back in return. They keep putting you on hold and do bot fix your issue. We have to stay an extra night, we are certain that we will have to fight for compensation as it has now been 19 hours and we are still on hold.
This was my first time booking with Ovago, and Betty was a delight to work with. Customized approach, attention to detail and very professional in finding me the best price for my flight. Thank you, Betty for making this such a pleasant experience. I'll certainly use Ovago again for future flight tickets.

The only way I could book my flight post-covid was through this site. Google flights did not give me any other option to book. When I booked my flight I had to verify two small transactions in my bank account. I completed that and was sent an email that my flight was being. Processed. I have never booked a flight that hadn't been confirmed right after. The next morning I received an email that the price of the tickets I had booked had changed. They stated that they would put a hold on my flight for so many hours and to email them that I confirm that I would pay the new higher price. I confirmed within the time limits. An hour later I received an email stating that my flight had been canceled and that I could change to another flight for $940. Throughout the process, Ovago's emails stated that my 2 seats were on hold for so many hours while I decided if I wanted to confirm. How did someone else buy my original seats if they had truly been put on hold. I believe this company is only interested in making the most money off of you as they can.
This is my second time using this booking service, I had some serious doubts about booking not from the airline directly at the beginning, but this service (and especially Ozzy) made me realise that booking from them come with a much lower price and with extremely higher value. And the fact that Ozzy managed to meet all of my requirements made me truly happy.
