DO NOT BOOK ANY HOTEL WITH THIS COMPANY! otel.com is the most unscrupulous company I have ever dealt with, their dishonesty and pathetic response to customers who made reservations through them and were unable to travel due to COVID-19 is shocking, in over 30 years of travel I have never come across a company like them. I am part of a faceboook group of over 475 people ("scammed by Otel.com") seeking refunds or vouchers from them and they are refusing to refund, blaming "hotel suppliers" and "third parties" instead. Give this company a wide berth and do not use them for your travel arrangements!
They stole more than £1500 from me. During the pandemic, unable to travel to London, I was forced to cancel my booking. They never replied to any message, never answered the phone. Grabbed my money, and hid in their caves. THEY ARE THIEVES! But beware, because they are still operating!
BUYER BEWARE! -0 stars! I recently booked a reservation through Otel.com. As a result of the COVID situation, my hotel in Florida was not accepting guests. I contacted Otel.com SEVERAL times to inquire about rescheduling my reservation, or obtaining a credit or refund. They did not respond for several weeks, and then told me that there was a "no cancellation" policy. I explained that I did NOT cancel the reservation, nor did I wish to cancel the reservation... that I would like to know how and when my reservation would be rescheduled. I received no response from Otel.com. I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. After investigating and contacting Otel.com, the credit card company claimed that they were unable to reverse the charge because "the merchant is willing to work with me to resolve the claim". I have, yet again, contacted Otel.com and am unable to get any response. Even though their rates look favorable, I STRONGLY recommend finding another site through which to book your reservation. This company is extremely unreliable as well as unresponsive. It is not a U.S. based company, and you will have no recourse when they steal your money.
In January, I have booked via Otel.com service for 4 nights (3rd-7th June) at a hotel in Barcelona. Everything was paid in advance. Due to the current Covid-19 Sanitary Emergency, I have requested to cancel the booking through the refund request service, and the Helpdesk of Otel.com answered: "the cancellation fee waiver request was rejected by our supplier partners due to the strict voucher conditions. Since our hotel suppliers are charging us full for this booking, unfortunately, we are not able to provide a refund. We appreciate your kind understanding."
According to what is stated on their website, and according to the current law both in Spain and in Italy (where I come from), I should be refunded due to the European policy on Covid-19.
Some days ago, I have written them another email, including the answer that I have received directly from the hotel. The hotel agrees in NOT CHARGING any cancellation fee for my reservation, and they suggested me to attach their email as proof in my next communications with Otel. The hotel stated they did not receive any email or refund request from them, despite they had written to me the opposite. Which is false. I have not received any answers, despite my new request tickets on their website. Moreover, I have received another email from the manager of the hotel, who could not contact them either, despite he had tried.
This company is very unscrupulous. I booked a room for 5 nights, for an event that was subsequently cancelled due to COVID-19. I called the hotel to find out if they were open, because a lot of hotels were closed. They said that all of the reservations had been refunded, but that my reservation had been cancelled by Agoda.com, which is an agent of Otel.com. The hotel said they had not received any money for my reservation. I had never requested cancellation, nor had I ever heard of Agoda. I sent several messages to Otel and they said that their booking agent would have to approve a refund. They didn't tell me who that was, but since I already knew, I sent Agoda a message. So far, nothing has been done and I haven't received any more communication. There are many people in this situation and there is a Facebook group for people scammed by Otel, trying to help each other get what is due us.
I BOOKED A ROOM THREW OTEL.COM, I WAS SENT A COFERMATION # AND A VOUCHER #, I WAS SUPPOSED TO PRINT THE VOUCHER # BUT THERE WAS NO WAY TO PRINT IT. HOTEL NEVER RECEIVED A RESERVATION OR THERE MONEY FROM OTEL ( THEY NEVER EVEN HEARD OF THEM BEFORE), I DID NOT GET THE ROOM THAT OTEL SAID WAS BOOKED, AFTER I PLACED A NUMBER OF CALLS, ( NO ANSWERS, DISCONECTED OR NO LONGER IN USE TELEPHONE LINES). HAD NO OPTION BUT TO PAY FOR ROOM AGAIN.

