I had a flight booked from Iquitos Peru to Lima Peru, then on to Mexico City to San Antonio. When I tried to check in to my Peruvian flights, suddenly, they had gone missing. I called into Customer Service and they said they would help me and call me back. They never did and I had to buy a second ticket from another carrier at an additional $1300 USD cost. I then received an email from Customer Service saying, "Great news! Your issue has been resolved." Ovago NEVER resolved my issue. I did. Additionally, on my way to Peru, one of my flights was running late. I called Ovago ahead of time to ask for their assistance in planning my next flight because I knew I was going to miss my connection. They told me to call the airline and they would adjust it for me because Ovago couldn't do anything. I ended up spending 2 nights stranded in 2 different airports due to their lack of assistance. Calling into customer service was a nightmare, as well. One woman had screaming children in the background. Another time I called, you could hear that man's family speaking loudly and he couldn't hear anything I was saying. Why did I buy the insurance?! It was useless. It was the worst and most expensive experience I have ever had.

We had a terrible experience with Ovago on multiple levels. They were super efficient during the sales process, but after we booked the tickets, everything was a nightmare. I wanted to try and change my return flight but I couldn't do it in time because I had to wait for someone to call me. This person took 2 weeks to call me back despite me trying to get in touch with them every second day. By the time they called, the prices of the flight had shot through the roof.

It didn't end there. The airline website wouldn't allow me to check-in online, which was strange. When we got to the airport, we were told that our seats weren't confirmed and we will have to go to the gate and wait for the gate manager to assign us the seats. The gate manager told us that the flight was overbooked, and we will have to wait for the airline to see if anyone is missing their flight or cancelling last minute for them to allocate us seats. I was the last person to get on the flight despite reaching the airport 3 hours in advance.

Ovago's response to all this was, they are sorry for the inconvenience and have raised an inquiry with the airline. No one got back to me post that.

Purchased tickets to a place where political instability is taking place. Called the airline after booking our flights for our family of 4 a few days after reservation was made to cancel. The State Department has issued a travel warning to location we where planning to go to. Was told I would be charged 80% in fees and charges to cancel a booking made only a short time before. Go elsewhere to book any type of travel! You will regret using OVAGO.

Went to check in only to be advised there wasn't a flight today, despite an email confirmation from OVAGO stating Flight to Munich via Helsinki departing Haneda Monday 21st November 2022@ 11.35am.JAL staff very apologetic advised us to contact travel agents OVAGO. Only access was via Customer chat. After numerous chats, failed attempts to contact by phone and hollow promises of callbacks did i eventually get through to an operator. Now 5.00pm. He blamed the airline for the problem, declined my requests to speak to a Manager.Eventually got the Eticket, however despite the fact the original error was OVAGO they are not accepting this. We're out of pocket for accommodation in both Japan and Germany and interconnecting flights.
AVOID using OVAGO. No customer service whatsoever. Unfortunately I had to give them a star but they certainly don't deserve it!

Whatever you do, DO NOT USE OVAGO!

THe staff only pretend to be nice until they trap you with your money. I've lost the airline credits max they have failed to reschedule my flight. That being said, generally They're scammers and will stop at nothing to frustrate you. First it's very difficult to reach them and when you do, the customer service is extremely rude, I recall one of them called Manuel. Extremely rude to work as a customer service attendant.

I wish I could give them 0 stars, they don't deserve this 1 star.

HORRIBLE TRAVEL AGENCY!

The staff was super rude and unhelpful. Lied on several occasions. Would put you on hold for hours just to get rid of you. Very bad. Can't believe they are still in business.

