I am not sure how a company like this one is still in business. Did not ship my first order, promised to re-ship with free next day air, a month later and still no contacts. Was forced to have the BBB step in and the company is still not taking action to make my order right. It's a constant fight, and for what?... to save a few bucks. Save yourself the headache and go with a more reputable company.
They promise free shipping, charge you for shipping AND add a handling fee. Buyer beware. Don't believe what their lies.
They have hidden costs not disclosed until they ship. They advertise free shipping but never give it. I paid for 3 day shipping and it is now 2 weeks and I don't have them. They assured me they would be here 2 days ago. When I called for customer support, the first time they disconnected me and I had to call back. The high reviews you see when you Google the company have to be a scam.
I orders contacts for both my husband and I - after almost 2 weeks I called to see why they still hadn't shipped. A FREE pair of sunglasses that was added to the order was NO LONGER available - so my order of the $200 worth of contacts was on hold... forever I guess... until I called in to find out where my order was. I cancelled it all! Seriously - no customer service call at all... just on hold... when I said why wasn't I contacted... answer was... the order just goes on hold when things are out of stock... now the waiting begins for my refund!
Wish I would have read the reviews on this site before ordering. It's been 3 weeks since I ordered my contacts and still haven't received them. The tracking only ever said a label was printed. After weeks I contacted the customer support only to be told they will look into this and get them out. Days later I get an email saying there's a delay and a new label and tracking will be sent to me. Hahaha yeah right! Still no new label, no contacts, only an email reminding me it's time to reorder my contacts! The only quick thing this place does is take your money! What a joke this place should be shut down!
Ordered on January 20th and money drawn from.my account right away. Received a notice that order was shipped on 23rd. So far from true. Only a label was created which means nothing. Pre shipment status when tracked through USPS. Nothing has been shipped and all customer service does is keep telling you it shipped when it hasn't! Another recent order i paced on an in stock item (no issues with prescription either) took 2 weeks, pretty poor when your site says shipped same day. Their customer service just DOES not give a care. I would give 0 stars if I could. 3rd order in a row with issues, I will NEVER order from them again and neither should you!
I placed an order for contacts on January 4th and on January 8th called customer service to make a correction to my prescription and the guy was very helpful and nice. On January 13th, I received an email notifying me that a shipping label was created and on the 14th the package had been received for shipping. Now I understand the USPS is slow but the company waited till the last second on their supposed 3 day processing terms to get my order shipped. Today is now January 20th 2020 and my contacts are finally supposed to be delivered tomorrow the 21st. I called the customer service and they were without a care in the world that I was not happy with my experience with their company and they were not willing to do anything for me for my inconvenience. When I spoke to the supervisor and asked for her supervisor I was told there is no other supervisor to speak to above her. I told her that I was going to cancel my order and she didn't care and just told me that I would be refunded upon the return of the shipment and that I would be responsible for shipping. This was a horrible experience! So if you want your contacts in a timely manner with better customer service use a different company!
To begin with, most of the contact lens sites are charging enormous handling fees. Opti-Contacts charged us a $38.00 handling fee - seriously? I decided to pay it because the price would have still been decent with the rebate. But that's where the second scam comes in. They list a rebate on the page for the contacts. When you click on the rebate box, it gives you the amount of the rebate if you have a new Rx and if you buy a year's supply - 4 boxes. But it doesn't give you the dates and that rebate had already expired. When I called to complain, they said it was still listed on the website so that people who had already purchased their contacts could still access it. Will never buy from them again.
This company literally printed off a biofinity toric label, slapped it on an off brand contact box and shipped them to my door.

The lenses we sell are sourced from the same suppliers that eye doctors use and there is no counterfeit contact lens market known in the entire world - nobody does it, the market doesn't exist. Packages from different lots may vary, as they could be produced or finished in different manufacturing facilities. As well, Biofinity Toric is sold under different private labels, for example AquaClear Toric. For this reason, different labels are applied to the exact same lens, and this could be the reason that it is possible for peeling.
We can tell you with utmost confidence, that we are 100% sure the lenses you received are 100% authentic, and safe to wear. We've been in business for nearly 15 years, all our products trace back to the actual manufacturers and we can't promise you enough that you are in good hands with us. We can see the origin of the product in our system and we can guarantee its authentic.

I used to shop at Opticontacts for my contacts needs, but I no longer do so due to two main reasons. The first is that the price that they list on Google is not the same when you search for the contacts on the site. I think that is downright misleading to customers. Why would the price be different on Google vs. a returning customer that is already aware of the website and searching for what they need? I felt absolutely mislead. The second reason is once you do add the contacts to your cart, you go to check out and realize the price is almost 1.5X higher with processing fees. For example, if I add 8 boxes of 90 day supply of contacts, Opticontacts tries to add a $25 fee per box. That's an extra $200 per order! For processing, what?! Also, the processing fee is different depending on whether you've added the contacts from the google search vs. organic website traffic. Why would there be a different processing fee for the same contact lenses?
I've attached pictures to back up both examples. The order process is not clear and misleading to consumers! I won't be returning. Maybe it's landed them a few dollars in the short term, but they're going to lose returning customers!

Coupons and promotions do not automatically get applied similar to when a brick and mortar retailer offers coupons by mail and you need to have them applied. OptiContacts has various special prices depending on where the deal is found. When ordering through a special promotional link the discounted price is automatically reflected. You will notice on the product page that the item is reflected as an "online only special" and has an offer code associated with the special price. This is our variation of the common promotions offered by brick and mortar retail stores but made for our online customers.