Otel.com does NOT deal with the hotel directly, but uses yet another online agent/broker for their bookings.
Booking took place on 01.02.2020 for 2020/05/21 - 2020/05/24. Two weeks before the commencement date (2020/05/21) hotel informed me that booking was cancelled. Still, automated vouchers kept arriving via e-mail, pretending all is in order.
When querying with Otel.com, no communication was received, not even an acknowledgement of receipt of such.
Ticket was logged on their site with request for refund, no reply as yet. Neither hotel nor intermediate broker/agent received funds, but intermediate denies information who cancelled.
The fact remains that they were unable to deliver a service for a booking that we did not cancel. Otel.com is still sitting with my money and doing nothing.
Stays away from Otel.com. They're neither worth your attention, time nor money.
I booked a room for two nights on May 14th, staying for two nights at the Best Western Bayshore Inn for May 15th and 16th and I paid with my credit card, about $100 for each night. Otel.com sent me a confirmation and a voucher number and I was supposed to print out the voucher. There was no way to print out the voucher. The hotel did not have a record of the reservation, so I had to pay again. Fortunately, my bank flagged this as a fraudulent transaction and I received a refund.
I want cancel the reservation with ref. D******* for Hotel Pestana S. Tomé. According to their cancellation policy, I have a free cancellation until 05/15/2020. I have already sent several emails, messages online (through their online platform), messages via instagram and I don't get a response. Online chat has been disabled. The telephone number after 1 minute online, hangs up automatically. The F. A. Q on the website says that cancellation is only possible through my account. I've done it several times. The option to cancel this reservation is not functional. I select this option several times and the reserve remains active. And the cancellation confirmation email was never received. I cannot make this trip, because I am a nurse, and my May vacation was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In view of all your customer service being inoperable, I request the cancellation of the reservation until May 15th, and the refund of the amount already paid, in the amount of Eur480.99.
And thats it. Otel.com its like a ghost company... no answers... no nothing!
TERRIBLE and UNRELIABLE BUSINESS!... Don't waste your money and time! DO NOT MAKE ANY BOOKINGS ON OTEL.COM... just don't ruin your vacation. Here is my story: I have been waiting for my refund since December 2019 and it's May 2020 now. I still haven't received my money back! They agreed to issue us a full refund back in February 2020 and ASSURED us IN WRITING that the refund HAD BEEN ISSUED ALREADY and it's on the way. They told us that it will be reflected back to our credit card within 2 - 14 business days. Since we received a confirmation by email that our money is on the way, we were not worried about it. We thought it was just a matter of time. However, even after several weeks of waiting we hadn't received our money back to the bank account. Later I send a follow-up email to this company again and asked them to check the status of our refund. The respond came with a delay again. It's their way of making a business...)... In their email, they told us absolutely different information. They basically said that they had changed their mind and decided not to refund us money. Now the reason was COVID-19. They told us that they are going to give us a voucher which will be valid for one year only, but we don't need this voucher at all. It looks to me that this company is just trying to fool us and find a way to keep their customers money. I know that it's a difficult time for the travel industry now, but our claim was opened back in 2019, many months before COVID-19 crisis. Moreover, they lied to us in February 2020, that the refund had been issued already. I'm just wasting my time calling them and sending them endless emails. I'm very frustrated with this situation and I had never had such a terrible experience with any travel company. I'm not the only one who has had an issue with them. I made a research on the Internet and there are many complaints about otel.com. We are all in a difficult situation right now due to COVID-19 but it's not the reason to speculate on it. By the way, despite the fact that they promised us to issue a voucher, we haven't received any I wish to put them out of business! WARNING: Do not do business with these scammers!