See I don't tend to bash anyone, but never buy a plane ticket from OVAGO when it comes to you wanting a refund from your ticket because you weren't able to use it they will refuse to give it back to you I spent over $1300 for a ticket with them had some unfortunate circumstances happen to where I could not catch my flight then they did the same thing not only to me but multiple others where I was lied to that they were supposedly working on my case put me on hold for over 3 hours told me they were going to call me back no I had to call them back and they never came up with that solution to either even though I was told it was a complimentary reschedule with no fees then when I call to reschedule they all of a sudden want to charge $970 then they wanted to charge $760 then they were going to refund my money but only $260 of it and NOT the whole $1300 for what to steal from the customer nah bruh it's effected not only the date of my wedding but on top of that now they refuse to give me my money I spent over a month putting together nah I'm getting that money back 1 way or another my advice to you guys NEVER go through OVAGO!

This website let me pay off a ticket to a wedding I was in. It is my fault for trusting it, but it was the only way. Since they have changed my flight to during the wedding. I have spoken to 5 different agents and sent a lot of emails. They basically told me not to worry it will be worked out. Today, a week before the wedding, I got an email saying my issue was resolved... the flight was exactly the same. Do NOT BOOK with them.

In June of 2020, we booked 2 tickets for United Airlines thru OVAGO (for a trip Newark to Australia for $980 EA, $1860 total). Due to Covid19, Australia closed its borders to all except Australian citizens and permanent residents, so we were unable to compete our trip. As the result we were issued a credit good till the end of 2022.

Unfortunately, as per United, we can only access this credit thru OVAGO as they were the agent that sold us the tickets. On Sept 2, we called OVAGO to rebook our flights using this credit. We were told they had to get the credit approved by United which would take 3-4 days and they would call us back. We called back after a week and were told they were still waiting for approval and they would call us as soon as approved. A week later, still no tickets, 2 weeks later still no tickets and no call back. In fact OVAGO never returned one call when they promised. Over this time period, we were given conflicting information, got transfered to lines unanswered, were cut off etc... you get the idea. We called them repeated for the next 3 weeks... all during this time the ticket prices for our flights were going up and since we didn't have a confirmed booking we didn't have fares locked in.

At the beginning of this process OVAGO quoted a price for tickets was $1061 plus our credit which after 3 weeks of delays was still not approved. Because ticket prices were rising almost daily, we gave up on OVAGO and purchased new tickets directly for approximately $2400 ea. In summary, OVAGO's poor service cost us over $2000, plus they still have our credit which seems impossible to use.

I would give them zero stars if I could. Avoid disappointment and avoid this company!

They are scammers be aware, I'm one of thier victims, they scamed over $1700 to selling me fake flights ticket. I'm still fight them to get my money back.

I found a great fare and the times I wanted. Once I entered my credentials and payment, the fare jumped 2k! MOre than anyother site. SO I declined. They put a hold on my credit card whihc is now unusable. I called customer service and they cancelled my request, said nothing was charged but I still have a hold. I do NOT trust these guys

If I can give ZERO stars, I would. I'm actually being generous for the 1 star. You don't deserve it, OVAGO!

I have been trying to rebook my return flight to a later date, was able to speak to someone gave me prices which were above $500 each person from the original flight. He then told me that I will receive an email about the details and how to rebook it, weeks passed and NOTHING. Tried calling their hotline and it just hangs up whenever directed to the "change itinerary" option. Tried talking to their useless CHAT support - but they just keep on passing me from different agents to the other. Saying that someone already assisted me and it was out of their scope. Like what the hell?! What's the use of talking to them if they can't help me with my problem?! At the end, I didn't get anything. A LOT of time wasted and nothing happened. You are so unreliable. And I made a mistake booking with you. Please do better assisting your customers.

I'm not the kind of person who complains but money that was used to book this flight is no joke. It was hard earned money and we want to make sure we get the best from that, and you failed us.

They have SCAM customer services.