They advertised a good price on my Dailies Total 1 Multifocal contacts, but added a $102.43 Processing and Handling fee during checkout. Seriously, over a hundred dollars to process an order for 4 boxes of contacts? Needless to say I cancelled the order and will buy from another site.

In Google it is typical for sellers to have a product price and a separate processing fee. Our aim is to have the best bottom line total price on Google and we do. Had a valid prescription from an authorised optician here in Guam The optician had put a specific brand of multifocals on my script. Not the kind I wear. Opticontacts wouldn't let me order my Biofinity multifocals that I have worn for 7 years. Went back to the optician to have the name removed so I can order the ones I wear. That's not acceptable to O-Con either and will not fill my order without a specific brand on the script. I live in west Australia where I cannot get Biofinity brand which is why I had the specific brand removed from the script, hence the reason I am ordering them while in the US for a short time. Need to find a different company who is willing to take my money and valid script.

Contact lenses are medical products and contact lens prescriptions are brand specified since all the lenses are designed to feel and fit differently. We understand the rules may be different around the world however all orders filled within the US are processed based on the regulations put in place by the FDA to promote good eye health and prevent complications that may arise from contact lens wear. According to this, all orders can be filled only for the brand specified on the prescription. Please note it was not our intention to inconvenience you in any way. Bad Service Opticontacts is full of excuses.
Opticontacts is going to respond with "Every company is backordered". That's fine, just know that Opticontacts is MUCH WORSE!
I ordered on Aug 13. Based on other reviews, I expected the back-ordered email. I got it Aug. 14. Ok. I get a shipping notice, with a tracking number on Aug 26 - 8 business days, 13 days later. But, the post office has no record of the number. I wait for an update and none comes. August 31st - is when the Post Office actually receives the package. 13 business days after the back-ordered message.
It's September 3, and I might get my contacts on the 4th or 5th.
In the meantime, we have ordered from other companies, 6 pairs of glasses and 1 box of astigmatism contacts. We ordered later and have already received them - and guess what, the contacts were back-ordered there too. Still got them way faster!
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH OPTICONTACTS UNLESS YOU HAVE OVER 1 MONTH TO WAIT!

I would definitely use discountcontacts.com instead of Opticontact. I received my first order of lens, and had to keep changing the left contact every week because it seem the prescription was getting weaker by the day. I tried the last contact, with the same prescription from discount contacts, and the strength last over my normal 30 day routine. So giving them the benefit of the doubt, about two weeks ago, I placed another order with Opticontacts, and this time very POOR customer service. My order was placed on hold after the delivery date saying OUT OF STOCK. After weeks, I have yet to receive any kind of update on my order. This is a terrible company. PAY A LITTLE EXTRA FOR YOUR PEACE OF MIND AND BETTER QUALITY CONTACTS.#*******

Regarding the issues you have reported with the lens quality in your previous order, be kindly informed that the lenses we sell are sourced from the same suppliers that your doctor uses and therefore will be the same as you would get from your doctor or from any other authorized retailer. I ordered contacts from here and when I started wearing them I could tell there was something wrong. Turns out I had not purchased the ones for Astigmatism. BUT, they are suppose to confirm with your eye doctor that the prescription is correct but if they wait 8 hours and do not hear back, they fill the order (as allowed by law.). So now I have a box of 90 contact lenses that are no good for me. There customer service told me to contact my doctor to see why they didn't respond and didn't even offer a discount on a new order with the correct prescription.

They offer a very low price (about 40% off comparing to my trusted source), yet they add a very high processing fee (which it says including the processing & handling fees?) - the fee is even higher than the product's price. And they add shipping fee on top of that, while their website says it's free shipping. When you add all up, it is not much cheaper at all. I would be a first time buyer, but it did not earn my trust to do business with them.
I would never order from this site. It cajoles you into thinking you're getting low prices then slaps on HIGH processing fees & shipping costs not charged by other sites. I simply backed out of my ordr & went elsewhere to a site I can trust! :)
This is my first time ordering from them, and it will certainly be the last. I was surprised by the low price compared to buying from my optometrist, but there were other websites offering similar pricing. Now it's been over 1 month, and I still haven't received my contacts. They keep saying my order will ship soon, but clearly are either lying, or just have no clue. Highly unacceptable business practice.
I ordered contacts through opti contacts recently. When I made the order I sent in what I thought was my contacts prescription, but it turned out it was my glasses prescription. This error was caught before my contacts were shipped and I was notified by opti contacts informing me that they were not able to use that prescription because it was for glasses and asked for permission to contact my doctors office directly to obtain the correct prescription. I gave them permission and the next day I received a message saying that my contacts had shipped. When I got the contacts I quickly realized that I was sent the wrong prescription. I verified this by asking my doctor for my prescription. When I called opti contacts they blamed me and my doctors office for them sending me a prescription for contacts that they knew was for my glasses. Now they are unwilling to refund me for any of the contacts because I labeled the unopened boxes for my left and right eye. I think it should have been made clear to me that they would ship my contacts with the glasses prescription even if they did not hear back from my doctor! The email that I received from opti implied that they were unable to use any other prescription than the contacts prescription, but in the end they used my glasses prescription. This was misleading. In addition, I think if they have such a strict return policy it should be made very clear. I work for the legal department of an online company and I can say that this level of misleading communication and hidden policies would never be allowed at my company.
My wife did not notice that there was a $100 processing fee. I asked the person to cancel it when the office opened in the morning. They could not do it, stated that the order had been processed, and there was nothing that he could do about it. I asked the person if he had ever paid a $100 processing fee. He admitted that he never has paid a $100 processing fee when he has purchased items online.
Answer: They refuse to waive or refund. For me it was not disclosed until shipped.