WARNING: Do not do business with these scammers! My wife and I booked a hotel through Otel.com. When the pandemic resulted in border closures, we were forced to contact Otel.com about receiving a refund for our trip. Several weeks later, we finally received an email from MetGlobal (parent company) informing us that the hotel would issue a refund and therefore, we would not be refunded by Otel.com. We contacted the hotel directly and they advised us that 100% of all bookings had been cancelled and refunded in full to all third party booking companies. We were also told that a booking was never made by Otel.com and that the voucher number they provided to us was invalid. After this was stated to Otel.com, they hung up the phone and will not return emails. Our credit card was charged in full by Otel.com. We are currently pursuing legal means to be refunded.
During the state of this world we were unable to leave our state and the destination state was on lockdown. We could not goon our vacation. No refund given! Not even a partial! This is unacceptable and poor business. I would give negative 5 stars on this process from the beginning. The room couldn't even be verified until 2 weeks before the date. A week before we were on lockdown. It's not a sit i would recommend to the devil
My hotel was cancelled due to the Coronavirus as the premises were closed during my expected dates of stay. The hotel have publicly stated that they are refunding bookings. However Otel will not refund me or offer me an alternative date. They state there is another company in between the hotel and themselves who will not agree to the refunds. Then who has my money? My contract was with Otel, not another company. I know the hotel have passed it back to someone, but not to the consumer which I believe goes against consumer rights. I have tried to escalate this but not getting anywhere.
I am also having the same issues with otel.com. This company is appalling. Myself and many others have reported the company along with contacting numerous tabloids in the UK and Turkey.

I am an essential employee driving a truck during the covid 19 virus. I used Otel to book a room for five nights. When I arrived at the Hotel I the credit card from Otel was declined. We tried for two hours to get ahold of them by phone and email. I then had to pay for the room again. For the last three weeks I have tried to get my money back but I still can't get ahold of anyone.
Metroglobal otel.Com and totel.Com is a company scam taking advantage of all paying citizens of every country in the world. Duh metroglobal. If he scams 300 dollars from everyone that just says oh well I got scammed and doesn't report then that's millions of dollars in his pocket in his country of Turkey. I just wanted a nice hotel but there bought and run by him and cockroach always under construction piece of $#*!s. We as consumers are suppose to just deal and mark a star on reviews. How many years is he going to get away with screwing everyone
Booked stay in Amsterdam for the 23rd March for 3 nights. Due to covid all travel was cancelled, so I requested a refund for the fees paid. Before this I had tried to print the voucher in the email confirmation, which wouldn't print( alarm bells). After five weeks got reply to request for refund, stating it was" not them, but the supplier" had refused the refund. Disgraceful behaviour hiding behind "supplier" in the current (or any) situation. Smells of total lack of professionalism. Please do not use this site. Read the reviews, I wish I had!
Otel.com and their owners Metglobal are scammers! THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK EVEN IF THE ACTUAL HOTEL DID! I booked a trip through otel.com for a hotel in South Beach before COVID hit the US. I asked hotel to reschedule the trip and they refused and cancelled it. Otel.com then refused to refund me the money. I contacted the actual hotel and they stated: they accepted the cancelled and refunded the entire fee at no charge. Otel.com denies this. THEY ARE SCUM BAG LIARS. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!
Horrible experience
Booked 3 nights at Walt Disney Orlando: when I called at the hotel to asked some questions about my upcoming stay, they couldn't find my reservation.
Chat 3 times with otel.com, got 3 differents stories... so I never got a room at Walt Disney resort. When at the end I asked for a refund due to covid-19 they said they can't reimburse because their partnership have strict rules...
Anyway worst experience ever, don't book with them to save money... it is not worth the trouble.
Finally I dispute the amount with my credit card...
Answer: Go through your credit card company. Not sure why I have to use 50 characters to say that but blah blah blah blah blah blah enoutgh?
Answer: Look at all the bad reviews for otel.com on sitejabber. Stay away!
