You are probably looking at all the items and how alluring everything seems to be.
It's a Marketing Gimmick. It has a link on the search site about how people will connect
And get together to buy things and make it sound like it's something wonderful. Then a pop up comes up about your entitled to a 66.00 discount. These are all gimmicks of seduction. These people if they really exist I'm sure they are in hiding. I could never find them. I could never talk to them on the phone. No numbers no people. I went round and round trying just to locate them. I had a 500.00 Christmas order. After trying to locate them one day I noticed the order was cancelled! All the items had individually been cancelled. There is no company. They should be put out of business. It's a BIG INTERNET SHAM! WARNING::::: IF YOU TRY TO SHOP HERE YOU WILL SEE. THEY PUT PEOPLE ON THESE SITES FOR DEFENSE AGAINST THE COMPLAINTS. OBVIOUSLY THAT'S CHEAPER THAN A REAL BUSINESS AND REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE... Shop a a better place and make a statement to these people. Hopefully no customers left to fall for it no use for the pretty internet sham... Be the wiser consumer...
If you return something they charge you shipping, they charge you $7.95 restocking fee for each item return and they are a bunch of thieves.
Vicki is my hero! I ordered several phone chargers. I was told the order shipped. After 3 weeks they still had not arrived. My credit card was charged for the order. I contacted Open Sky and the vendor to tell them I wanted to cancel the order. The vendor said they just shipped it yesterday. I told them I still want to cancel the order. They told me they would not accept a cancelation because of the 14 day return policy. I reminded them it was 14 days after the receipt of the order. This is when Vicki came in. Vicki sent me a shipping label to return my order, and also refunded to me the total cost of the order. Thank you Open Sky and thank you Vicki! It is refreshing to have someone and company that stands behind their customer. Shame on you vendor! You need to reevaluate your customer service. You are lucky I don't mention your name.
AWFUL customer service.
On September 12,2014 I placed an order for camera strap through www.opensky.com. The total cost through them ended up being $129.00. I placed the order expecting to receive a conformation on shipping and never did. Yesterday (Sunday September 21st…TEN days after I ordered the product) I received an email saying the order was cancelled. On Friday Sept. 19, my bank account was compromised from a purchase I made at Home Depot and my bank closed my checking account and opened a new one. I didn't realize that my MoneyMaker was not yet charged on my previous card (10 days is a long time to finally be charged for something that wasn't even backordered), and when it was finally ready to be shipped, they tried billing my card that I had to cancel. Rather than receiving an email asking for a new card or payment method, the order was just cancelled with no explanation. I explained my situation to OpenSky and they refuse to help me with this problem or honor my order stating there's nothing they can do and I have to pay full price now. After I called them a second time to try and resolve the problem, I was hung up on.
I'd have to say any positive reviews are faked by the company. OpenSky is a poorly managed marketplace web site with little to no customer service to offer. I know most negative reviews are made in spite of a company - and I try my best to leave both positive reviews when I have a good experience, and usually give a store the benefit of the doubt before leaving a negative review, but I feel a certain obligation to inform the public of OpenSky.
I bought a simple, low cost, T-Shirt as a birthday present for a friend, and tracking has been sitting as "Label Created" for 2 weeks now. I thought I was placing my order far enough in advance for any carrier service to get the package to me on time, but the package hasn't even made it into their hands.
Of course, I read the reviews of OpenSky before purchasing and was skeptical about using the site, but it was the only place online I could find the product I am looking for.
I have had a relationship with this company for 11 months. Before my most recent 2 orders, I was reasonably happy with them. The last order was flat out cancelled, without an explanation as to why until I complained. But then it was becoming more and more apparent that the order placed BEFORE that one had not shipped. They had printed a label with UPS, but the tracking number states very plainly that UPS never received the package. That was on 8/21! I have tried emailing their 'customer love' department FOUR times and they refuse to even answer me! They stole my money and kept the merchandise I paid for. If you do business with OpenSky, you are taking a HUGE risk. They are deceitful and thieves.
If this was 6 months ago I would be giving a lot more stars. This site does give access to unique products many from small companies. Usually their merchants are very good but sometimes you they send the wrong product or even don't send an item. The customer service used be really good. One could call and get a person and have the problem resolved very quickly. Then it becam harder to call so one had to email. It took longer but still the problem would get resolved. Now there is no response via email and the customer service number I was able to track down just has a recorded message and does not answer. I had to post a message on the merchant's opensky feed. They got back to me right away and I'm expecting the item in the mail. All opensky did in response was post a like or love comment. So even though they have items I may like to purchase, I'm reluctant now as I know that if anything goes wrong I'm totally on my own. They sell some pricey items and it jsut doesn't seem worth the risk.
