Bait and switch

Beware of their bait and switch advertising. They advertise a price per box with "free delivery" on google shopping. But when you check out, they ad on a $9.95 shipping fee. I called them to ask for my shipping to be waived as per their advertising. They told me no. So I cancelled the order.

Notice how the bad reviews are the customers fault

I ordered my contacts from here twice. The first time I had an issue with shipping but it was nobodys fault, the contact manufacturer simply did not have my eye strength in stock at the moment so I waited an extra like 4 days, but the entire time customer support was informing me of what was happening. The 2nd time is recently, and I ordered them yesterday and they already shipped! By FAR THE CHEAPEST for me! Also, the first time my prescription was messed up, but they reached out to me to fix it and verify it before shipping! 10/10 Best contact site EVER (There is a review that says it was not the cheapest for their contacts... so go to another website how is that opticontacts fault lol)

Will not order again

Purchased contacts on website was given a dollar total in the shopping cart. Went through an outside payment source to pay for my purchase, when I completed the sale the amount charged was more than cart said. Contacted customer service immediately after placing order and asked if I could cancel and they told me no. They said I had already used the discount code and they would not honor it. They told me I could return the contacts on my dime (more money). I will not order from this company again.

It's been two weeks and still no contacts and no word from OptiContacts. I've called 3 times. First guy said there was a delay in packing my order because it was for a full year. Well, if you don't have the product, you tell me so, you don't leave me hanging! Next agent said the contacts were on their way out the door; third agent said they were out the door. But wherever they are, they are still not at my doorstep, after two full weeks. Also, I never got any of the email notifications promised--I had to do all the reaching out and all in vain. I've been out of contacts the whole time. The discount would not have been worth the wait to me, if only they had informed me that there would be a delay. Everybody on the phone has been nice about it, but being nice about ineptness is no consolation to this customer. I hate wearing my glasses and I hate waiting on hold for agents to tell me they're sorry about my not getting what I paid for. Miserable experience. My optometrist offered me a much better discount which Acuvue offers only through doctors, which I passed up to search for better on the Web. My doctor's office usually handles it all for me. My Acuvue Oysas would have been at my front door in days at a $200 discount. What a fool I was to trust OptiContacts instead. I paid them more only for inconvenience and discomfort and consternation. This company is not to trusted. Find a trustworthy optometrist.

I decided to try out a new company and have been nothing but dissapointed. I placed my order on Dec 6th was told my contacts were not in stock so i waited a few days. Received an email that the order was shipped on Dec. 9th. The tracking states they will not arrive until Dec. 20th. Just poor service and will not use again.

Been a customer since 2013. I order contacts as normally and have received word they do not have my contacts in stok and on back order. Yet they are still charging me shipping to get in 3-4 days and I will be lucky if I get them in 10 days! They refuse to issue me some sort of credit. Who's $#*!ing fault is it that they do not keep proper inventory. This has happened in several times! Taking my business elsewhere!

This website is deceptive bordering on fraudulent. There are, as on other ecommerce contact lens retailers, processing fees associated with your order. On my order of approximately $115 worth of lenses, the processing fees were $24.41, or just shy of 25%. Whatever price you see, add a 25% hidden markup.

However, there is no mention of the fee or any associated line item displaying the fee in the Cart or Checkout screens, or even on the order confirmation screen. The fees are not listed in the order summary page after you have placed an order, and they are not listed in the confirmation email received after completing checkout. Only after you have placed and paid for your order can you REQUEST a full receipt (it is NOT sent automatically) that will actually display a processing fee you already paid for.

Fees are bad enough as is, but hiding them until after the transaction is complete and only displaying the fee after a special receipt is requested is beyond the pale. These are deceptive pricing practices and I will never buy anything from this business again.

Thank you for your feedback. A processing fee is charged however it is not hidden in any way. We try to make the processing fee as evident as possible however since the processing fee represents a percent from the total price of your contacts it cannot be calculated until you add your items to the cart. As such the processing fee is indicated on the page where you select your shipping method (2nd page of checkout) and included in the total cost shown on the last page before you complete the order.

I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM OPTICONTACTS AGAIN
BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU EXPECT A REBATE
I ordered from Opticontacts.com and it clearly stated there was a rebate available and to click on the checkbox so the form would be included in the shipment - I did not receive the rebate form and when I called they said the rebate was expired and that I could not get the rebate. I read everything before ordering to ensure a rebate since there was a rebate on other sites also for the same contacts and still today there are other websites showing a rebate. When I called they said that it was there just for previous customers that had ordered before the end of July (I ordered Sept 10th).

Hidden fees that they don't tell you about! Yeah their prices are good if you don't find out about the hidden fees until the go to check out almost 6 dollars a box it would be nice if they just put it up front just add it to the price, There prices will still be cheaper than other companies don't throw it in there at the very end that sucks and then when you call customer service they stand there and tell you that it is there in your cart no it's not in my cart I looked and looked the guy both these lies to you!... Hate to be lied to

Shady practices

My optician gave me the wrong prescription and I had submitted an order before I noticed the mistake. I had to return my order and they kept a 'handling fee' and shipping charges of over thirty dollars. I was just going to use the refund to reorder the correct prescription, but I will not be ordering from them again and they can stick the outrageous handling fee they charged where the sun don't shine.

Thought it was too good to be true because how are the prices so low and free sunglasses? But after days wondering if the package would arrive or if I had dropped 200 and it was all a scam. It came through with my exact order and the sunglasses.
It lost one star because the box was basically open when it was dropped off. *bad packaging. Someone could have took pack of lens..

4 emails later I still dont have an order update. The last time i ordered from Opti my contacts were on back order and I was never once notified of this. After almost 2 weeks I canceled the order and went to Lens.com and had my contacts in less than a week. Here I am again attempting to give them a second chance and I'm back in the same situation. This will without a doubt be the last time I place an order with Opti. Lens.com is absolutely awesome and I'd rather pay a dad bit more money versus waiting FOREVER to receive updates or products!

Do not use

I placed an order on 4/8/20 for contacts and provided my prescription the next day! After no response of shipment I emailed to confirm delivery of prescription. I was my item would be shipped 4/15/20. As of 4/21/20 their website shows that they are fully stocked but in an email received today 4/21 they are telling me it will be a few more days before shipped! Don't waste your time with this website. If something is out of stock it needs to say it on the website prior to ordering. I would have never ordered from them and I never will again.

The contacts seemed to be drying in my eyes quickly and they made finding a resolution to the issue very difficult. They had me contact Johnson & Johnson. I am still unhappy with the contracts given the discomfort I'm experiencing. Last year I bought contacts off of lens.com, they easily let me return my boxes and they sent me new ones no questions asked. From now on I'm buying from lens.com. Customer service with this company is horrible, I would spend my money elsewhere.
