I have had two otter boxes that broke. The first one I just bought a new one. The second one I tried to buy a new one and could not find one. I remembered that it had a lifetime warrenty therefore I contacted otterbox, and they informed me that they no longer make them. Apparently, that is how they get by their so called lifetime warrenty, which is as useless as the paper it is written on.
They're not what you think when it comes to C.S. So when folks talk about how great otterbox is, in my opinion They're no different than any other capitalistic company. They care about revenue and that's it. I've been trying to have my claim honored and They're giving me the run around. I've been a customer with them for years, but after the experience I just went thru and still didn't receive a replacement case, I'll never do business with them again. They're not who you think they are. Here's a screen shot of the hour long wait for customer service to pick up during business hours. No body answered and I refuse to call back. Smh
I ordered a tab case only for it to not fit. I sent an email asking for document for the return. They replied saying that I will receive a response within 14 days. I still haven't after nearly 1 month and sending 3 emails asking for the same. Now they said that they are restricting their department!... for 1 month? This company should not be in business. They are a BS company with no service or regard for their clients. Once they get your order, that's the end. One star is too good. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
I ordered a case for my Apple Watch and it took 11 days to arrive. I choose the standard shipping. They sent it UPS who in turn gave it to USPS. VERY POOR SHIPPING! I should have ordered it from Amazon. Never again
I spent so much on a phone case and a charger for Android expecting them to last. Phonecase lasted 3 months before it started falling apart and charger is starting to fail after 7 months, I have phone cases and chargers that cost me a third of what I paid at OtterBox and they've been with me for years. Their products are a joke.
It is a shame given how much I paid for my Otterbox phone protector that it is completely falling apart. Does not hold up to wear and tear.
I've had two otterboxes over the years at the urging of my daughter but I have to say they really suck. The ones I had were like $80 and both broke over time. Little pieces coming off and the thing basically falling apart in front of you. After the last one broke I bought a Seymac for $28 and it's vastly better.
Your company is no longer doing the warranty claims like you supposed to if there is negative Stars I would be putting that on there I submitted tons of pictures you guys will never be satisfied on what I can send to be able to get my order complete I will no longer be purchasing anything from this company ever again what a big fat joke do not waste your time or effort because of warranties are now BS
After 3 years of use the rubber on my I phone 12 case was falling apart. I submitted a warranty claim before I went down to the store to buy a new case. They approved me and mailed me a replacement case! I was very surprised and have been very pleased with the product.
Carefully measured my apple watch and ordered the otter box that matched. When it arrived, it was way too small. In my abundant free time, I tried various ways to reach Otter Box -- waiting on phone, chat with robot, emailing customer service with attached photos of the cover that had stretched until it split. No response. By the time I got through, it was too late to return it -- the company allows only 30 days. I noticed that the size I purchased is discontinued and replaced by a slightly larger size, so the company sold covers that were too small for the largest apple watch, but won't replace them -- you have to buy a new one. They just lost a loyal customer.
OtterBox does not even deserve one star. Not only are they expensive but they fall apart quick. I have purchased numerous otter boxes because they were promised to be the best. The only time I turn in a claim which was in November 2023 I have yet to receive a replacement. I think this is why design as they want you just to go buy another. Their advertising is false. Their warranty is false Otherwise I wouldn't be writing this bad review. Not only did I meet all of their requirements that they asked me for and pictures I sent never heard from them again. Then I've made numerous calls only to tell me they would get my replacement right out. This is now February 19 2024, and I've yet to receive my replacement. Pretty sorry if you ask me especially for the cost.
Was promised items would be delivered on 2/5/2024. Went on UPS website couldn't get updates. It's Thursday, 02/08/2024 and still haven't recd my package. I pd 4 priority shipping. I should be refunded.
You purchase a case with a lifetime warranty, and its only a couple of years old, they tell you sorry we can't replace it as it's obsolete. Oh we can give you 20% off you next purchase. That doesn't cut it, it's guaranteed for life.
It's a great case and all. Except one major flaw. There's an opening at the top for the ear hole. So when it's raining for example, if the tiniest droplet gets in there it starts making your phone press random places randomly. Can't press what you're trying to. So you have to take the whole thing off, wipe the screen and case. Only to have it happen right away again. So I'm just taking it off. So annoying tbh
Had 2 of the defenders on my previous devices and these have to be the worst cases I've ever bought. Within 6 Mos the rubber breaks down and wears out, and to make matters worse my phone has approximately 1000 chips and Knicks in the finish of my phone and the outside of it is ruined and I can't do trade in now! What's the point of having phone case if the case is damaging the phone?
Traded in my old phone at AT&T and they highly suggested I buy the Otter screen protector right then and there because it has a warranty. They installed it for me, but it wasn't ever 3 months and the protector started lifting from the screen and I ended up falling in the snow and dropped it (so not 6 feet above ground). Tried to submit a claim on line and it said I had to call or chat. I was caller 24 in line and chat was no help. Turns out you still pay shipping, handling and taxes. Just go to Amazon and buy there's for less. Will never purchase another one and will tell everyone not to bother.
A latch broke on a cooler with a lifetime warranty. I asked for a replacement latch and sent pictures. Otterbox said they would warranty replace but never sent anything. I have been stuck in a loop with their contract warranty service (a non Otterbox company) that handles their warranty claims. They continue to ask for pictures that I have already sent twice along with purchase receipt. Now they have simply stopped replying to my inquiries.
I left for customer service call and in advertently left my iPhone on the roof of my car. While traveling 70 miles an hour it blew off the roof. When I went back to pick my phone up it was virtually unscarred. My case said cracked open which absorb the shock when it hit hit the road but Mary scratch on my iPhone, which still works perfectly.
Unbelievable product were the best things I've ever bought
I just got this phone case and in two months the case started to crack and I spent over $65 dollars on this case. I better get a new phone case for free. Robbed me
My case was scheduled for delivery on 1/1. I realize this was not realistic so figured it would be 1/2. Got an email saying 1/2. Then 1/3. Now 1/4. What a joke. I think the cases stink but my son wanted it. If you must have an Otterbox, go to Amazon or Best Buy