Open sky as well as its sellers are terrible. I've spent hundreds of dollars, placed many orders, all with in a short period of time, only to have large issues with at least half! Mold smelling items you have to pay restocking fees to return, items taking 2 months to ship, broken/ defective items, orders that get sent to entire different address in different state, orders with tracking that never actually ship, problems that take forever to resolve if they ever get resolved, items measurements incorrect online or mislabeled, hand made items made poor and tacky and then sent that way, hit or miss with customer service being helpful or getting back to you, can't ever get in touch with the seller, exchanges take forever, the list goes on! Here's an example for you too. Bought expensive sweater. Smells like mold/ old hot tub water. I can return it but I'm out original shipping and have to pay a large restocking fee. Defective item that can't be resold I either eat money or keep the non wearable item. Another. Handmade necklace with fingerprints all over it, inside the item which can't be removed. Unwearable! There are a very few nice companies on there. No issues with t shirts bought nor several portable chargers. I highly recommend you read ALL comments for seller prior to buying. I will say return shipping is free. Your sent a label. A lot of items are also out of stock. Colors and sizes are always limited. Things to also keep in mind. But Me? I'll never buy from them again.
I used to love this site and have been a loyal customer for several years, but recently they apparently have gotten rid of their customer service dept. There is literally no way to do returns or inquire about products. I have sent numerous emails to no avail, have received no response what so ever and literally had to reach out to the vendor to see if they could help. They very kindly are going to look into it for me. I have purchased some great things off of OpenSky, there are some wonderful vendors, but now am so disappointed with the lack of customer care that I am going to pull my account.
I paid 140.00 for rings they claim were delivered and they weren't delivered to me. The blunders were endless first they agreed to send replacements three days later told us they were not sending replacements to go to our bank and get a refund. This was amazing how UN professional this company was. I don't recommend anyone do business with them and please don't send them any money.
Here is the deal with Open Sky... 2 week shipping. I ordered an item, a Atmos Vape Pen for $20 bucks, sound great, right? They retail for $59 on Amazon. I ordered on 8/1/14 a shipping label "was created on August 6th" and that is all the tracking info they have using the USPS website. I'm still waiting, and it's 8/11/14 - no order, no tracking. Open Sky, if you want to stay in business, you better fix this because I buy from Amazon and I don't put up with bait and switch nonsense - you should say "we sell stuff cheaper because it takes the slow boat from China to deliver it to you."
I have ordered from OpenSky multiple times and my experience has been great! Highly recommend if you're looking for unique stuff at a great price. Customer service has been more than helpful.

To all who is complaining about OpenSky, its because when you buy so cheap stuff is made of China! So of course the quality of the product is cheap and poorly made! I have all my purchase from handmade people in OpenSky, they are beautiful and highly made! The quality is American made! American people should try to buy handmade in USA! That will solve the problem of your unhappy purchase!
Very cheaply made items, prices good but no quality.
I have used them a few times, but this last time was the WORST. I ordered a mug received the wrong item, then their customer service took more than a month to give me a refund. Not to mention I had to contact the BBB to get said refund.
Even though I started with OpenSky 3 years ago (my 1st order), all of my other purchases have been over the past year. Out of 7 orders, I only had a problem with one, because the seller was out-of-stock on what I ordered. Even tho' seller emailed me, she sent out a substitute before I could respond to her email. I got right on the phone with OS's customer service & they handled it, esp. Since substitutions are not part of their policy. I've been thoroughly happy with my purchases, ranging from candles to scarves, but do advise to read the product descriptions carefully, and any buyer feedback.
Ordered some jewelry, wrong size sent, sent several emails to their "customer love" as they call it, not me, even sent them a post on facebook which they "liked" but never responded. I advise never to order from this company no matter how cool the item looks, because if you get it and it is not what you expect you will never get in contact with anyone there.

RUN FAST & FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, unless you don't mind waiting a minimum of 30-45 days for your order, don't care if you have little to no customer service, don't mind PAYING a restock fee even if your order was screwed up. Opensky is a middleman. Most of, if not all, The merchandise comes from China. The EARNED their one-star rating by shoddy practices. They've even resorted to posting fake 5-star ratings! So stupid that they posted EXACT comments.
