Thief, just give me my money back, aren't you afraid of karma? And you or your family pay for all this?

I paid $2300 for a room at a Florida hotel just before COVID hit last year. I had to cancel the reservation. The hotel confirmed that Otel.com was refunded what it paid from my funds but Otel refused to return any payment to me. The phone number on its site did not connect to its location in Ankara Turkey or went to an unrelated entity. Attempts to communicate by other means were totally ineffective. Please stay away from this company.

Buyer Beware I am like everyone else Booked Hotel Accomidation $1496. 20 for June last year notified in March to cancel due to Covid 19 and trying to get a refund after a lot of effort I was told refund would be paid by end of 2020

Hotel was closed in Barcelona, Spain because of COVID, still Otel doesnt want me to cancel it because its a non-refunded hotel room. Come on, it's not possible to access the hotel and they still want me to just loose the money, didnt even offer reschedule or voucher. However, when creditcard company requested them, they are saying (after planned stay) they offered voucher or reschedule. Just BS.

I was directed to their site by Trivago and reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights at Hard Rock non refundable. Of course we weren't cancelling but due to Covid the hotel was closed. Otel refused to refund due to the strict refund policy. I have spent months trying to get a refund from credit card and Otel refuses to refund. The credit card company hasn't helped much at this point taking Otel's side each time they denied the chargeback. There are numerous people like myself that have come together through a Facebook group Scammed by Otel which documents their lies and deceptive practices and they deny claims based on their booking agencies refusal to refund. I even had emails from the hotel stating they didn't receive any money from the booking agency and there was no penalty for cancelling. Don't use Otel, Metglobal or HotelPro

Booked January 2020, with Otel. Com, pre paid our hotel in full, double checked the hotel had our booking by calling them directly at the hotel... They did.

However due to corona, our area had restrictions which meant we couldn't travel.

So I'd used the ticket service to contact Otel.com on their website, no response at all with regard to a refund request.

So I then called the hotel directly to check out our options...
They said they had no booking for us as it had been cancelled back in July!

They advised that Otel. Com used a middle agent who hadn't received any money that we'd paid directly to Otel. Com, which should have been paid directly onto the hotel, this hadn't been actioned, hence our hotel cancellation outcome.

Moral of the story is if I hadn't queried before our arrival, we would never have known our booking wasn't available... For October and really disappointed to be at reception & no hotel room.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND DO NOT USE...

Our friends bookings are in the same situation...

We will be using a charge back on our cards to obtain funds back...

I booked a fully refundable hotel for a stay in May 2020, which I cancelled almost 2 full months before we were due to arrive. When cancelling and requesting a cash refund, the cancellation confirmation email stated they had automatically converted it to a voucher and I'd have to email to request a cash refund.

After several back and forths over email with them offering +10% and then +15% on top of the voucher, they eventually agreed to process a refund which could take up to 60 days.

60 days have passed and, despite chasing several times I hadn't had a response, so raised a dispute with Amex. They upheld this until Otel.com disputed it and send back all the documentation and emails PRIOR to my request to cancel and states I broke their booking terms. They failed to include the numerous emails which confirm they are processing a cash refund.

I get travel agents and low cost booking sites are under significant strain right now, but this behaviour and attitude is sly and underhanded. Judging by the amount of reviews on here along the same subject - I'd imagine I'm not the exception!

I booked a non-refundable rate for a hotel in Sorrento for a 3 night stay in September 2020. Due to an unplanned medical procedure I couldnt travel either prior or following surgery. I got in touch with hotel who cancelled booking and wouldnt charge Otel.com. I sent several messages on Otel.com website explaining the situation and asking if I could have a voucher for future travel given that hotel werent charging them so they would not be out of pocket. Despite several messages they havent responded and I have to agree with all the negative reviews. Travel comparision websites such as Trivago and Trip Advisor should remove them with immediate effect given that they have staff who monitor reviews and can see from the awful way they conduct business. I wish I couuld give nil star rating.

I booked with them before COVID and needed to cancel. I emailed countless times trying to get ahold of them about a refund. They never once responded. They only have an international number to call so you get charged. We called once to try and resolve the issue, they said we would get a refund in 14 days. They lied, it's been months and Still no refund. I still continuously try and contact them but still no response. Do not use this service they are a scam.

We were supposed to go to London but due to corona the borders were closed so we didn't. We've been writing them emails and all calling to automated message that told us to cancel the booking to get a refund. When we did so they've send us an email after around 2 months that their hotel supplier cancelled the refund and we won't have no money back. We've been writing them non stop again and it's just not possible to reach them. It's a biggest scam we don't know what to do please avoid them

I write the following review to highlight the bad service I had using Trivago website and, consequently, Otel.com, recommended or suggested by Trivago.
In February 2020, I looked up on Trivago search engine for the best solution to make a reservation for a trip to make. By providing the services and the location I was looking for and the resort to stay at, Trivago suggested me to use Otel.com as the lowest-price solution for my vacation.
Therefore, I made a reservation at Sikania Resort in Sicily from 25 July to 01 August 2020, paying in advance by credit card, and directly to Otel.com, a total amount equal to EUR 1,216.70.
Few weeks ago, I called Sikania Resort to have some information about the location and the services provided and, in such occasion, I have been told - with great surprise - that my reservation had been cancelled on 12 May 2020. More specifically, I have been told that the reservation had been cancelled directly by Otel.com even though I have never intended to do so, and without being told anything about it by Otel.com or any person belonging to the Resort.
I had never used before Otel.com and I made for the first time a reservation through Otel.com because, according to Trivago, it was the best solution for my trip. Unfortunately, it was not the case, since I tried for ever to contact Otel.com and its customer center without results.
I will never use again Otel.com or any other website suggested or recommended by Trivago, and I am really disappointed with Trivago service since that what happened to me shows and proves Trivago has no a control over the other website and companies it recommends.