I was trying to reach them before my flight to change the date, I couldn't reach them antel I miss my flight

Instead one stupid agent while assisting me, ended up cancelling my return flight altogether and now I don't have a return flight
And now I have to buy a new ticket because im stock in here and I have to bay
More then 1500 hundred just to go back home

Ovago has the most unreliable customer service I have ever dealt with. After purchasing my tickets last Dec for our Sept travel to the UK, I proceeded to try to confirm these flights and get seating. I was told that the flight times had changed and the tickets would have to be rebooked and confirm through British Airline. Ovago said they would call or email me with the update. That never happened. I did not receive a call or email for several days so I called back and was told the same thing, that they were busy and would get back to me. Finally out of frustration I went on their web site and filled out form for a refund.
I just received a text message denying my refund. No explanation or offer for a credit towards a future flight. Couple of thousand $$ gone!
As you can see pass reviews of Ovago are very unfavorable. I hope this information adds to the mounting complains this company has gotten. Do not use Ovago!

DO NOT USE OVAGO.

They advertised a flight to us with a good rate. We went through the process, bought the ticket, got a confirmation. We then received a call from customer service saying that someone just bought those tickets before us, and the price was actually like $1000 more now. What the hell is that? Meanwhile, I was chatting with customer service that told me that the payment didn't go through because of fraud and asked me for another card. Two conflicting pieces of explanation about why it didn't go through. Extremely unprofessional, suspicious and an absolute waste of my time.

No they are not safe. Be aware of their scam. They will cancel your confirmed ticket if they find a customer willing to pay more for your ticket. This is what they do: they issue you a confirmed ticket for the cheap price that you think you managed to get. Then they cancel your flight and offer you either a refund or reschedule your flight to another date. If you take the option of rescheduling then you have taken their bait. This is because they leave your booking in processing state unconfirmed forever and in the mean time they try to find other customers who are willing to pay more. If some other customer accept to buy the same ticket for the higher newly advertised price, they ditch you stating that the airlines did not process your ticket (they blame the airlines and get away). If no one gets the higher ticket then they give you the ticket. You have a huge chance of not flying because of this immoral price bidding genius technique. Pay a little bit more with a reputable known online travel booking agent like Priceline, Expedia... etc. And save yourself.

Booked my trip to Europe and went to the airport to find out that my flight has been changed, Ovago never informed me. Rejected checking in to the new flight and ended buying new tickets. Ovago said that they will reissue tickets but they need a "special" authorization from the airline. It's been almost 2 months now and I'm still waiting for that "authorization". I doubt that there is any authorization, they are just refusing to issue refund or rebook. Don't ever buy tickets from them, this is fraud. I have filled a complaint with USDOT and I'm hoping that they will do something about this. Per US law travel agent just inform you about any change to your trip, they failed. Since they failed they must refund the full amount, they didn't so they are fraud.
Next step will be suing them in the courts. From something beautiful that trip should be I'm here living my nightmare because they will not refund my $2000+.

Bought above plan for flight changes, texted 8 reps. For changes and all I got was empty promises. Never that I will book on this websites and I will tell this experience to all my friends and family.

Found a great deal from SFO to BCN on Ovago and even had an agent help me book. She was super attentive while making the sale and confimed the flight would be via Ibiria, on an Ibiria airplane. I tripled ask this because I did not want to book a flight on Ibiria's budget airline Level, I would bite the bullet and pay extra to not fly with Level, so I made sure to ask this question. The agent, whose name is Molly assured me that it was not a Level airplane. Long story short, The flight that was booked for me, which is non refundable IS IN FACT A LEVEL AIRPLANE, which is low budget. They don't serve you food, drinks etc. This agent straight up lied to make the sale. Do not use them, they are a scam!

This guys are only interested with you money and act like a great customer service till you book the flight. Once you book the flight you are trapped, you can do nothing. Please please do not trust them. Its a real trapped. I wanted to change my schedule and have been trying to talk with them every time i called sales agent pick up the phone they ask me if i want to book the flight? They transfer call to customer service and phone get disconnected. Its really frustrating that i even can not talk to the person to change the flight.
I am done with it.
